My 2 favorite musicians/songwriters. I'm surprised no one has posted the rest of the songs from this show. I guess RUclips has spoiled me! Thank you for this :)
Love him Soooooo much. Hope to see him live for the 19th time soon. Awesome version of this as well, and featuring Jerry Garcia, it can't get much better. tim simpson
Wow...If only Bob had been in this kind of mood more often, to sign his songs with these subtle but beautiful variations, with this kind of singing...he could've raised the average happiness level of humanity...more so that he already has that is.

He opened for the Grateful Dead for years - then Garcia said - "what the hell is wrong with you - you've written some of the greatest music ever - you get up - and play the same six songs every night. That spurned Dylan to relook - and had Garcia not told him off - we might not have him today....
Margaret Griffith this is the show Dylan was talking about after Garcia died. They were having trouble selling tickets, so Bill Graham went to Jerry and said Dylan wants you to play with him. Jerry was excited and showed up and Dylan was like, what are you doing here. Graham leaked it that Jerry was gonna appear and tickets sold. After Garcia passed Dylan mentioned in his statement that when Dylan was at his lowest, Garcia was there for him and he was talking about this show. Wish I discovered this on you tube sooner, it’s a great version of a great song. And you’re right about the dead’s influence on Dylan. He was getting ready to retire and they were like, dude, you have a zillion songs. Mix it up a little and things don’t get stale. Dylan incorporated dead tunes into the repertoire in the late 1990s and sounded great and still is great to see in concert.

Bob talk-We sound like the Grateful Dead tonight. (before In the Garden) Jerry Garcia played guitar on all songs from To Ramona to The Groom's Still Waiting At The Altar 16 November. .
Bob talk-Thank you. Well, I don't know exactly what to say here. Different peoples been coming down to the theater every night so far. And this night is no exception I guess. Anyway this is, keep ..., here's a young man I know you know who he is. I've played with him a few times before. I'm a great admirer and fan of his and support his group all the way, Jerry Garcia. adandap Officially Willy Smith played the keyboards during that tour. But maybe, for that special rendez-vous, Nicky Hopkins climbed the stage. If you hear Nicky's style, who knows?
Wonderful! There will never be anyone like him - Bob Dylan!
fantastic guitar
this is gorgeous
A great song lost and found!
Outstanding. This is so richly and deeply a Jerry Garcia production (and Dylan was fantastic too).

Yes, just makes me think how much better the 1987 Dylan Dead shows could have been in smaller venues.
Dylan and Garcia...so perfect. Thank you for posting!
Seriously, what did Garcia contribute that any other studio artists couldn’t have done?
I AM HERE JUST FOR YOU BOB

Some people are comparing Garcia to Dylan ridiculous, that’s like comparing Christ to the disciples and the only one who doesn’t care is Dylan
where is this come from? any chance of the whole gig? its a dream
@chris bolei , they were at the Orpheum Theater (or was it the Fox..?)
I got my ticket its the Warfield
Guessing I hear Nicky Hopkins on keyboards as well? Nice.
It's Willie Smith on keyboards.
Cool - thank you. I've been listening to the Jerry Garcia Band a lot lately, and the style seemed very similar.
adandap Officially Willy Smith played the keyboards during that tour. But maybe, for that special rendez-vous, Nicky Hopkins climbed the stage. If you hear Nicky's style, who knows?
Nice guess.
I'd like to know who the 4 people are who disliked this and why (genuinely disliked this? just being assholes? just trying to stir people up?)
Some people just ARE aholes. The saddest is that they dont even try.
Haha so much caring about nothing!
Sined Lohan is the best version. ..
