Love sweet potato fries - I also bake sweet potatoes in the air fryer…yummy. A tip for fries is to put them in a freezer bag, add oil and manipulate the fries to coat in the oil, add seasoning, hold the bag closed and shake to coat. Keeps hands nice and clean!
Great recipe Kerry, thanks. I cook my sweet potato fries on Max temp to get them crispy. I also spray them before adding seasoning as I don’t like mayo. Quick tip put fries in old marg/butter container spray put lid on and shake them up to coat them.
Hi Kerry another way for me to try sweet potato fries. A little tip, when your cooking chicken that has marinate on, line the bottom under your crisper tray and it really helps when cleaning as the honey can be quite sticky. I find it saves a lot of time cleaning. I love making chicken coatings and trying different things to taste. Another great vlog Kerry.
Hello from Greece!! I just discovered your channel, and subscribed almost immediately , as i'm planning on getting the previous Ninja model ( AF400) and I love how informative and easy to follow are your videos . Will come really really handy for ideas and tips and how to use the settings and different recipes i could try in it. Thank you !!!
Brilliant Kerry!! Never been able to crisp up sweet potatoes, but will try the mayo & seasoned flour trick. Super idea to pimp up the chicken wings. Have a great weekend.
Hi Kerry,Trish. So impressed with the way you are moving forward with your Channel. The way you now use your equipment is impressive ,becoming very skillful in that department. Great recipe, send me some over. We share the same area. 🍽💕
Nearer to Chelmsford, not far at all. You remind me very much of a long ago young me,so much zest for life. You are someone l do very much connect with🥰👋
Hi Kerry this meal looks delicious, a lovely combination. I buy McCains sweet potato crispy fries, you only get 500 gms so they work out expensive.Their coating includes Sunflower oil, Maize and rice flour. They air fry within 10 mins. They don't crisp as much as potato fries. I have never thought of making my own, I will have to try some. Thanks for the video. Eileen
Thank you Eileen💕💕so I just checked, a 1kg bag of sweet potatoes (5 pots) cost 99p in lidl, not bad at all cost wise. Next time I will cook on max crisp not airfry👌
Hi Kerry I cook wings every week and normal for them is 20 minutes. I have about the same amount as you. Love the sweet potatoes. New way for me. Will certainly try them. Don’t know what tempt you are cooking the fry’s on but at the end just go to the hugest setting for a short time to really crisp them When open the drawer just shake it saves time. Thank you for a very good videos
Loved the video as usual Kerry but sorry I’m not so fond of the music x you’re just getting better and better at your demonstration skills x keep up your greet work xx
Loving the chicken wings Kerry , we tend to leave the skins on the sweet potatoes and put them into a large freezer bag then add oil and seasoning then flour and give a good shake . Do the same when coating chicken . it coats everything very well and crisps the sweet potatoes lovely . Carry on with the great recipes 😋
Definitely going to try that marinade. Anything with honey in gets my vote! And if you rub a little oil onto the bowl of your measuring spoon the honey just slides off. No need to scrape.
It was Carole, sooo tasty😋👍, you could always use maris piper or similar. I made Al lunch today (late shift so it needed to be substantial) and used your crinkle cut chipper for the first time, sublime. Best chips yet👌 cannot wait to show them in use on a vlog👍💕
That looked very nice, you did a much better job at cutting the wings than I did the other week when I cooked some 😂 think your fries weren’t crispy because as you said there were too many in the fryer also don’t keep spraying with oil just spray once as the oil soaks in and takes longer to burn off making them soggy. I will be trying that marinade as it looked really tasty.
Put 5 to 10 ml, maybe a bit more, of oil in the jar and swirl it around to get the last of the mayo off the sides of the jar. Water works just as well.
Will try this but with chicken thighs….I hate picking about with wings! I also love making my own coleslaw, I use red cabbage as well as white (i freeze what’s left over of the cabbages in portions because it’s only me who likes it). Thanks especially for the breakdown at the end it really shows what can be achieved on a budget. Thank you. Bye 💁🏼♀️
Great vlog Kerry, try coating fries in semolina after spraying with oil, makes them very crispy, i use it for roasties, also i love the music you’ve used for this vlog 🤗🏴
Aww thanks Pat and that's a great idea, will def try that. Semolina isn't something lidl sell but I think my local budgens will, send the boys on a semolina mission lol. Good to have it in the cupboard. Used to love semolina pudding at school - dollop of jam in the middle 😋😋🏴💕
Hi Kerry, I’d never separated chicken wings until yesterday when I did Korean wings (yum). As soon as you apply pressure with the knife you know if your in the right place! Btw loving my Kuhn Rikon salt and pepper mills x
Oh that's fab Traci💕 it was first time for me on the vlog! 😄 love my kuhn rikon mills too. Spent a small fortune buying cheap mills over the years, at least these should last👌💕
You all ways make my mouth water they look delicious 😋 I don't like sweet potatoes but would do normal potatoes 😋 another good recipe thanks kerry for sharing xx
Thank you Carol!💕 I googled cosori recalls, wowzers. Update: I've watched butlers empire vlog about it (very good) explains it all - a US problem not UK👍👍👍
Yes Bruffy, the Cosori recalls made me think twice too, but I particularly wanted a removable inner basket and the fault is apparently only in the 130 volt US models, not our UK 240v, so I went ahead and bought one anyway.
Hi Kerry, everything looks delicious 😋.Please can we have your coleslaw recipe?.Iam wondering if the sweet potatoes 🍠 chips would ever crisp up?Love sweet potatoes 🍠 never had them other than boiled or roasted in big oven so looking forward to cooking 🧑🍳 some in air fryer. Thanks again Iam learning so much from you Kerry 🧑🍳❤️❤️❤️😘😘
Thank you Patricia 💕💕 the coleslaw recipe is at the end of the vlog, quantities anyway, just shred white cabbage, finely cut/shred red onions, grate carrot, mix altogether with mayo and salad cream. Add seasoning to taste and voila! you've got your own coleslaw👌😋. The price comparison between the homemade coleslaw and shop bought coleslaw is at the end too👌💕next time it's part of a meal I'll show making it😃👍
Wonderful recipe, my Kerry's recipe note book is filling up fast. guess we'll be trying this one out Monday. I do make my own coleslaw as there's too much dressing on factory made ones and too much price as well.
After watching your video Kerry,i feel very hungry lol,i have a problem with getting sweet-potato to crisp up,but going to give it a try, thanks enjoy your weekend x
I think it could and after reading a few comments, they're often cooked on max crisp Pat😃👍 I did normal homemade chips tonight and used max crisp, best chips yet!
Hehe looks very tasty. A little tip I was given about treacle and honey warm spoon under hot water before popping either on it comes off really easy. Not telling you what to do just a useful tip I was given and I thought was brill. It’s surprising how tasty chicken wings are isn’t it. I think you would make a good surgeon hehe bless you. Could you pop chips on crisp. My son does this on his ninja that crisps them up. Mine isn’t a ninja so not sure about that bit
Have you tried the Hz setting on the camera yet? That food looked great, shame the chips weren't crispier!! I'd have done a separate batch of wings while the first lot of chips were doing to get them more coloured, but looks good!
Thank you Daz☺️💕 yes I went into settings and it's on 60, so put it to 50 and it flipping reverted to 60. Tried about 10 times, kept going back to 60 - it's a gopro. I've not got the main ceiling light on any more which helps as that had a tiny flicker. Thanks for trying to help👍will do some googling👌
@@budgetcookinguk oh no 🥹 Not sure why it's reverting, but that will be the reason for the flicker as the UK works on 50Hz not 60Hz like elsewhere 🫤 If you can change that, you'll be good 😊 Check the firmware is up to date maybe?

Hi Kery that chickin looks good but them chips looking like to much of a faf ive got that same oil spray not the best as when it gets 3/4 empty its hard to get it out but ive seen some tictok users you can get a proper re=fillable spray bottle
You are soooo lovely. A genuine mum, doing the best for your family but also with a love of taste and cooking. Thank you so much. Px
For crispy sweet potato fries, I coat mine in a little oil, then coat them in a sprinkle of polenta and smoked paprika
Polenta! Thank you Alyson 😃👍💕
I love watching you. It's better than TV chefs. Thank you.
Tv chefs who needs them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you Beth💕💕 the wings were £1.99 for 1kg as well (in lidl) great value for a friday night dinner fakeaway👌
Sesame seeds would have been lovely on the chicken before cooking, thank you so much for showing these new dishes.

Used to love semolina at school with jam in the middle😋 thanks Jackie, great tip worth trying next time👌👍💕
@@budgetcookinguk I still do love semolina, but I don’t put the jam in as I am diabetic.
