    I was too lazy to empty my green the other day and added some black into my converter and the black-green looks so good

    Thanks for this comprehensive view of this beautiful ink.

    This has been my favorite ink for 4 years. It made me a serious fountain pen user immediately. The Russell Crowe movie A Good Year made me want to try it and it is by far one of the most influential purchases I've ever made.

      Is the ink in the movie? I might need to see it. Movies should include more fountain pens. I’d watch them if they did.

      @animula6908 It does show him holding the bottle a few times. Haven't watched it in a while to remember exactly which ink it was but it got the gears turning in my head at the time.

    Oh yeah! I do like the look of this green. Very pretty and I like the water resistance. On my list!

    I appreciate that you give those inks a fair chance as well! I think I should maybe get my bottle of it out and put some of it in to a pen that is running around here somewhere.
    I also have a bottle of “brillant-green” (beside the dark-green). I discovered, after I randomly bought it, that it is somewhat hard to find. I think I had it in a pen once and I think it was pretty decent. :)

    I like the inks in this line. Thank you for reviewing!

    Very nice review, thank you! I like the 4001 series, especially at the price they come for. I do not own the green yet, my go to green in this color range ist Kaweco Palm Green. The 4001 blue black is my favourite fine nib ink for everyday writing right now, worth having a look at! Have a pleasant new year everybody!

      Jan Odewald I’m interested in Kaweco Paradise Blue, but I haven’t had a good chance at picking up a bottle of it, yet. Sunset Orange might be an option for me as well since I don’t have any orange ink yet. How would describe Palm Green? (Is it rather light or dark; and how is it’s shading)
      Blue-Black is also one the favorite inks of “Blue” :) (You probably have seen her comments under George’s/Big G’s Videos :D I also think that it is a nice Blue/Black. I also like Diamine Pelham Blue (currently in my Lamy 2000 Blue Bauhaus with an M nib), because it is much bluer (much more blue/blauer 🤣) and has less grey in it and shades more towards black :) And it also stays blue. Quite interesting I think.

      @@herrkeks8509 good morning! Palm Green ist rather dark with some nice shading, I found it looks best in a broader nib, like medium or even a stub, with a fine nib it looks quite boring.
      Speaking Kaweco: I'll get a Kaweco Supra in F today or tomorrow. So excited! See you at Big G ;-)
      Edit: Pelham looks interesting, more to the blue side of blue/black!

      Jan Odewald Sounds like I should maybe give it a try when I stumble across a bottle :)
      I love the Supra! Great pen :D I personally have two of them. And I talked my mother into one as well, she loves it as well. I commented under a few videos with Kaweco involved that I need an oversized Titanium Supra :D 2 mm thicker or more (especially the grip section), 5 mm longer Grip section, bigger nib (Bock No. 8 Titanium nib would be awesome) if possible and made out of Titanium. That would be awesome :D But the Supra made from other materials like the liliput would be great. :D
      I might get a pen today as well :D One is the Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age with a 1,3 mm stub, _hopefully_ in 23kt Palladium not 18kt Gold. I want a Palladium nib before they are gone. And I might get a Kaweco V11 with an OB nib. It is a vintage Kaweco... Can’t wait 🤣
      The entire Guitar Ink collection from Diamine is worth a look :) And you can imagine that George as a Guitarist made a video about this series ;) One on his Guitar Channel and one on his Fountain Pen Channel. He recommends the Video on the Fountain Pen Channel :) I have Diamine Honey Burst and Diamine Cherry Sunburst from this series as well and I like them a lot :)

    Thanks to you I'm going to buy this green (i'm also very picky) and the purple :)

    I like and want this green. This review convinced me of that. And also the attractive turquoise of this 4001 series. I found the the black and blue-black to be very disappointing and gave them away recently.

    This is definitely one of my favourite greens but Montblanc Irish Green takes the top spot!:)

    • @animula6908
      @animula6908 Год назад

      Irish green is pretty, but always looks dry in swatches. Do you find it dry?

    • @anguswhite8233
      @anguswhite8233 Год назад +1

      @@animula6908 tend to prefer inks which are less wet - if you prefer inks to be wet, try J Herbin lièrre sauvage and Kaweco palm green, also Monteverde inks contain itf which makes them flow well:)

      If I can find a way to do that and keep the videos around the 6 minute mark, I definitely will. That is the hardest part. I don't want to have reviews that drag on.

    I have almost all colours from this line. Only gotta wait for blue black. Dark green is my most favorite colour. I actually prefer this one over Irish green from MB.
    good job reviewing them.❤

      It’s a track I found over at Epidemic Sound so I could have good music without fear or a copyright strike.

    I need a really dey fast drying ink.. any recommendations? I have a broad parker that could do with ink that dries the moment it leaves the pen.

      Quick dry like that...I know that Robert Oster makes a few that dry quick, but I'd have to find my sample notebook to get the names...the joys of moving.
