So glad I found this. The tune has looped through my head endlessly for days now. (I prefer the open D/capo setting as well. I hate doing those upward tunings to get open E. While you have that tuning try Sliding Home by Danny Gatton. It's in the transcript book for 88 Elmira St.)
Ry Cooder recorded an excellent version of Travelin Man / Police Dog Blues many years ago. Here are the lyrics as best as I can remember them. great lesson on this song...just a suggestion on the PowerTab...the tab part is perfect, but the standard notation is off because you didn't input the open tuning for the guitar. I use PT a lot. Of course this only matters if you use the standard notation too. Anyway, really appreciate the effort you put into this. It helped with the tricky parts!!
