Old Nikita released a lot of people from the Gulag, rehabilitated people like Tukachevsky, and had the guts to condemn the monster Stalin. I think the last one really did him in.

Imagine being born a very poor peasant in the Russian Empire. Getting your big break as a metal-fitter's apprentice. And then 45 years later youre the leader of the Soviet Union, excited to meet the regular people of another powerful industrialized nation. Absolutely incredible the lives some 20th century people lived.

not to mention he served in WWII as a high-rank officer. In fact I did not know this until saw the movie Enemy at the Gates (2001). Though the movie's plot and main characters is a free interpretarion from the writer, it does show facts from reality, Khruschev being sent to Stalingrad to instruct to the political commisars - which controlled propaganda at local level and were the overseers of the Russian soldiers - not to concede any retreatment. In that movie is represented by Bob Hoskins, an amazing actor.

Claudia Cotner Khrushchev got removed from power cause he lost confidence in the Soviet communist party. The Khrushchev did fantastic job with Cuba missile crisis, he didn’t start world war 3, and he got American missile out turkey.

I think it was Breshnev that gave that order.
Budapest was 1956, and Kruschchev was head of the party. Brezhnev was nothing in 1956. In 1968 Brezhnev sent them into Prague which is Czechoslovakia not Hungary.

At 1:20 or so when the show says he said "the American people like me! It's those bastards around Eisenhower that don't like me." Well, see, that was the CIA and Allen Dulles, similar to the people who worked so hard against Trump because they had some sneaky agenda of their own that did not include the average American and who, like Comey and Strzok, looked down on the average American, no matter what race they are, and just like to laugh up their sleeve and say "the people of Walmart...the ones you can smell...." and elitist attitudes that the people who smoke crack and like to record stuff that they would be better off not keeping on record, like the Hunter...it's all....sad.
