This guy understands polyphony. He knows how to play Bach. The ideal feeling of tempo, nice and well measured dynamic… I want to hear more of his Bach performance.
This tempo is faster than I've heard before...and it takes a few seconds to get used to it...but your fluidity is amazing, and your playing is excellent. Very musical, and flowing like a river... I enjoyed this very much. Thank you for posting this.
Brilliant. I've always found the 2nd lute suite to be the most introspective and difficult. This man's execution is perfect all the voices are so clear.. world class!
Come on, this piece is beautiful by itself with no need of rock, blues or any other style, which are also great, each one in its own domain. Also the interpretation is great, one of the best I have seen, and the video was very well suited. Congratulations Mr. Molano.
woooow omg i got goosebumps when you started playing double. that was so clean, and effortless, and awesome. props to you, hopefully i'll suss this piece out properly in the near future
Wow...this was absolutely masterful. It took me a minute to get used to the tempo. But when it set in...I just marveled at this performance. It is so fluid and effortless, and practically flawless... J.S.Bach would have applauded this. I know I do...
Can we find others videos of this guitar player in you tube? He plays very very well, and that is not an easy piece to play. He has a very sophisticated technique.
@SorSatoshi With Bach, you have to focus on the rests and tempo changes. Like it was explained to me: the silence of Bach is just as important as the sound; this is what makes Bach so expressive!
Bach's technicality stands up today, even against technical death metal, which is arguably harder than most classical composers. I believe Bach stands up as the greatest of all to ever write music, and this man is obviously a virtuoso to be able to play such genius.
i wish my right hand was dextrous enough to play classical as well as this. my left hand is dextrous enough, but not my right one, i can only play well with a pick. :( oh well, practice makes perfect i suppose.
this is an awesome piece, its goin' in my favorites. :) great work.
@Novantii There have only been a few blues artist that used "Pitch Axis Theory": Steve Ray Vaughn was one that used it quite a bit, as was Hendrix. However, this is few, far, and in-between. The one genre that peak my interest from an early age was heavy metal, since it was a natural transition from classical. The relationship between heavy metal and classical is not even realized by a lot of people. Many of Metallica's early songs are more technically challenging than many classical pieces!
With the possible exception of the first 7 seconds, the audio does not come from this street performance. The sound was recorded in a studio. Further, given the absence of a camera in certain shots, where a camera must have been in the immediately previous shot, the street performance required at least two takes.
Wow, how can people just walk by and ignore this? I'm a guitarist as well, and I HAVE to stop and admire this. So beautiful.
