G'day Mark, totally agree, the value is there with Joker alright. I only have the one, (Nomad in N695), but the same level of craftsmanship and bang for buck is immediately apparent. I'm quite a fan of 14C for particular "designs and grinds", (at a fair price point) and I reckon Joker do understand there's different sized hands out there too. All in all, couldn't see anyone going too far wrong with their chosen model. Cheers Duke.

Recently purchased the Joker Ember with Curly Birch handle as a result of this review. I’ve used it for over a month and the knife, sheath, and fire steel all perform well. Needed to lightly sand and oil the handle out of the box, but I would have done that regardless. My XL hand fits the knife quite well.

Joker ,makes great Knives. I own the Ember, The only thing that gives me pause ,are those Snaps used on the Dangler loop, they are to easy to come apart, not the strongest. Be careful using the Dangler. The value is there for theses Knives.

I have been running a Mora Garberg (same steel) along with these knives. So far, they are very comparable in terms of edge holding. My Jokers have taken a micro-bevel from the stropping I do which I feel helps with edge holding. Will likely do a long term use comparison between these two knives. Thanks for commenting

Are the two knives you reviewed, forged or stock removal, this point is very important. With a forged knife, there is some flexibility in the blade therefore ,you can go with a thinner blade with similar strength vs. a stock removal made blade. A thinner blade has less mass which slices better but the downside is the cost....another enjoyable and great review...

You know as much as I like the looks and I love 14c28n. What I can't get past is they don't offer anything for lefthanded people. So I get a knife then have to buy another sheath. That changes the value.
I ended up buying the mora Garberg because for $55 I got the stainless and the multi mount system. Can't imagine beating that value. My carbon knife is the BPS adventurer. Another one I gotta get a sheath for.
Those spanish knives are beautiful. They used to be very affordable but they have went up $30-40 more in the last 2 years.
I don't believe a bushcraft/survival knife should cost as much as a handgun.
