Ween is without a doubt the MOST creative and versatile band EVER. No one else is even close. They are indie rock, art rock, funk, singer/songwriter, pop, metal, jazz, prog rock, country, dance, folk, calypso, jam band, soul, blues, acid rock, and countless other styles that defy description.
It's a wonder that WEEN was not a "Super Group" and MUCH, MUCH more popular than they actually were. WEEN deserves a lot more recognition and respect than they received over the years. Had it been a different time period and had they gotten more exposure, they would have shot up to Super stardom without a doubt. An incredible band, incredible musicians, and performers!
Joe Van Seeters Absofuckinglutely!! Couldn't have said it better myself! This cover blew my mind. Then again, not surprising coming from them. My 2nd favorite band to see live!
saw Ween live a few times and one thing that struck me was that their fans/their crowds were the BEST fucking people to see a show with. such great folks, like a big friendly party. I know a few Ween fans but I wish I knew a bunch more. the best humans.
The bassist is the unsung hero in this, he really nails it. Dean's guitar solo contains some phrases from the "Stairway to Heaven" solo, cool way to weave that in.
First things first, I really hate the fact that not all of the live in Chicago set was included on the album because that means I can't play this cover on spotify. Second of all, I have the weirdest feeling on this band. On one hand, I wholeheartedly believe that they deserve a lot more recognition than they get. But on the other hand, the fact that they are so unknown means that whenever you come across another fan of their music out in the wild, it feels a lot more special. I may be wrong, but I don't think there are any fake ween fans out there. And no, the people who appreciate them just for ocean man don't count.
People sleep on Ween but there aren't many bands who can not only release such incredible singles on their own, but also remain versatile enough to perform covers of so many incredible and very different artists, and perform them WELL.
Aaron Freeman and co. are such underrated talents. Freeman has a beautiful voice and is so versatile it’s brilliance gone mostly unnoticed or chalked up to Ween being a “joke” band. They certainly had a sense of humor but I always took them very seriously. I’ve grown up with them, I’ve been with them since Pure Guava came out when I was 12 years old. I’m 38 years old now and I still hold Ween near and very dear to my heart. It’s good to see this live Led Zeppelin cover. Thanks for sharing it.
sorry I just listened to some ween music on you tube and sorry im not a fan at all. so my original thought of this band still stands, they suck. sorry ween fans just my opinion.
There were the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles. There was Pink Floyd and there was Led Zeppelin. And then there was Ween. The only difference is those guys got the recognition they deserved for their talent. Sadly, most of the world might never recognize Ween as the next great step in Rock that they are. I'm glad that I do at least.
At their fans love them with a vehement passion. I love zeppelin, but i dont have a tattoo of their logo. But i have the boognish tattooed on my arm. So there ya go.
@@michaelmcgcp oh, there's other lesser known bands for that deserve recognition. I love the standard rock bands for sure, and they deserve the notoriety they have. But there are definitely others that are as good as them, that should be more recognized. I'm open to any suggestions too
John O Many people stop their digging after they listen to all the top hits from all the top artists when it comes to exploring older music. U seem like a good guy tho sorry i came off as a dick. Plenty of great artists to find!
Wtf I remember 'push the little daisies' when I was in primary school back in the early 90's, I would never have thought they could have pulled off such an awesome version, and even a live version! That was bloody awesome and good on these guys!!!

wow o wow que buena voz del vocalista y la banda tocan muy bien dios escuchar el tema de los grandes Led Zeppelin All Of My Lover es lo Maximo Eso Es Amor Pasion por la Musica Esto Es Una Locura
This cover is absolutely nuts. He sounds so similar, yet so different than Robert Plant. Nothing but pure talent. Ween will forever exist as one of the most underrated bands to ever exist. Crazy talent. I think the reason they never really got recognized is because of their "expirimental/psychedelic phase" which was still incredible, but underappreciated. 100% excellency
This is the most beautiful exchange between Ween and us fans, expressing the insane love for each other. We are a disgusting dirty love fest and I'm all in.
I was excited when I heard Ween did a cover of this and was excited ! It sounded phenomenal - you can hear the crowd burst into loud cheers as soon as the opening keyboards start - who doesn't like to hear a live Led Zeppelin cover ?? Everything sounded great till the end of the guitar solo and the band missed the entire heavy section riffs that come before the keyboard and guitar solos and FOLLOW the guitar...they missed it completely after the guitar solo ended !
This was 2003, cell phones didn't have cameras yet. They didn't even have touchscreens, just a keypad and a shitty black and grey display that looked like something from 1980 :D Yeah, it amazes me too how quickly tech has developed but if you don't believe me just re-watch something like the Matrix movies and look at the cell phones people were using circa 2002. Cell phone videos and 'selfies' have only come about in the past decade or so. Now they are everywhere :/
This is an absolutely sensational cover from a criminally underrated band. The only Zeppelin cover id personally put above this one is Great White’ cover of Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.
Great great cover!! This song is like Mozart beethoven and Bach doing the best concertos of their songs. Say what you may but led zepp is this generations electric classical canon.....
Ween is, quite possibly, the most underrated band ever.
Absolutely
Underrated? By whom, pray tell.
When you go to like a comment and realize you already have… perhaps years ago.
They are not under-rated, they are amazing, just less knovvn than they deserve.
Underrated comments on youtube are so underrated. Your comment should have more likes. Such an underrated comment.
I just tell myself Ween are a new band and I don’t feel so stupid for missing them all of these years.
There's another band rhymes with Ween. They are the best.
Cream?
Pauleh Queen. ;)
my friend asked me what genre ween is. should i just say yes?
KRISPY KREMES GUITAR CHANNEL ween is their own genre
This is the best cover of a zep song I've ever heard
I’m going to have to disagree and say Tool’s version of “No Quarter” is better
Hands down!
Look up Great White’ cover of Babe I’m Gonna Leave You. It’s undoubtedly the best Zeppelin cover in existence.
Agreed
Totally!
I got to see Ween live, twice, it was the best experience imaginable
Lucky
I’m going to tell my kids this is Greta van fleet
That’s some funny shit
that's the funniest thing I've read in 2021 yet
Why u gonna give them false information on 2 equally amazing artists tho 😂
@Blake Branson what the fuck are you on about

I love them, they are amazing musicians... but they do have a tendency to be a bit juvenile, makes it hard for a lot of people to take them seriously.
Well said Joe. Completely agree.
Same here. I have seen them twice and both times the crowd was so cool.
It takes balls to cover a zeppelin song because the bar is set so high but this was pretty sweet.
The bassist is the unsung hero in this, he really nails it. Dean's guitar solo contains some phrases from the "Stairway to Heaven" solo, cool way to weave that in.
Ween is the most criminally underrated band ever
Favorite band performing a favorite song. Doesn't get better than this.
Lady of the ween
Zep fan since 1970. Actually, a part of my soul. Bravo is all I can say!

I've never seen this classic performed live by anyone. What a jewel.
These guys are incredible. Far more talented than anyone realizes
I love Ween...and I love Led Zeppelin!!!! Great cover!!!
The most nailed Deaner solo ever. He crushed it 1000%
OK, now let's hear Zep play "Pink Eye on My Leg"!
Sp8ceMonkey1 then they'd claim it was theirs
MrCoffeekelly LMFAO!!! nailed it.
why would they want to play that shit. ween is lucky to play any zep song. this is pretty good for a half assed band.
they must have at least good taste in music to want to play the GOAT music.
sorry I just listened to some ween music on you tube and sorry im not a fan at all. so my original thought of this band still stands, they suck. sorry ween fans just my opinion.
this cover makes me cry like a baby every time
Keep the faith.
The roaring cheer the crowd gives at the beginning is amazing. You can tell no one expected them to play this
What a great live recording. Ween nailed it.
I'm constantly looking for live performances with the audio pristine. This is in my top 10.

You guys did an amazing job. I tip my hat to you. Mad respect.

Unbelieveable! Perfect !!
this may sound sacrilegious but this is ween's finest moment.
I wish i could've seen this show ❤
better than when page and plant did "touch my tooter"
Perfect
The guy's voice is amazing...I know it's not Robert Plant but he sounds really good...
freeman>plant
Robert is an industry Plant
Damned good cover, if you’re thumbing this down I have no idea what’s wrong with you

NAILED the keyboard solo.

Beautiful.
What so few bands get is how in the pocket Zep was. Ween got it. The entire band.
Sweet thanks for the upload
They nailed it, beautiful! D~
The best band ever
Wow, I've never heard them do this song...pretty fantastic.
God I love Ween
muito bom o baixista e o tecladista sao sensacionais
I watch this video at least once a month. How the fuck do these videos not have more views?

The Swiss Army Knife of Bands.
Holy shit! My favorite version hand's down.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
The best cover, that I 've sow
2:50 ... gets to the top of the keyboard's range and realises he needs another octave to keep playing this solo like the record, wings it.
ha ha so well done, all moog like!
They practice the songs before they play, he would have realized prior
Would have been a nice touch to have JPJ sit in to get that Key Solo right....
Retinal Circus INC Moognish
I actually like Gene's cadence in this more than Plant's in the original. Though I love both versions!
Me too ruclips.net/video/jvozB6nFO9M/видео.html

Holy shit this is such a great cover. I can dig it.
Amaze Balls!!!!
I love the shrug Gener gives when he flubs the lyric in the first verse "within the cloak that weaves a cloak of delight"
I am absolutely blown away I did not see who was singing it when it came on I honestly thought it was zep
LOVE IT

I would have paid way too much to see this. Too bad I was 5 in 2003.
perfect bassline recreation here - amazing tribute to John Paul Jones
Okay, wow, I have always been a ween fan and I love zeppelin, I can't believe how well he sings this song! Sounds like Robert Plant to me.
