The reason why people watch isn't just because your vids can help with the use of air frier but mainly because you are down to earth . Thanks for the videos my wife and I love them 💕
The manufacturer's of those silicone grabber, thingies, which a viewer kindly sent in, with the silicone liner baskets, well they should get a licence agreement with Namco, and make a Pac-Man version, of the grabber, essentially yellow instead of black, and already, almost there. Hi Kerry. You are amazing how you keep your cool when you’re not sure that something might not turn out. I tend to get into a real fluster when cooking doesn’t go to plan. Also I love how you are such a tidy cook. My kitchen gets into a huge mess when I’m cooking. You’d think a tornado had hit the place. 😂
Cooked my frittata tonight ( here in New Zealand) it was a mixture of 3 eggs 100 ml cream 1/2 cup tasty cheddar together with chopped ham sautéd with 1/4 cup chopped shallot 1/4 cup chopped mushrooms . I cooked it for 45 min at 160C then browned the top for 10 mins at 185 C home made pastry cooked blind for 10 mins at 175 removed beans and finished 8 mins thank you for suggesting this airfryer recipe it made it easy to tweak to my Cosori fryer ❤❤😊
I sure love quiche, Kerry, and I love following your recipe guidelines 🙂 The quiches you prepared certainly look much nicer than the ready ones you can buy from the supermarket xx
I have only just started watching your channel I watched your quiche recipe. I use a combination of cream and crème fraîche in mine which makes it less rich but still taste beautiful. It makes it easier if you drape the pastry over the edge of your quiche container it tends not to shrink as much. I roll the pastry slightly thinner if I use ready rolled to make two quiches I use for whole eggs and two egg yolks 200 g of cheese one 300 mL carton of cream one 200 mL of crème fraîche
Yes I cook mine in a sage air fryer in a tinfoil tray. I pre-heat the air fryer before I blind bake the pastry crust. I find that it cooks better with smaller pieces eg: ham, broccoli, cheese.
So glad I am not the only person who talks to my appliances and uses thingamajigs! Quiches worked out well in the end, thanks for letting us watch and learn
😄and whatjamacallit is another one lol. Thank you Julie, they were lovely just need to refine technique. Lots of useful tips coming from the comments 👌💕
I used to make a lot of crustless quiche (Slimming World) in my Ninja. The first one was perfect but I didn't write the time or temps down and have had problems with it ever since. The underside of the foil is meant to be non-stick, the shiny side isn't which I think is why your foil stuck. Another great video Kerry, I will have to look to see if you have done an updated one as I really miss my quiche. xx
Kerry your just so down to earth great video The baskets are so usfull I cooked chicken cubes and cut up Smokey bacon when nearly cooked add leek cut up fine cook for a few mins until sofend pour a tin of thick chicken soup in and a little milk . warm through cook and mash potatoes add on top pop some grated cheese on top and let it cook untill brown take my basket out serve from basket with green beans lovely you will find them very usefull Lovley gift for you
Hi Kerry, Thank you for my mention, big smiles on my face lol! I hope the silicone baskets work ok, as I have read some of the comments below. You are a breath of fresh air my little domestic goddess, always watching you! Quiches looked lovely in the end. You do crack me up! I look forward to the next one! 🥰🥰
Oh thank you Michele, it was a lovely gift and the first one ever too! I cannot wait to try them out, some good suggestions I've had - am thinking chicken thighs and sweet chilli sauce, will plan to use them for a vlog me thinks. You are lovely, thanks again Michele 💕💕💕💕
Managed to get my Cosori just before Christmas and have to say I am loving it! My son bought me a recipe book for it for my birthday, cos he said he could 'hear' I was getting excited about my new 'toy' !😆 Good to see its got loads of normal, everyday food recipes with everyday (non-posh!) Ingredients! Anyway, I digress...I watch your vids because they are essentially what I (and many others I'd say) would make. I confess to giggling about the collapsed pastry sides - the air would be blue if that'd happened to me!🤬 I've made a fritata-type of thing (aka a big fat omelette) which came out really well. I used a really shallow, small vic.sponge tin and a round parchment cake liner. I cut it down so it didn't burn (good tip I read somewhere). I suppose it was like a crustless quiche. Best thing I've made recently: some fakeaway Greggs Steak Bakes. Made some stewed steak & onions in the slow cooker the night before and just copied Greggs' pastry shape....eell nice. Oh and oven chips are lovely and crisp...so much for our low carb diet!😉 Thanks for your vids and advice....nice to see someone else who only has a limited space to work with - we haven't all got American-sized kitchens here in the 🇬🇧 unfortunately.
Thank you for watching 1960gal! Loved your comment and your tip for the frittata type omelette is brill👍💕 I didnt expect the shrinkage as a complete novice lol, now I know to flap the pastry over the edges😃💕
Kerry regarding the. Quiche don’t fold the pastry. Down you needs deep sides. Cook on bake for about 20mins. 180c I would have put all the mixture in to make a nice deep custard hope this helps dianxx try baking in the corsori
Hi Kerry, just done your chicken and sweetcorn pies. Really pleased with the way they turned out. Might try a slightly lower temp next time (used 190*) as the tops were slightly over done but tasted delicious. Added mixed herbs for an extra bit of flavour but that’s preference. Gonna try the steak pies next. Thank you. X
I’ve always said if it doesn’t work out for you the 1st time try and try again until you get it right! I love ❤️ quiche with salad and coleslaw…love your vlog 👍
Hi Kerry, you made my mouth water again! Those quiches look delicious, even if they were a bit of a problem! One thing that amazes me is, your preparation/cooking area is so small, I don’t know how you do it, it would drive me to distraction! I’m wondering if you started off the quiche on a lower setting for about 15 mins, then bumped it up, that could work.
Thank you Jenni☺️oh my gosh the kitchen is tiny and with the ninja taking up quite a bit of workspace, its def very annoying. The sockets are on that wall only as the sink is on the other side🥴
Something i read years ago, forget which cook it was now but I always do it for blind baking cause it works and that is to prick the base and then give it a brush allover with egg white. Always seemed to work even if SR flour has been used to make my pastry. Stops all that palava with beans etc which I would get everywhere other than in the pie dish.
Hi Kerry think the problem was to much cheese not letting the eggs to set up hi made the same mistake make them no problem now I love the way you leave every thing in it's like you say it's a learning curve for every 1 hope you try again and video it happy cooking
I think the quiche looks lovely. I've only cooked crustless quiche in my ninja and it came out great. I just put it in a shallow dish and it cooked it fine. I have only used my silicone baskets for cooking chicken thighs and baking pastys, sausage rolls etc, it just stops my ninja getting dirty as I can just pop the baskets in the dishwasher.
Hey Kerry, Love your videos because they're realistic and down to earth. I think you should have used more eggs in the mixture. I'm going to try this method! Thanks for sharing I have a ninja max as I'm a single person! 😁
Hi Kerry, you are an amazing lady, so down to earth, says so much about who u are. Would love a "WISH LIST" to help you in your Demo's and Channel. You are the BEST. 🥰💯👍👍

Hi Kerry I have used the baskets for cottage pie and apple crumble but I found them a nightmare to clean so I got my husband to cut off all the ridges inside so they are great now 😋👍
@@deniseclaffey6362 oooo what was in the basket and what was the setting/temp Denise? It may have been steam? My drawers let off a fair bit of steam depending on what I'm cooking
Hi Kerry, I haven’t tried quiche in the air fryer but personally I think you had too much cream and not enough eggs so the mixture could not set. Better luck next time ❤
I cooked my short pastry after a 5 min 160 preheat then 5 min blind and 10 min with beans out. Making quiche tomorrow so will let you know how it goes.
If you spray the foil with oil it won’t stick to the cheese. I’ve not tried this, but maybe with the grate the heat would circulate better? Thanks for the videos! You sound just like me when you aren’t sure about things. 😂😂😂
Great video Kerry. You have so much patience. I would have been in a right old flap. It looked really nice. As you say, it's a learning curve. Next time will be perfect.

II add flaked salmon to mine (buy cheap frozen cuts) then same ingredients as you. 20-25 minutes @ 180 degrees.
this is the recipe for quiche that I use - mainly I think the air fryer recipes need to use less cream than you might if done in the oven....
Ingredients
3 eggs
1/4 bell pepper diced
1/4 c onions diced
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp cheese shredded
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
olive oil spray
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 325 F. for 10 minutes.
In a bowl whisk eggs, then add all other ingredients and stir together.
Spray 4" oven safe ceramic dish with non stick spray. Then pour egg mixture inside.
Put into air fryer basket for 8-10 minutes total or until middle is no longer wet. Let sit for a few minutes when it is removed to solidify and eat right out of the dish.
