  • The Joker Ember is very popular as a bushcraft knife. Do you want to change to the Joker Bushlore? In this video I test them side-by-side on some basic bushcraft tasks. Enjoy, and I hope it helps you choose.
    Greetings Wim
    Thanks to Boaz and Milan for filming.

    Hi there! I'm a big fan of Morakniv. With my Mora 2000, I can handle everything I need for camping and in the forest. But I wanted a cooler knife. However, the Mora AHS WOOD collection costs $200 for the same steel as the Companion. That's ridiculous! Then I discovered the Joker Bushlord. I watched your video and trusted the knife. I ordered it online, and it arrived today. I'm very satisfied with it. Thanks for your video!

    Joker blades and sheaths are awesome. Well done video bud. I own the lynx, excellent knife. 😊

    I’ve owned the Joker Ember with curly birch scales for a year and a half. It is quite a versatile knife for camping and bushcraft. The thickness and grind are great for larger tasks. Fine, detailed carving is possible but cumbersome. I have a smaller, thinner Kellam Puukko for fine carving. The two together are great companion knives.

      Sounds like a great combo, I like the Ember aswel, I replaced it with the Trampero because of the pommel. I use a Mora 1 or 1/0 for finer work. But there are many options.....

    Joker knives are great! I have both of these, as well as 23 others. Both of these are outstanding knives. I'd have a hard time deciding which one I like best.

    Very nice knifes 🔪. I wouldn't mind owning one of those beauty's. I looked at the five at the end,I'd end up buying more than just one style of blade from them. There just to nice to pass up owning more than one.
    Informative video, well done. Have a great day 😀. Peace 🙏

      Nice knives indeed, I bought the Trampero as a midway between Ember and lore. So that makes three..... Could be my new user knife (affordable but good). But always nice to have options....
      Enjoy and greetings,

    I love joker knives because they deliver great quality knives for a very affordable price, I have 2 one of which is the ember and one is the campero. The bush lore is indeed very similar to the casustrom but I heard that casustrom has their knives manufactured by the joker knife company so that's why they're virtually the same even with the same steel. It's just cheaper and I have been thinking about getting the lars fallt casstrom but I might as well buy another joker.

      Great knife indeed, and if you don't like the pommel you can look at the Nordico. Lot's of choices on the Ember theme.

    The Ember is the better all around knife.
    For one thing, it has a great exposed pommel.
    However, if you drill a lot with your outdoor knife, you may prefer no pommel.

    The grind should be higher, it doesn't slice food well

    whats the difference between the bushlore and the bushlord?

    • @traveler5898
      @traveler5898  3 месяца назад

      I believe they are the same but depends on the market. So Europe is Bushlore, US and others is Bushlord. It's something like that.

    Good to see a knife lover not put his cutting hand thumb on the back of the blade…aka..open grip…closed grip is awesome for power and finesse..

      He Edwin,
      Altijd leuk om verschillende messen te proberen. Ik woon in Amsterdam. Niet echt een bos om de hoek. Eten en drinken is een beetje lastig. neem je van
      alles mee of wil je alles uit het bos halen. Ik ben zelf nu bezig met wat eetbare kruiden te leren. Wellicht een keer van de zomer het bos in.
      Waneer heb jij gediend, ik alleen dienstplicht in 93/94.
      Groet Wim

    The ember grind is too wide. It should be brought halfway up the flat of the blade

    • @TheDaveDryden
      @TheDaveDryden Месяц назад

      Any knife that is ~4mm with a scandi doesn't perform the best that it could. Flats or saber (like the lynx) are best at 4mm+. I reground the Nordico for a higher scandi grind and the performance is drastically better for carving
