Google has stated this isnt actually burn in but instead some kind of "residual display artificats" that go away in time. I can start at 6AM with 100 percent on day 1 and go to the morning of day 3 at about 15%. The watch has to learn how you use it and you can't run AOD. And tilt to wake is basically AOD if you move a lot.

I have a Garmin Vivoactive 3 that lasts an entire week. It's not new and fancy but does the job. My Tic Watch E last a day. My Motorola 360 2nd edition one day and I can get a little over a day on my LG G Watch after all these years with the new Wear update. I was surprised they all still work so no need for a Pixel Watch right now. I also have a Wyze Watch that last an entire week also. Cool watches though. I would take that TicWatch Pro over the Pixel Watch any day. Coming from a huge Google fan...

I charge mine every morning while I get ready for work. It's at about 20-25% and gets back to 100% before I leave for work. That's with an hour in the gym each day, using AOD and not making any compromises.

@@youlouv1234 RAM speed does play a big part and how much animation the watch can handle. But since this is also running a new application, the pixel watch app and not the Wear OS app the way things are rendered and the way things are processed are different from other Wear OS watches.
I have the 4 and 5 pro can recommend the 5 pro with normal use 4-5 days with awod turned off and lift to wake on. If I use it for GPS on walks it drains but just at the gym it's still a solid 3 days
I love my pixel watch but there's no denying that the battery life sucks ass, it doesn't really bother me too much because I'm not away from home that often but after I record one workout and one run, I have to throw it on the charger

Why compare Tic Watch Pro to Pixel Watch 2? They literally have nothing in common. Pixel Watch 2 is the best of Wear OS 4 but average battery. Tic Watch literally has the worst Wear OS experience, but better battery. You get one or the other for different reasons: Experience or Battery.
The battery can last 36hrs on the pixel watch as long as it's not notification central and you remove the tilt to wake feature. The told gesture is a bit sensitive imo. The watch is fine with the small battery
