I always wanted a pool my whole life and finally got one now that I’m retired, I don’t know the first thing about a pool but I’m learning, my kids just bought this sweeper for me so thanks for the video
Thank you for the video! We bought a house with a pool, and I tried several times last year to use a similar vacuum, but never got it to work, and there were no instructions on how to use it. Now that I know what needs to be hooked up, I'm going to get my pool vacuumed out today!
Biggest bang for the buck Works as good as vacuums costing more!!! This vacuum works as advertised, set-up and installation was easy, just follow directions. Purchased and added 2 lengths of hose to reach the far end. Roams around randomly, up and down walls and bottom and eventually cleans all areas. I recommend installing a leaf basket on the hose to prevent big debris from getting sucked into the piping and the pump skimmer basket. I wouldn't want something getting caught in the underground pipes.
Mine got stuck continuously right where you show at the steps. I came home to an empty pool as it got stuck at the stairs, cocked up and ripped a huge hole through the liner floor. I went back to Wanda the Whale. Oh yeh, the click-a-click-a-clack can be heard for a long way off as the pool walls will amplify the noise. My neighbors were elated when I got rid of that PO crap.
Hello Berry, Please be so kind and tell me which position you choose on your pump when you connect this device? I'm asking for Sand Filters Pumps where I think that you have de following option: 1) Filter mode but on this case all your debris and rests from your pool will block your pump or will reduce the filter performance if you dont clean it with "Backwash" mode and later "Rinse". 2) "Recirculation" mode but on this case you wipl have better vacuum but on the other hand some small debries might return or your pool because the water doesn't go through your sand filter. 3) "Waste" mode, i didn't use it but I think that vacuum could be ok but you will lose a quantity of water because all waste goes out. So which mode is better for a proper vacuum and good clean? Especially for green water wit algae on it? Thank you and regards!
Filter mode where u have it when u run the pool. The others will shoot water out of the pool. The sand filter is made to catch dirt and debris and I don't have to back wash after every use.
I use a different type of cleaner for my above ground pool but it used to get stuck behind that ladder same design that I have. So I bought two liquid chlorine bottles filled with sand and put them in that little opening behind the ladder no more issues with that.
Thank you for the video! We just purchased our vacuum, not sure where to put the weights you mentioned, we have an 8ft deep in-ground pool, any advice would help! The manual is kind of trash
I have an above ground pool with a SandPro 75D which is 3/4 hp and I do not have a skimmer. I tried directly connecting it to the pump but nothing is happening.
How long do you have to run your pump to clean your pool? I wonder because it seems like a manual pole and cleaner will work much faster but, I guess it's fast vs. No manual work.
No one is answering the question of the pump losing prime when vacuum is connected. Air gets in and the gauge reads 9 and the hoses are trembling. What’s the remedy for that?
Hi there, see the bits in your pool .. I had the pool cleaned with a very expansive vacuum the pool maintenance people gave me because I claimed they didn't clean the pool properly ... but sadly for some reason those bits appeared again ... any idea why or what they are? thank you :)
I don't have a skimmer my pool is a $ 500 Walmart pool the pump is small and just has a filter 2 suction hoses pull that run to the filter the blows water back in. For this type of pool will this work at all?
Hi! I know this video is from a month ago! One minute the vacuum wants to clean great and then it randomly stops working and the hoses are moving from skimmer as if its working.... any ideas on how to fix it? Or the problem?!
Is sounds like either the filter or skimmer is possibly getting full and needs cleaned while it is working. Have you also checked to see if the vacuum head may have gotten clogged during this? Lastly make sure the hose is well attached and no air is getting into the pump filtration. Not sure, but this is where I would start to look. Good luck!
Hi Carmen, while the connection for the hoses will fit, the size of the pump that came with the Summer Escape pool is probably not powerful enough to work properly. However if you have upgraded the pump to at least a 3/4 HP pump, it will work with your that style of pool.
I’m two months late but I’m about to use mine for the first time. I have a sand filter pump, do I need to put it on waste? Or leave it on filter while using the vacuum? Thank you so much 😊
I have a Coleman 24 round pool above ground it has 2 inlets for where the water goes into the pump and then the return into the pool. where would I hook it up and will it work. My wife ordered this and it said for both but box only says inground. I tried to hook up today and it would not move.
Does anybody have any suggestions for me? I'm a new pool owner and I inherited one of these several months back. It worked great at first and was loving it. Then I had to leave town for work for a month and my pool turned into a mess with all sorts of algae growing in it. I hired a pool cleaner and drained out my pool and got it all cleaned out with new water but now the sweeper doesn't move nearly as well like it used to. I was told to just buy a new and I did. Bought the same exact model and everything but same issues. Doesn't run as smoothly as before. It cleans still but just moves really slow and it doesn't make that tapping noise as before. Anybody have any ideas on what I can do?
I have a Hayward pool do you know anything about them? I’ve had issues every year with getting the strainer basket lid off. I’ve changed it 3 times and changed and lubed the O-ring every time. But the way it is made I have to break it to get it off to clean the basket. The pool is 7 yrs old, I know it has to have suction but the setup, the way it locks it’s impossible to get off. The man next door tried getting it off and it won’t budge. I had a pool man change it this year but it will not come off. The lid locks on and supposedly you can put pressure on it and turn it, well that is impossible. I’m wondering if I could find a different type of lid? Anyone have any suggestions? The part number is SPX1500D2A.
Same problem here and I have some seriously strong brothers..still wouldn’t budge. It was never this was until about 5 years ago so I’m thinking changed with the way it was manufactured.
@@easyclearpool Thanks for your reply. My biggest concern is the algae on the walls so if this is able to get the wall algae, I'm willing to give it a try.
It vacuums great but it’s blowing dirt clouds back into the pool from the return in the pool. It’s making the water cloudy. How do I fix that please!!!
Either your filter needs cleaning or there is more dirt on the bottom can it can handle. In this case you could either try and slow down the vacuuming or if you have a Waste option on your pool, you can use it while vacuuming so that the dirt is sent straight out of the pool and bypasses the filter.
Berry's Pool thanks so much for your time. I really appreciate it. I’m new at this . I don’t have a sand filter just a stock filter for a summer waves pool. I will try everything. Thanks again!😊🙏

Placing one just slightly above the vacuum and another toward the top of your water. You might have to adjust them differently based on your water levels.

It would be best to use the low speed and only turn it on high if you're not seeing effective vacuuming.

Have you made sure all skimmer baskets are clean and not too clogged as well as the hoses aren't full of air - hose may may need primed with water?

I actually got it put together and it worked yesterday but not working today?? I’m lost lol
I forgot to add that it was the pool! I had to get lid off of sand skimmer and once I did it works like a charm! I’m thrilled I purchased it!
What setting do you have your filter? Are you filtering it back into pool?
Have it on filter mode, the pool filter catches the debris.
Can this clog the filter? I mean if enough debris is collected?
If your pool is very dirty it can max out your filter. Fir bigger debris make sure a skimmer collects it before reaching the pump and filter.
You can add a leaf catcher in line with the hose. The canister will catch the debris such that only the finest particles reach the filter. Highly recommended
Mine doesn’t vacuum the whole pool. It keeps going in the same path cleaning only about half of the pool. Any ideas?
Changing the hose length and direction the water return flows back in the pool are a couple ways to get different results.

It can get stuck at times, but for the most part doesn't have a major issue with it.

If that second hose has another suction point you would need to plug it off for the vacuum to work.
