You make such beautiful and relaxing videos. With all the stuff about the virus and all the anger in the world we need to escape for a while and you give us that opportunity Phil with your wonderful vlogs. Thank you
Thank you Mandy. The world seems to be getting crazier by the day.
The cloud is impressive ,.Thank you for taking the time so we could see it!.....😊
That was a very hard climb! Before I started doing the walking videos.
What a beautiful job. Thanks!
Brilliantly done Phil.
Nice work.
Keep safe and dry and virus free.
Thanks, you too.
Thanks phil
Hi, I would like to say in opinion, your video is totally incredibly intoxicating, you have definitely captured the ultimate essence of this fantastic narrowboat journey, such spectacular views of the idyllic countryside in all its glory, just watching you cruising along the canal,
In every way it has been amazingly relaxing and stress reliving, you could say most therapeutic, stay safe, tony
Thank you so much 😀 I'm always striving to make these videos better.
Thank you for a lovely trip and such stunning views at the end.

Hi there!! I'm here for seconds..😉. That view is really awesome!..the cruise is wet and wonderful..thanks again..🤗
Super Mac even in the rain. Excuse pun.
Thanks Phil,lovely ride as usual,hope your ok.take care.🌦
Thanks, you too.
Thanks Phil,a piece of sanity in this insane world.
The insanity is getting worse by the day it seems.
Narrowboat Journeys Hi Phil I agree. On the ufo scene do you watch Richard d Hall’s investigations? His recent one explaining the Rendlesham affair is pretty good.He is on rich planet.net and the show is in 4 parts, click past part 0.Lots of other stuff there as well so be warned, you may or may not like it.
Hi Tim, Yes I have seen some of Rich Hall's videos. The cattle mutilation one was a bit scary!
Lovely video
Lovely vlog Phil we really enjoyed it. Stay safe x
Thanks so much, you too. :-)
Thank you so much for making these wonderfully relaxing and informative vids! Especially appreciate the stills intermixed. It would be terrific if you did this same journey in autumnal color! Just discovered you and am thoroughly enjoying the respite from the ruckus.
Thank you. Glad you like them. Welcome aboard! I don't yet know where I will be in the autumn...?
Great vlog, cheers
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Another glorious image and soundscape.
Couldn't count the number of different greens but it was worth the trying.
I imagine that at times it's a balm for the soul to be in this verdant blissful domain.
The photo of The Cloud is a beautiful landscape. A superb natural stronghold.
Should be in your card repertory perhaps.
The walk, or should one say struggle, up the hill would've made a nice mini vlog itself.
Thank you for a portion of calm.
Thank you. I travelled down there in the wind and rain because thunderstorms were forecast. I was hoping to video lightning around the cloud. Sadly though, all the storms missed that area.
@@NarrowboatJourneys I see I'm not the only person that feel you living in a place we envy. Hope your safe, in my part of the States it's slowly getting back to normal what ever that is. Thank you for a another great vid. Saw it this morning but saved it till now. It's 12:12 am here what time is it there???
Only just come across your vlogs . I find them very relaxing not much fuss excellent sound. Going to enjoy looking through your previous videos. Regards john.
Thanks John, Welcome aboard! :-)
I have just watched this with my Bose headphones on...your sound recording quality is really top notch, I almost felt like I was on the boat with you, loved hearing the sounds of the wind and the cows. Thoroughly enjoyable ...thankyou!!
Awesome, thank you! I'm constantly looking for ways to improve the quality. Hopefully a camera upgrade one day...
@@NarrowboatJourneys I absolutely agree your soundscape is lovely, but wasn't it a bull roaring away by one of the bridges?
A lovely video..ta!
There was a bull, and many cows in that field.
Beautiful cruise, Phil, lovely countryside, but you must have been pretty cold & wet by the end of it. Thank you. Cheers, L'liz
Thank you. It wasn't cold that day and I didn't get very wet. ;-)
@@NarrowboatJourneys Pleased to hear it. I keep forgetting ... we're winter and you're summer, lol.
Had never heard of the Bosley Cloud, thought you meant the white fluffy ones but couldn't see any. 😆😂.
Apologies, it was on the map and you did explain about the Cloud early on, must have missed it when I had to rush about with towels trying to rescue yet another poor mouse that my cat had brought in. I did get him or her to safety btw and cat will be on lockdown now just as soon as I can grab her!! Thanks again for a lovely video.
@@sallymander7863 Cats needs mice....Don't lock up your moggy ...pls.
My childhood cat prefered toads and frogs.
Which he would drop alive on to my face as I slept.
Try catching a bouncing toad in the bedroom at 2am..whilst the cat "helps"!
That was beautiful, Phill, thank you. The walk up the Cloud must have been tough, thank you for sharing it. Hope all is well.
Thank you. I walked up there 20 years ago... it was noticeably harder this time! I must be getting old :-(
Good and interesting video
Thanks, glad you liked it.
Thank you for sharing that was interesting and relaxing.
Glad you enjoyed it.
So relaxing watching your videos after a hard days work - well done and thank you
My pleasure 😊
Almost as windy as Colorado!
I agree. Although I heard then saw cows none were flying across the canal
@@m.ketch2282 Them thar cows must still all be in Kansas, with Dorothy that is. I hear it gets windy there.
☁️ Enjoyed the beautiful view from the cloud - thanks for sharing that. Hope when the Bosley locks opened they were staffed for you...there were an awful lot of locks on your map.
Thank you. No, I had to do them all by myself. The volunteers were supposed to help that day but then they were told not to turn up. It was very busy. It's a flight of 12 locks, and no mooring in between.
...laughing, at 15:43....
Lovely trip and very lush greenery all the way. I'm currently reading a book about the guy who lived in the Maine wilderness for 28 years. There are some parallels with your lifestyle and amount of time on the canals, Phil, although you don't go about stealing stuff like he did! :)
Was he the one that lived in the woods for years, and broke into holiday homes to survive?
Yes. Christopher Knight is his name. There's a bit of information online, but the book (The Stranger in the Woods - Michael Finkel) gives the best account of how and why he did it.
I heard about him recently on "Aerial America", Smithsonian channel. At least I think that was where...?
Enjoyed your vlog your getting nearer to us we live in higher hurdsfield very near to macclesfield canal please stay safe you and the cats
Thank you! Will do!
Good Evening Phil, I enjoyed the boat ride, but I thought the cows were ready to join the ride. How long was the bicycle ride to the top? Have a good night from Ray
Thank you. Too steep for me to cycle there, 1 in 4 in places.
How are they ever going to clean up all that overgrowth.
They probably won't bother.
