Hello Marty, I asked you last week what make your Scroll Saws were. Thanks for your reply…..I bought a 16” Delta off eBay. Regards Brian
Oh I'm glad you found one that's great! Which one did you get? So if the stroll saws are too old like back in the '50s or so those are kind of cumbersome and don't work the best, but if they're from '90s on they're still great, especially the Deltas with a quick release blade holders. I like the older Deltas better than any of the new saws. Hope you got a good one and you enjoy. 🙂
It’s the 40-540. I’ll quiz you again, your recommendation on blades for these machines? Loved your wood work show! B
Just noticed the instruction manual is dated 9-1-98. B
@brianmcgrevey9832 Nice! Tthat is one of my favorites. I have three of those. So like I have mentioned before I like to use a #5 blade for almost everything. But #3 also works good for thin wood and #7 works good for thicker wood. As far as brands I like the Olsen and Flying Dutchman blades, but there are many other brands that are great too. Have fun!
@brianmcgrevey9832 I assume it takes pinless blades but if not you can also buy pin blades.
