He is in what I like to call “Hobbit Hole” tier. He isn’t the most powerful or even the most necessary character, but when I use him I’m guaranteed comfort. And comfort is a luxury that you sometimes cannot do without some days!
he's easily the most comfortable healer in the game. he was my first five star and hes my goat and is still my goat. i love my BBB (beautiful boy baizhu)
Baizhu is such a comfort pick, that I personally don't recommend you go for him UNTIL you have all the meta/favorite characters YOU want. Baizhu will be an amazing addition to your team that he's the best non meta character you will ever pull I mainly use him for the afk team: nahida, yae, and furina If you don't wanna use nahida with him, he's amazing with hu tao, Emilie, and furina Don't wanna use him in burning? You can use furina, faruzan, and wanderer You don't wanna have a flying emo boy who hits hard WITH comfort? You can also use him with furina, Wriothesley, and shenhe (if you don't have kokomi/sigewinne) You don't wanna use him with furina? Use triple dendro and electro He's so worth AFTER you get meta/favorite characters. He isn't a must pull, but he is a must pull AFTER your teams are all ready for an upgrade (sorry if that doesn't make sense lol)
This is EXACTLY what I realized too. Healers are basically comfort pick, but Baizhu takes it one step further (he's the only off-field team healer without any AoE to stay in). Pair him with Furina, and any other two you pick as core will be golden. My main team is like yours, but with Raiden instead of Yae for main DPS AND battery, and they solve 99% of my problems.
I have C2 Baizhu and not regret him 😂😂 Soon I'll try Mavuika with him and Furina. No Natlan chars? Let's just settle with all I got and I will pull Mavuika on C2 anyway with 50k Primos and rate on (the Natlan fuel is only C0 problem, she still deal more damage whatever her FS than 200 FS C0)
I actually got him as one of my fist limited 5 stars and while I will admit it took a bit for me to get decent damage, the fact that he allowed me to survive the World Level spikes and several story battles was invaluable when leveling up. Plus the heal dopamine when gathering plants really saved me some time in the long run!
YES HE IS WORTH THE PRIMOS!!! I am a baizhu haver and he has never left my team since I got him, he's a great healer and character in general I have c1 atm (which gives him a second skill use) and I'm going for c2 in 5.3 If you don't have baizhu, I heavily recommend him 💖 Edit - a fun way I use baizhu is with the ocean hue clam set, which basically makes healing dmg I can get almost 100k physical dmg every time one of those ocean bubbles pop It's fun :P
I got Baizhu on my alt in 4.2 over c1 Furina, and haven’t run a single abyss cycle without him ever since. I don’t regret him even a little, in fact I think pulling him is one of the best choices I’ve made on that account. He saved my Neuvilette team, He saved my Mualani. He saved Nilou. He saved every single team I use with Furina. The comfort of using him on any team you can think of really can’t be overstated. So yeah, no regrets whatsoever. My only problem is that I only have one of him to go around and one of my abyss teams will always have to suffer without him.
@@dangamez1230 i have his signature weapon at r2 cuz I lost on the weapon banner TWICE lol, but ngl. His weapon is so underated! Only Baizhu, Kokomi, and Neuvillete are the ones who benefit from it so it makes sense why his weapon isn't desired. I highly recommend it since it's a QoL weapon to your team tbh
@@Enrobdoolbas far as I can calculate it's provide 9 energy to nevulettle and kokomi because they can't generate shield, and 12 percent DMG bonus in total, imo this weopen is absolute trash prototype Amber provide 18 energy and can heal your party also the hp difference is only 8 percent more in that weopen Literally that weopen sucks Statics and passive wise, btw if you don't know then there is new weopen name waveriding whirl, at r5 it can provide upto 88 percent hp if double hydro( 61 er in sub stat) which you probably run with nevulettle, and kokomi can also use of it since she need some er as well, which is far better than baizhu weopen
@@DeepakChauhan-yw9kl Yeah I agree that its trash for kokomi and neuvillete, it is not an offensive weapon at all and it's energy recharge needs a shield, next to arlechino it's probably the next most restrictive signature weapon. That said as someone who also got the r2 by losing my 50/50 its definitely a huge improvement for baizhu that burst is always up. id probably never say to try to pull for it though.
Baizhu's healing properties: - Team healing - BOTH Skill & Burst - Off field - Continous (not a single burst/short period of healing) - No field of effect (meaning it'll follow you whereever you go) AFAIK he's the only one who does ALL of those.
Really a shame he's on CW. Just can't justify pulling on that banner right now unless I get super lucky on the main banners(and even then...). Between Citlali & Arlecchino, the potential of getting QiQi'd on CW anyway, and the banner not contributing towards Capturing Radiance in the event of a loss...the entry cost to pull for him is just way too high. I would love a teamwide healer that isn't Jean, but Cloud Retainer is long overdue anyway so I might just have to wait for her.
I got baizhu with nearly a few hours left on his banner ( I was heartbroken thinking I wouldn't get him ) and now a year into my genshin journey I'm still a baizhu main . Iv tried to use other teams as well (without baizhu)but it just feels to weird not having him on my team so I quickly put him back on 🤣 he and neuvillette where my best team members but now I mostly use baizhu but use him with other charcters as neuvillette just one shots everything. I also don't care about meta personally. I love baizhu just because his character. I wish baizhu got some event appreances to . Hopefully one day.
I accidentally got him while pulling for a 4-star (not something I should have been doing, I know). I decided to build and use him in my Keqing aggravate team when I got her while losing another 50-50. Honestly, I love him so much, he frees up my other shielders and healers for other teams, and his healing is so good! I also love how I can get healed just by picking up plants/fruits when I have him on my team. Not a necessary or meta character, but I really don't regret having him.
I’m in the same boat. I got him early pity while desperately pulling for Charlottes, but then I discovered that he works really, REALLY well with my Neuvillette and Furina team. He’s my second most comfortable healer after Sigewinne, and that’s just bc I haven’t finished building him I would probably never have pulled him intentionally, but I’m glad I have him
The best healer in my opinion. I have his C1 and it is really difficult to kill my characters. My Clorinde and Raiden dps love him too. If i get his C2, my teams will be immortal
If you're a Yae Main (like me) consider pulling Baizhu because he's so much comfy for her: Healing, Shields and Buffing woth his A4 passive and Noblesse/Song of Days past, my fave team is Yae Baizhu Furina Nahida and it's soo comfy and it clears really fast for the investment (wich is really low, if you want you can replace Nahida with Fischl but mine is C0 so my Nahida just does more dmg)
Trust me when i say this, when i got Baizhu by mistake coz i got him early, I totally regretted getting him but eventually when i pulled for furina and started using him, he became one of the most used unit of mine, he is very flexible and comfy especially due to massive teamwide healing with his skill only, of course we all hate when we are low on health during exploration and have to return to statue of seven for full heal (not to mention that its a lot of time consumption when you use a single target healer and just wait standing idle for everyone to get their full health back🙄), this is the most relatable case in teams having furina which are on half hp all the time. Baizhu just solves everything, i am so glad i have him❤
I remember when i first saw him way back before and was the very first character that represents dendro, i got really excited because 1. He is a doctor that means he's a healer straight up, 2. he's dendro and i love color green. So when his banner came i pulled for him not minding all the negatives of his pre-release, then first Furina banner came and also his first rerun, i was pulling for Furina signature weapon but ended up having 2 of his weapon. Now i would say having him at C0R2, he is the BEST Furina healer in every comps that i have and he's like the twin brother of Furina for me. And also i can switch him as the main onfielder on my team.

Some things I think were overlooked: Him AND Nahida together is the best double Dendro core. This means that he is the best healer for pure quicken. With double Dendro and Electro resonance, he hardly needs energy (mine sits at +30%). I used to use Raiden Yae Nahida Kazuha but I had to put Prototype Amber on Nahida, gimping her damage just to survive. Swapping Kazuha for Baizhu is going to have much better performance, and on that team he needs no ER so you can build full damage. 7:01 is just incorrect. His damage boosting passive is equivalent to an EM buff. The strength varies but in general on a Dendro team you’re going to already have EM on your units, making his buff equivalent to or better than Nahida’s. They also both only affect the on-field character. His application “issue” matters way more in quickbloom than pure quicken. Pure quicken is where he shines strongly and is often best in slot.
I got Baizhu on his first banner, and I am so glad I did. I know it's not optimal, but he gets the most use in my Wriothesley burn/melt team along with Dehya and Kazuha. His Dendro application isn't fast, but neither is Dehya's pyro application, which works out quite fine. A Wrio punch, allows Kaz to swirl cryo, which can then be melted by Dehya's E, and set to burning with Baizhu E&Q, before Wrio gets going and reverse melts everything while keeping his health up, and thanks to TTDS, adding to his pummeling. But I also use Baizhu in my NeuviFurina team to keep her team drain under control. I've had a lot of success with Ororon in the team, to trigger any bloom cores that form, but also add in plenty of Electrocharge (and the Cinder City bonuses)
Baizhu was my luckiest pull so far, I got him twice in my second 10-pull for him and the c1 giving an extra use of his e is very comfortable since I can just double tap e to fully heal my team, even those with high hp. Definitely recommend getting him :)
my take on this guy: the single biggest regret i had at the time of me pulling him on furina's first banner. i could have had c3 from the get go but instead i went for this dude and stayed c2. i felt he was just soulth of useless with a completely useless shield, extreme energy hunger that couldn't be fulfilled ever and overwall just awful. but, over time, i gave up trying to make him have EM on his build. He's not a bloom character. putting a lot of ER on him, all-out ER, made him flow a lot better. he has consistent and reliable dendro application for hyperbloom, aggravate and burgeon, and that what he is meant for. my opinion did a 180 and now i think he is either the best or second best dendro unit and i prefer him to nahida because nahida is garbage at multi-wave content. and i ended up getting c3 furina anyway on her first rerun so it all worked out. so... if you at all use or want to use those reactions, i recoomend him. specially because he works great with furina
If you're a whale, Baizhu is AMAZING comfy. C2 makes it so every 5 seconds when your active character attacks, Baizhu will release his E ability at 250% damage but only 1 damage tick instead of three, and it heals for 20% of it's normal healing amount. It does it automatically without costing anything. His C6 makes it so not only do you get his shield from every time you use his burst, but you also get the shield every time you use his E ability and when his C2 triggers on each 5 second cool down. If you are a whale and stack him for pure healing, he becomes basically an auto 5 second shield, team wide heal, and dendro application just by doing nothing more than existing. If you get C2, run Song of Days Past on him to give more healing and constant bonus damage to your team, or run Deepwood for single target fights for a permanent automatic 30% dendro res shred. Ocean Hued doesn't record for long enough to pick up any healing if you rely on only C2's auto proc, so only use Ocean Hued if you plan to active rotation him. If you get C6, use Millelith set since it makes him a 60% uptime team wide automatically applying Bennett circle at 1/3 potency with the added bonus of creating a shield. All for the mere cost of Baizhu just existing in the team.
he is a comfort character, making the game more easier BUT, with Zhongli on banner and the best banners in genshin history coming soon, he's more than skipable
You're so right about kuki... I invested in her a *ton* for hyperbloom but I hated her play style SO MUCH I ditched her for Raiden the second I got neuvilette to dps for my second team 😂 and like sure, yaoyao exists, but I love Baizhu so much in terms of everything (design, lore, personality, gameplay)
I absolutely will NOT pull for him. Because I already have him at C2 and he's perfect. I love Baizhu, he makes this game so comfy cozy! Nobody can heal like him, especially at C2. My man heals me even when he's off field. I only bring him on field when I need major healing. Well worth the investment if you need comfort like me. If you just want to cruise through and always have full HP, pull Baizhu. He's the backbone of my workhorse dailies aggravate team. C2 Baizhu with C2 Nahida, C6 Fischl, and C6 Keqing. I don't care if it's not optimal, I don't use them in the Abyss (often). It's all about that comfort. Tag with Nahida, drop Oz, burst then skill with Keqing and nothing normally survives that. Even bosses get folded up like an old wallet. Then, if I got hit hard, I can have Baizhu pop out, drop two snakes, and everyone is full HP in a second. It's perfect for when I'm sleepy (I do dailies when I wake up) or just want a quick simple win. And Changseng is SO cute!!
Oh and until Xilonen came out, he was the healer for my Furina/Neuvillette team, the Power Washers. I still switch him in if Xilonen is better on the other side of the Abyss.
I only recently built Furina, and I’m most of the way to finishing Nahida and Tignhari. I finally see the value of Baizhu . I probably will not go out of my way to pull him, but I will consider it.
Once I seen his Character Trailer, that "Remember; Health Comes First" on the Beat Drop is why I pulled for him. I love a Calm Badass like him. I already have him, but if you want him, I highly recommend him Cons before his Weapon. His BiS is great, but sometime you will be in short if you just get him and his weapon. C1 makes him Burst every rotation and keeps your Unit Healthy if you just don't like his Steep Energy for a Solo Dendro and use him for just healing. His Shield and Burst Duration doesn't last that long, but his Buff every Shield Break is a God Send for Buffing Dendro-Related Reaction. But if you are incredibly Unlucky, Sac Frag is a great alternative and helps Baizhu if you have good Substats on his Artifacts Get him, for anybody who benefits Dendro reactions. If not, that is fine. But he is a Great Alternative if you Yao Yao isn't up to snuff with you or Nahida if she is busy with something else if you play Abyss.
I already got him as an early pull during Furina's debut. I probably should have pulled for Furina cons instead, given how powerful they are, but Baizhu honestly has saved my bacon a number of times that I wouldn't go back and change it if I could. And it helps that farming for Deepwood is easy considering how many characters want Deepwood/Gilded.
I pulled baizhu and let me tell you what i use him with: neuvillet, cyno, kinich, furina burgen, bloom teams, ayato. i am so glad that I pulled for this character and i see him as the best choice you could take in the upcoming banner ( Except for the new characters and arly). So yeah very worth pull.
I really like Baizhu, but getting him just has never really worked out, sadly I am going for both Citlali and Arlecchino this time around but hopefully next time I can grab him. Here's hoping we will see him before another Liyue Chronicle
I love Baizhu for both his gameplay and lore. On his 1st banner I had 270 wishes (+60 I farmed during his banner). I got very unluckt and got a Qiqi, Mona and C1 Baizhu. Still he was already SO good. After I got Furina in 4.2 I wished on his banner for Charlotte cons and I got his C2 on 2 pity. Best constellation EVER. Now to drain all teams hp without even swapping to Baizhu she needs 2-3 rotations. He makes Abyss extremly easy nit to mention fun on-field teams of his (My fav is Baizhu-Xingqiu-Fischl-EM Thoma. Does big dmg too). I used him a lot and I believe hes one of the best chatacters in the game, I used him in every single Abyss since 3.6 where he released
I plan to C2 my baizhu (currently C1), though I'd rather wait for his banner; the QoL he offers is account-changing, I love yaoyao but it's a nightmare when yuegui is freezable in the abyss TT He also heals during exploration if you pick up plants, even underwater. One of my favs to use against local legends and the comfiest healer imo

I wanna pull for him, but man.. Furina potentially being in 5.4 and Chlorinde being in 5.3 is enough of a deterrent for me to just wait for his next rerun (IF HE EVEN GETS ONE NEXT TIME)
I'm using him with Collei (C2 or higher) and Xingqui in Nilou teams for my Nahidaless account. Single Dendro never worked for me anyway. Only Nahida can supply enough to make that work but she just gets killed too easily as an onfielder so not gonna do that. The team really wants the extra EM from the Dendro resonance too as it's the only way to boost everyone's EM and the reaction scales on it yet the characters on the team other than Nahida generally don't build any because they don't need it for other teams. Funny but Baizhu is honestly a lot better unit than Nahida as long as your priority is versatility, comfort and convenience. Nahida can't even handle multiwave, has no HP, and her camera skill is really inconvenient to use (and while she does so, all the enemies will be attacking her and did I mention she has no HP to tank those hits?) and then there is the most horrible part, Nahida wants extremely hard to get artifacts (EM double crit cup, anyone?) while Baizhu just works fine with any HP/HB Clam set pieces as long as you have some ER on them.
Love Baizhu but he’s really a comfort character and A LOT of his kit gets just supercharged by constellations and his signature weapon. C2 is quite different because it’s Dendro auto attack and heals, C4 is a party EM buff and C6 is pretty much infinite shields and heals which is super broken with his weapon that buffs Dendro elemental damage and restores his energy. He’s a weird character that goes from good to kinda broken with more investments, definitely not the most F2P friendly character.
Not sure if F2P friendly is correct term. For those who played since day 1 or maybe 2.0 you can get C3 or C6 for your favorite chars using all reruns, even for Yelan that debuted on 2.7. If I starts play on 2.7 my Yelan should be C4 now. It's harder for newer player since 4.0 as they still need to catch-up if they only fill meta chars. Then a lot of players for some reason are just C0 lovers (horizontal investment) so even for meta Archons like Furina/Nahida they missed 50% potential by missing their C2. It's same reason why people think Mavuika sucks due to her C0 locked her to have Natlan fuel for her burst.
@@veeshadow Well the problem is a lot of characters have very long pauses between reruns mostly due to popularity or getting powercrept by new characters with better toolkits. So spending a lot of resources on a single character doesn’t necessarily make sense to someone with limited resources to begin with. Constellations and a weapon (which technically also requires refinements to shine and is pretty much useless on any other character in this case, plus Baizhu is very replaceable at C0) are not exactly the best option for a F2P. This gets compounded by the fact that Baizhu has been run alongside Wanderer, Furina and Ganyu, who have much higher damage potential. So yeah to most F2P players, especially those that haven’t been around for literally 2-3 years, it’s not a priority to get. My account is day 1 but I didn’t spend the last 4 years constantly playing (I do have a life xD). Getting primogems and wishes is time consuming and not everyone has the time to spends hours on exploration or events to have enough to spend on these reruns. Plus, it’s gacha so whether you get what you want or C100 Qiqi is up to whatever algorithm runs the wishes. TLDR: Healing unit that requires multiple constellations and an extremely niche weapon (Prototype Amber just buffs the healing and gives energy, it doesn’t add utility and to get a better effect you’ll again need refinements which require billets) to gain most of its utility is not F2P friendly. Yaoyao is a better option for a dendro healer for a F2P by pure accessibility.
@@4.1132 Again you mention misconception for F2P-friendly term. Someone can get C2 units, Billet for R5 weapons, 100% exploration as F2P. Having a life and not 100%-ing exploration is different term than F2P or not. You can be a whale but only login for Welkin so that you miss out farmable Primogems for more pulls.

Of course you can get multiple constellations over time (that’s not up for discussion, by that metric literally any character would be considered F2P friendly), however the use someone will get out of multiple constellations for this specific character (for Baizhu specifically not Yelan or any other character) is not very high, because there are better alternatives that require less resources and the opportunity costs of pulling him compared to any of the characters he’s been on banner with is lower. Because no matter how much exploration you do at some point there will be a cap on the freely available primogems (iirc it’s like 15-17k per patch, which is like 100 pulls without Welkin or BP), so pulling for a comfort character probably makes less sense than pulling for a nuke or a buffer unless you already have them. Effectively you get more bang for your buck (or in this case free primos). F2P „friendly“ doesn’t mean it’s impossible to do, it simply means it is not the most effective use of time or resources.
I accidentally got Baizhu while trying to build pity, while at a mere pity 30s, beating 50/50. Then got Ganyu the same day, same pity luck. So got two hard-to-say units, and can easily skip them in the upcoming future.
Honestly I'm using him as a driver in my hyperbloom team with nahida. He replaced my yaoyao, he serves ,in the nicest way i can put it, as a dmg absorber. Or in a not nice way a meat shield.
If I already have a C1R1 Neuvillette, is Baizhu worth getting for a Furina/Kazuha team or would it be better to use someone else? I'm planning to use Xilonen for Mavuika, so Xilonen won't be on Neuvillette's premier team anymore.
Omg finally someone else said it. I hate playing Kuki. She's permanently at like zero health so if I refresh her skill at a bad time she dies and poof, time to restart the entire run. I can't wait to use Baizhu and not need her anymore and use Raiden instead 🤷

As a recent Nuevilette owner, I have been wondering if pulling for Baizhu is a good choice, I’m mostly f2p (Welkin and BP sometimes) and am at Inazuma story wise so you could call me sort of new? I have been considering him for my current Neuvillette, Raiden and Kazuha setup as dendro paired with Hydro could do some funny things, plus my Nuevilette is c0 so his shield would work wonders, is this a viable team?
What I was thinking about too. I have Alhaitham and I'm thinking of using him with Nilou to have superbloom along with Yelan since imo Nilou's Hydro application is not enough.. As of now Yaoyao is the only dendro healer I have and in order for her to heal she needs to be onfield while Baizhu takes care of that problem. If I somehow lost to Baizhu in the chronicled wish banner I guess it's a quality improvement
Cant pull him on this banner its a trap! Keqing and Qiqi gonna jumpscare you. I would consider him if there was Yelan on the banner. But no with the units that you could lose to i would rather not risk it. Also Arle and Clorinde coming makes him not a high priority.
Ah yes, Baizhu One of only two limited 5*s I ever got by accident The difference is that I would trade Ayato for 20 primogems and Baizhu is the happy accident that's holding several of my teams together

They tried making him a mix of Yao Yao and Kirara but Yao Yao burst healing is better and Kiraras shield is better. His shield should have been made tanky and his burst cost should have been lower
Yup but as a driver, he still more comfortable to play then yaoyao. Yaoyao being short and a melee unit means she needs to expend more stamina to run to newer enemies
@@fafnirable1 My Aggravate team is RaidenC3-YaeC6-NahidaC3-XilonenC0R1. I used to have Yaoyao or Kuki or even Kokomi for Hyperblooms but Xilonen works better
@Marc-w1f5x I kinda prefer Baizhu instead of Nahida for aggravate since he works better with multi wave content, but I love using Nahida for bloom based teams since I switch more often. Baizhu's shield also helps when I use Tighnari, but I would prefer using Nahida and Kuki for Alhaitham. I love using Xilonen with Emily burning teams with Lyney or Arlecchino because those 2 are doing most of the damage and Emily could use noblesse for the extra attack boost. Xilonen is slightly weaker on Dendro based teams since she doesn't work with Dendro, but she does help the other elements
Also: if given Ocean-Hued Clam, all his healing is turned into offensive capabilities. It converts 90% of all total HP recovered (from every single person healed in a team) into a massive non-elemental burst of damage.
Crying baby: but nahida Me in contradiction: the new enemies is hitting as harder and sucking energy like myasmic enemy, hope you can kill them faster as you could before!

Baizhu is such a comfort pick, that I personally don't recommend you go for him UNTIL you have all the meta/favorite characters YOU want. Baizhu will be an amazing addition to your team that he's the best non meta character you will ever pull
I mainly use him for the afk team: nahida, yae, and furina
If you don't wanna use nahida with him, he's amazing with hu tao, Emilie, and furina
Don't wanna use him in burning? You can use furina, faruzan, and wanderer
You don't wanna have a flying emo boy who hits hard WITH comfort? You can also use him with furina, Wriothesley, and shenhe (if you don't have kokomi/sigewinne)
You don't wanna use him with furina? Use triple dendro and electro
He's so worth AFTER you get meta/favorite characters. He isn't a must pull, but he is a must pull AFTER your teams are all ready for an upgrade (sorry if that doesn't make sense lol)
This is EXACTLY what I realized too. Healers are basically comfort pick, but Baizhu takes it one step further (he's the only off-field team healer without any AoE to stay in). Pair him with Furina, and any other two you pick as core will be golden.
My main team is like yours, but with Raiden instead of Yae for main DPS AND battery, and they solve 99% of my problems.
I have C2 Baizhu and not regret him 😂😂 Soon I'll try Mavuika with him and Furina. No Natlan chars? Let's just settle with all I got and I will pull Mavuika on C2 anyway with 50k Primos and rate on (the Natlan fuel is only C0 problem, she still deal more damage whatever her FS than 200 FS C0)
I actually got him as one of my fist limited 5 stars and while I will admit it took a bit for me to get decent damage, the fact that he allowed me to survive the World Level spikes and several story battles was invaluable when leveling up. Plus the heal dopamine when gathering plants really saved me some time in the long run!

Edit - a fun way I use baizhu is with the ocean hue clam set, which basically makes healing dmg I can get almost 100k physical dmg every time one of those ocean bubbles pop

I got Baizhu on my alt in 4.2 over c1 Furina, and haven’t run a single abyss cycle without him ever since. I don’t regret him even a little, in fact I think pulling him is one of the best choices I’ve made on that account.
He saved my Neuvilette team, He saved my Mualani. He saved Nilou. He saved every single team I use with Furina. The comfort of using him on any team you can think of really can’t be overstated.
So yeah, no regrets whatsoever. My only problem is that I only have one of him to go around and one of my abyss teams will always have to suffer without him.

Only Baizhu, Kokomi, and Neuvillete are the ones who benefit from it so it makes sense why his weapon isn't desired. I highly recommend it since it's a QoL weapon to your team tbh

Literally that weopen sucks Statics and passive wise, btw if you don't know then there is new weopen name waveriding whirl, at r5 it can provide upto 88 percent hp if double hydro( 61 er in sub stat) which you probably run with nevulettle, and kokomi can also use of it since she need some er as well, which is far better than baizhu weopen
@@DeepakChauhan-yw9kl Yeah I agree that its trash for kokomi and neuvillete, it is not an offensive weapon at all and it's energy recharge needs a shield, next to arlechino it's probably the next most restrictive signature weapon.
That said as someone who also got the r2 by losing my 50/50 its definitely a huge improvement for baizhu that burst is always up. id probably never say to try to pull for it though.
Baizhu's healing properties:
- Team healing
- BOTH Skill & Burst
- Off field
- Continous (not a single burst/short period of healing)
- No field of effect (meaning it'll follow you whereever you go)
AFAIK he's the only one who does ALL of those.
Really a shame he's on CW. Just can't justify pulling on that banner right now unless I get super lucky on the main banners(and even then...). Between Citlali & Arlecchino, the potential of getting QiQi'd on CW anyway, and the banner not contributing towards Capturing Radiance in the event of a loss...the entry cost to pull for him is just way too high. I would love a teamwide healer that isn't Jean, but Cloud Retainer is long overdue anyway so I might just have to wait for her.
I got baizhu with nearly a few hours left on his banner ( I was heartbroken thinking I wouldn't get him ) and now a year into my genshin journey I'm still a baizhu main . Iv tried to use other teams as well (without baizhu)but it just feels to weird not having him on my team so I quickly put him back on 🤣 he and neuvillette where my best team members but now I mostly use baizhu but use him with other charcters as neuvillette just one shots everything. I also don't care about meta personally. I love baizhu just because his character. I wish baizhu got some event appreances to . Hopefully one day.
I accidentally got him while pulling for a 4-star (not something I should have been doing, I know). I decided to build and use him in my Keqing aggravate team when I got her while losing another 50-50. Honestly, I love him so much, he frees up my other shielders and healers for other teams, and his healing is so good! I also love how I can get healed just by picking up plants/fruits when I have him on my team. Not a necessary or meta character, but I really don't regret having him.
I’m in the same boat. I got him early pity while desperately pulling for Charlottes, but then I discovered that he works really, REALLY well with my Neuvillette and Furina team. He’s my second most comfortable healer after Sigewinne, and that’s just bc I haven’t finished building him

The best healer in my opinion. I have his C1 and it is really difficult to kill my characters. My Clorinde and Raiden dps love him too. If i get his C2, my teams will be immortal
If you're a Yae Main (like me) consider pulling Baizhu because he's so much comfy for her: Healing, Shields and Buffing woth his A4 passive and Noblesse/Song of Days past, my fave team is Yae Baizhu Furina Nahida and it's soo comfy and it clears really fast for the investment (wich is really low, if you want you can replace Nahida with Fischl but mine is C0 so my Nahida just does more dmg)
Trust me when i say this, when i got Baizhu by mistake coz i got him early, I totally regretted getting him but eventually when i pulled for furina and started using him, he became one of the most used unit of mine, he is very flexible and comfy especially due to massive teamwide healing with his skill only, of course we all hate when we are low on health during exploration and have to return to statue of seven for full heal (not to mention that its a lot of time consumption when you use a single target healer and just wait standing idle for everyone to get their full health back🙄), this is the most relatable case in teams having furina which are on half hp all the time. Baizhu just solves everything, i am so glad i have him❤
I remember when i first saw him way back before and was the very first character that represents dendro, i got really excited because 1. He is a doctor that means he's a healer straight up, 2. he's dendro and i love color green. So when his banner came i pulled for him not minding all the negatives of his pre-release, then first Furina banner came and also his first rerun, i was pulling for Furina signature weapon but ended up having 2 of his weapon. Now i would say having him at C0R2, he is the BEST Furina healer in every comps that i have and he's like the twin brother of Furina for me. And also i can switch him as the main onfielder on my team.

Some things I think were overlooked:
Him AND Nahida together is the best double Dendro core. This means that he is the best healer for pure quicken. With double Dendro and Electro resonance, he hardly needs energy (mine sits at +30%).
I used to use Raiden Yae Nahida Kazuha but I had to put Prototype Amber on Nahida, gimping her damage just to survive. Swapping Kazuha for Baizhu is going to have much better performance, and on that team he needs no ER so you can build full damage.
7:01 is just incorrect. His damage boosting passive is equivalent to an EM buff. The strength varies but in general on a Dendro team you’re going to already have EM on your units, making his buff equivalent to or better than Nahida’s. They also both only affect the on-field character.
His application “issue” matters way more in quickbloom than pure quicken. Pure quicken is where he shines strongly and is often best in slot.
I got Baizhu on his first banner, and I am so glad I did.
I know it's not optimal, but he gets the most use in my Wriothesley burn/melt team along with Dehya and Kazuha.
His Dendro application isn't fast, but neither is Dehya's pyro application, which works out quite fine. A Wrio punch, allows Kaz to swirl cryo, which can then be melted by Dehya's E, and set to burning with Baizhu E&Q, before Wrio gets going and reverse melts everything while keeping his health up, and thanks to TTDS, adding to his pummeling.
But I also use Baizhu in my NeuviFurina team to keep her team drain under control. I've had a lot of success with Ororon in the team, to trigger any bloom cores that form, but also add in plenty of Electrocharge (and the Cinder City bonuses)
I have him C1 with no regrets. He's such a nice comfy healer in general and I love putting him with Furina.
Baizhu was my luckiest pull so far, I got him twice in my second 10-pull for him and the c1 giving an extra use of his e is very comfortable since I can just double tap e to fully heal my team, even those with high hp. Definitely recommend getting him :)
At c2 his dendro application is actually pretty good!
Pulled Baizhu by accident and liked his character so much I went for c2. He’s always on my team
my take on this guy: the single biggest regret i had at the time of me pulling him on furina's first banner. i could have had c3 from the get go but instead i went for this dude and stayed c2. i felt he was just soulth of useless with a completely useless shield, extreme energy hunger that couldn't be fulfilled ever and overwall just awful. but, over time, i gave up trying to make him have EM on his build. He's not a bloom character. putting a lot of ER on him, all-out ER, made him flow a lot better. he has consistent and reliable dendro application for hyperbloom, aggravate and burgeon, and that what he is meant for.
my opinion did a 180 and now i think he is either the best or second best dendro unit and i prefer him to nahida because nahida is garbage at multi-wave content. and i ended up getting c3 furina anyway on her first rerun so it all worked out. so... if you at all use or want to use those reactions, i recoomend him. specially because he works great with furina
If you're a whale, Baizhu is AMAZING comfy. C2 makes it so every 5 seconds when your active character attacks, Baizhu will release his E ability at 250% damage but only 1 damage tick instead of three, and it heals for 20% of it's normal healing amount. It does it automatically without costing anything. His C6 makes it so not only do you get his shield from every time you use his burst, but you also get the shield every time you use his E ability and when his C2 triggers on each 5 second cool down. If you are a whale and stack him for pure healing, he becomes basically an auto 5 second shield, team wide heal, and dendro application just by doing nothing more than existing.
If you get C2, run Song of Days Past on him to give more healing and constant bonus damage to your team, or run Deepwood for single target fights for a permanent automatic 30% dendro res shred. Ocean Hued doesn't record for long enough to pick up any healing if you rely on only C2's auto proc, so only use Ocean Hued if you plan to active rotation him.
If you get C6, use Millelith set since it makes him a 60% uptime team wide automatically applying Bennett circle at 1/3 potency with the added bonus of creating a shield. All for the mere cost of Baizhu just existing in the team.
he is a comfort character, making the game more easier BUT, with Zhongli on banner and the best banners in genshin history coming soon, he's more than skipable

I invested in her a *ton* for hyperbloom but I hated her play style SO MUCH I ditched her for Raiden the second I got neuvilette to dps for my second team 😂 and like sure, yaoyao exists, but I love Baizhu so much in terms of everything (design, lore, personality, gameplay)
I absolutely will NOT pull for him. Because I already have him at C2 and he's perfect. I love Baizhu, he makes this game so comfy cozy! Nobody can heal like him, especially at C2. My man heals me even when he's off field. I only bring him on field when I need major healing. Well worth the investment if you need comfort like me. If you just want to cruise through and always have full HP, pull Baizhu.
He's the backbone of my workhorse dailies aggravate team. C2 Baizhu with C2 Nahida, C6 Fischl, and C6 Keqing. I don't care if it's not optimal, I don't use them in the Abyss (often). It's all about that comfort. Tag with Nahida, drop Oz, burst then skill with Keqing and nothing normally survives that. Even bosses get folded up like an old wallet. Then, if I got hit hard, I can have Baizhu pop out, drop two snakes, and everyone is full HP in a second. It's perfect for when I'm sleepy (I do dailies when I wake up) or just want a quick simple win.
And Changseng is SO cute!!
Oh and until Xilonen came out, he was the healer for my Furina/Neuvillette team, the Power Washers. I still switch him in if Xilonen is better on the other side of the Abyss.
I only recently built Furina, and I’m most of the way to finishing Nahida and Tignhari. I finally see the value of Baizhu . I probably will not go out of my way to pull him, but I will consider it.
Once I seen his Character Trailer, that "Remember; Health Comes First" on the Beat Drop is why I pulled for him. I love a Calm Badass like him. I already have him, but if you want him, I highly recommend him Cons before his Weapon. His BiS is great, but sometime you will be in short if you just get him and his weapon.
C1 makes him Burst every rotation and keeps your Unit Healthy if you just don't like his Steep Energy for a Solo Dendro and use him for just healing. His Shield and Burst Duration doesn't last that long, but his Buff every Shield Break is a God Send for Buffing Dendro-Related Reaction.
But if you are incredibly Unlucky, Sac Frag is a great alternative and helps Baizhu if you have good Substats on his Artifacts
Get him, for anybody who benefits Dendro reactions. If not, that is fine. But he is a Great Alternative if you Yao Yao isn't up to snuff with you or Nahida if she is busy with something else if you play Abyss.
I already got him as an early pull during Furina's debut. I probably should have pulled for Furina cons instead, given how powerful they are, but Baizhu honestly has saved my bacon a number of times that I wouldn't go back and change it if I could. And it helps that farming for Deepwood is easy considering how many characters want Deepwood/Gilded.
I reluctantly got him early because I was trying to snipe the 4 star on his banner. Now my strongest hyperbloom team is nahida,Raiden,furina,baizhu
I pulled baizhu and let me tell you what i use him with: neuvillet, cyno, kinich, furina burgen, bloom teams, ayato. i am so glad that I pulled for this character and i see him as the best choice you could take in the upcoming banner ( Except for the new characters and arly). So yeah very worth pull.
I really like Baizhu, but getting him just has never really worked out, sadly I am going for both Citlali and Arlecchino this time around but hopefully next time I can grab him. Here's hoping we will see him before another Liyue Chronicle
His wepon is the first 5star weapon I got and was pretty annoyed but if I have luck on my side it might be nice to have gotten
I love Baizhu for both his gameplay and lore. On his 1st banner I had 270 wishes (+60 I farmed during his banner). I got very unluckt and got a Qiqi, Mona and C1 Baizhu. Still he was already SO good. After I got Furina in 4.2 I wished on his banner for Charlotte cons and I got his C2 on 2 pity. Best constellation EVER. Now to drain all teams hp without even swapping to Baizhu she needs 2-3 rotations. He makes Abyss extremly easy nit to mention fun on-field teams of his (My fav is Baizhu-Xingqiu-Fischl-EM Thoma. Does big dmg too). I used him a lot and I believe hes one of the best chatacters in the game, I used him in every single Abyss since 3.6 where he released

He also heals during exploration if you pick up plants, even underwater. One of my favs to use against local legends and the comfiest healer imo

I wanna pull for him, but man.. Furina potentially being in 5.4 and Chlorinde being in 5.3 is enough of a deterrent for me to just wait for his next rerun (IF HE EVEN GETS ONE NEXT TIME)
Current favorite chasca team is baizhu, furnina, her, and ororon just for comfort
I'm using him with Collei (C2 or higher) and Xingqui in Nilou teams for my Nahidaless account. Single Dendro never worked for me anyway. Only Nahida can supply enough to make that work but she just gets killed too easily as an onfielder so not gonna do that. The team really wants the extra EM from the Dendro resonance too as it's the only way to boost everyone's EM and the reaction scales on it yet the characters on the team other than Nahida generally don't build any because they don't need it for other teams.
Funny but Baizhu is honestly a lot better unit than Nahida as long as your priority is versatility, comfort and convenience. Nahida can't even handle multiwave, has no HP, and her camera skill is really inconvenient to use (and while she does so, all the enemies will be attacking her and did I mention she has no HP to tank those hits?) and then there is the most horrible part, Nahida wants extremely hard to get artifacts (EM double crit cup, anyone?) while Baizhu just works fine with any HP/HB Clam set pieces as long as you have some ER on them.
Love Baizhu but he’s really a comfort character and A LOT of his kit gets just supercharged by constellations and his signature weapon. C2 is quite different because it’s Dendro auto attack and heals, C4 is a party EM buff and C6 is pretty much infinite shields and heals which is super broken with his weapon that buffs Dendro elemental damage and restores his energy. He’s a weird character that goes from good to kinda broken with more investments, definitely not the most F2P friendly character.
Not sure if F2P friendly is correct term. For those who played since day 1 or maybe 2.0 you can get C3 or C6 for your favorite chars using all reruns, even for Yelan that debuted on 2.7. If I starts play on 2.7 my Yelan should be C4 now.
It's harder for newer player since 4.0 as they still need to catch-up if they only fill meta chars. Then a lot of players for some reason are just C0 lovers (horizontal investment) so even for meta Archons like Furina/Nahida they missed 50% potential by missing their C2. It's same reason why people think Mavuika sucks due to her C0 locked her to have Natlan fuel for her burst.

Well the problem is a lot of characters have very long pauses between reruns mostly due to popularity or getting powercrept by new characters with better toolkits. So spending a lot of resources on a single character doesn’t necessarily make sense to someone with limited resources to begin with. Constellations and a weapon (which technically also requires refinements to shine and is pretty much useless on any other character in this case, plus Baizhu is very replaceable at C0) are not exactly the best option for a F2P. This gets compounded by the fact that Baizhu has been run alongside Wanderer, Furina and Ganyu, who have much higher damage potential. So yeah to most F2P players, especially those that haven’t been around for literally 2-3 years, it’s not a priority to get.
My account is day 1 but I didn’t spend the last 4 years constantly playing (I do have a life xD). Getting primogems and wishes is time consuming and not everyone has the time to spends hours on exploration or events to have enough to spend on these reruns. Plus, it’s gacha so whether you get what you want or C100 Qiqi is up to whatever algorithm runs the wishes.
TLDR: Healing unit that requires multiple constellations and an extremely niche weapon (Prototype Amber just buffs the healing and gives energy, it doesn’t add utility and to get a better effect you’ll again need refinements which require billets) to gain most of its utility is not F2P friendly. Yaoyao is a better option for a dendro healer for a F2P by pure accessibility.
@@4.1132 Again you mention misconception for F2P-friendly term. Someone can get C2 units, Billet for R5 weapons, 100% exploration as F2P. Having a life and not 100%-ing exploration is different term than F2P or not. You can be a whale but only login for Welkin so that you miss out farmable Primogems for more pulls.

Then I guess we have different definitions of what F2P friendly means. Of course you can get multiple constellations over time (that’s not up for discussion, by that metric literally any character would be considered F2P friendly), however the use someone will get out of multiple constellations for this specific character (for Baizhu specifically not Yelan or any other character) is not very high, because there are better alternatives that require less resources and the opportunity costs of pulling him compared to any of the characters he’s been on banner with is lower. Because no matter how much exploration you do at some point there will be a cap on the freely available primogems (iirc it’s like 15-17k per patch, which is like 100 pulls without Welkin or BP), so pulling for a comfort character probably makes less sense than pulling for a nuke or a buffer unless you already have them. Effectively you get more bang for your buck (or in this case free primos). F2P „friendly“ doesn’t mean it’s impossible to do, it simply means it is not the most effective use of time or resources.

I accidentally got Baizhu while trying to build pity, while at a mere pity 30s, beating 50/50. Then got Ganyu the same day, same pity luck. So got two hard-to-say units, and can easily skip them in the upcoming future.
I have been waiting for Ganyu and Shenhe since their last banners. I do not have them at C0 but once I get them I will go for C6 Ganyu💙💋
Honestly I'm using him as a driver in my hyperbloom team with nahida. He replaced my yaoyao, he serves ,in the nicest way i can put it, as a dmg absorber. Or in a not nice way a meat shield.

As a recent Nuevilette owner, I have been wondering if pulling for Baizhu is a good choice, I’m mostly f2p (Welkin and BP sometimes) and am at Inazuma story wise so you could call me sort of new? I have been considering him for my current Neuvillette, Raiden and Kazuha setup as dendro paired with Hydro could do some funny things, plus my Nuevilette is c0 so his shield would work wonders, is this a viable team?

What I was thinking about too. I have Alhaitham and I'm thinking of using him with Nilou to have superbloom along with Yelan since imo Nilou's Hydro application is not enough.. As of now Yaoyao is the only dendro healer I have and in order for her to heal she needs to be onfield while Baizhu takes care of that problem.

Cant pull him on this banner its a trap! Keqing and Qiqi gonna jumpscare you. I would consider him if there was Yelan on the banner. But no with the units that you could lose to i would rather not risk it. Also Arle and Clorinde coming makes him not a high priority.

They tried making him a mix of Yao Yao and Kirara but Yao Yao burst healing is better and Kiraras shield is better. His shield should have been made tanky and his burst cost should have been lower
Yup but as a driver, he still more comfortable to play then yaoyao. Yaoyao being short and a melee unit means she needs to expend more stamina to run to newer enemies

Baizhu is my biggest regret in Genshin, he doesn't deserve to be a 5 star character
I like his kit but his design just always puts me off...always end up simping for a worse character.

@@fafnirable1 My Aggravate team is RaidenC3-YaeC6-NahidaC3-XilonenC0R1. I used to have Yaoyao or Kuki or even Kokomi for Hyperblooms but Xilonen works better
@Marc-w1f5x I kinda prefer Baizhu instead of Nahida for aggravate since he works better with multi wave content, but I love using Nahida for bloom based teams since I switch more often. Baizhu's shield also helps when I use Tighnari, but I would prefer using Nahida and Kuki for Alhaitham. I love using Xilonen with Emily burning teams with Lyney or Arlecchino because those 2 are doing most of the damage and Emily could use noblesse for the extra attack boost. Xilonen is slightly weaker on Dendro based teams since she doesn't work with Dendro, but she does help the other elements
