Shekhar, you are maybe a decent person and a fine journalist but the thing is you try to press Modi when
you are in prime and Modi was vulnerable
      ex:- ruclips.net/video/niNRq5xZ-3o/видео.html
on the other hand, you were doing "aap aam kaise khate hai" type of interview with Sonia
      of that time it shows
      ex: ruclips.net/video/6Tv2XDhirko/видео.html
this shows what you are pretending to be and really from where you are coming
and now when Modi is in his prime and you are no longer a top journalist of a big group
no offense to The print but it is still not so big
you have a balanced mouth so you are always able to hide your emotions
but the bitterness to Modi always cast a shadow in your journalism
same thing and advice to you try to more constructive to the society and cast the narrative for
the future of the society not just bcz someone not giving importance to you do not
become like ravish who is now more hateful rather than balanced

Mr Mukherjee see all phases of Congress .He was witness of phase in which Congress has internl democracy upto a extent and also witness of the Dictator phase of Congress.
But he was always part of a OLIGARCHY group of leaders and in some sense similar to Nehru.Since after Indira there was no one of His stature in Congress. So it was natural for him to consider himself for the chair of PM.
But after 1984 ,Darbari culture became more dominant in Congress.Rajiv empowered group of leaders loyal to him. After Rajiv gandhi assasination such leaders created 2 power centre in Congress. One PV NARSHIMA other Sonia Gandhi.Moreever during same time PRIVATE TV Media started to groom. After Narshima Rao Congress moved out of the power almost from everywhere.
Media portrayed Sonia Gandhi as symbol of struggle.
This slowly earn sympathy in the people s heart for Sonia Gandhi.Moreever People have became used Too of Gandhi Sirname.

Mr Mukherjee apart from his personal integrity had nothing to offer. He was the chief UPA trobleshooter, but aways conceeded to unfair demands of smaller coalition partners, he always played it safe for the sake of keeping his job.
As a Finance minister he was a disaster, his ghosts are still haunting india in the form of retrospective taxation, how can someone who claimed to believe in constituition overturn a Supreme Court verdict in favor of Vodafone?
His claim that he would have saved UPA's face in 2014 elections, had he been in Congress is ludicrous for a man who had no mass appeal whatsoever to win elections. He himself was unelectable, he always chose backdoor through Raya Sabha.
Congress was jinxed whenever they overturned Supreme Court verdicts as in Shahabano's case of 1980s. Some.eerie parallels can be seen here Congress was routed in 2014 after his misadventure of yet again overturning SC verdict in Vodafone's favour.

Well explained by Sekharji for his experience in political journalism.. specially for his past interviews with all big leaders & statesmen of the country for last 30 years & more.. His assessment needs to be taken seriously specially by the students of Indian Politics for future research. Great.

I am not the one who knows all of the big words how big Pranab Mukherjee was. But the biggest blunder was a retrospective tax that he brought up and with the late UPA II land reforms which almost put private investment out of business which is generally good for development and create more jobs that's the biggest deservice he did to this country.

I thought this was an unnecessary National Interest - Pranab Mukherjee's chronicles of his political career is not worth a National interest. He was a politician who carried his grudge of not becoming a PM to his grave. We'll sympathize with that - especially since Congress and Gandhi parivar were his antagonists. That being said, what tangible political mark did he leave ?

PM is not legally bound to inform President before demonetization-like decisions. He might have a complaint about it on the personal ground (expectation from Modi as a person) In fact secrecy was the principal requirement before demonetization. Even kids would understand the rationale behind the secrecy requirement.
