A lot of times, we are working on our cars for YEARS and still haven't completed it. I don't know this man's age, but I find that the younger generation wants things now, but it takes time to build wealth. I completely understand his frustration, but keep grinding, and good things will come out of it.
I feel the guys pain. My car has been sitting for 3 years because I can't afford a transmission for it. I has a brand new 347 stroker that have never got to drive or hear run. Just keep your faith brother. Keep pushing forward never give up on your dream.
That what it's all about !!!! Keep the dream a live . It's not just your car. You are building it, your legacy, because in the end, we are only the caretakers of our builds. We are the last of our generation that builds cars. Build your car ! We all can not afford to do high-end builds. As a workman, you are looking at it the wrong way around. God has blessed you to have 50 hours a week to take care of your family! You are halfway there, stay in the fight, you are not alone!!!!!!
@@MEMPHISBOI_901sometimes things have to sit. Ive got my ranger thats swapped I drive every day but I also have a 2002 Z28 that I got new thats been sitting since march of 2013. It literally just needed an engine but now that it has sat for 11 years, it'll need a lot more and I am just not in a position to get it going. One day maybe. Don't give up in it, just plan accordingly
LMAO. I have a 70 Chevelle that I've been working on for 4 years. I got 22,000 invested and it's still not complete. It can be driven around the yard but that's it. Some guys spend 8 to 10 years working on these cars and alot of painters want to charge 20,000 just for a paint job on these cars.
My car has been sitting for 8 years in my garage. I have been slowly gathering parts and almost have everything to put it back on the road the day is coming it's a long road.
Car hobby is a rich man's playtime nowadays. Been trying to do anything with my crappy old Fox for 20 some yrs. Life gets in the way when all you do is work and come home exhausted
You hit it right on the head! I don’t care how motivated you are, exhaustion will catch up to you in the worst possible way. You’re not alone in this hobby. I purchased a Dart SHP SBF block in 2018 new for $1800.00. Six years later, the same block cost $3500.00 and a SBC costs $3300.00…WTF! It all started with the Biden regime cutting energy production in the United States. Manufacturing, production, and shipping takes energy. The customer is the one getting hit with the bill. The Biden regime put extreme red tape regulations on anything that uses fossil fuels to push their climate change scam!
My car comes second to all those more important things you certainly have to hustle to generate the expendable income. Nothing is impossible if you push the limits, but these builds don’t happen overnight.
I love this rabbit hole. Its what made me a mechanic. I budget about 3k a year. but set a budget, springtime hits go crazy. Its about the journey not the destination. Being broke actually makes it more fun. Barter, trade, save etc. Make friends. Fix cars on the side and grow... It's the Journey!!!!
My 92 GT is basically put together with toothpicks and rubber bands lol but seriously all used parts so it’s possible to have a nice car on a “shoestring” budget
I wanted a foxbody since highschool I finally got my first one when I was 41 years old and finally got it reliable and fun to drive at 46 it takes time for some of us.
That guy obviously hasn’t been watching your videos for very long. You’ve most definitely put in the hard work and have had to earn it and you motivate car enthusiasts (like myself) to stop making excuses and get after it! Keep up the amazing content Caleb!
when I restored my dad's vert a couple years ago, I almost exclusively bought used parts and horse traded for things I needed. You gotta do what you gotta do. I buy used parts for my S550 as well. I don't have much expendable money, and some of my friends have left me in the dust; but I'm still very happy with the end result of my cars while spending responsibly.
I sold my Mustang to settle a divorce and was able to buy it back later when i recovered financially from the divorce. I then became disabled and lost everything, house, cars, and even an eviction from my apartment. All while I was unable to work. My Mustang was the only thing I owned free and clear. My now wife refused to let me sell the car again because she knew what it ment to me. Unable to drive it due not being able to use clutch pedal anymore, a couple of my mustang friends swapped an auto in it for me so I can enjoy it again. I know times are rough for a lot of people right now, me included, in the meantime I'll watch your videos and live vicariously through your videos
Ive owned alot of fast high end cars where all told I was close to 100k into them. Yes it was cool to have one to drive and show off but the bottom line its just a load of stress and issues in the end.
Caleb- great jog at responding. The guy must have not been around long, to see all side of the stuff you cover and also hear your story (history). But, you were very general and gracious and hopefully the guy was just frustrated and he will circle back around and watch this one day. Again, fantastic job.
Man, I love all of your videos they are always very informative. I owned 3 FoxBody's, and I haven't owned one in the last 5 years.. but with that being said, when I was building my cars, it was me and a 2 other buddies of mine. we would part swapp and save and build one another cars just to help our cars get to where we wanted. I now own my own wheel repair company, RWR Restorations LLC, and I am saving to buy my next car. Word of advice to anyone that desires to build a car never compromise your peace to be a weekend warrior, save your money learn how to do the work yourself or just don't get in to building cars if you can't handle the coast.
Love your content and appreciate your honesty. I think many of us, including me, understand the frustration of affording any upgrades, let alone just keeping them running. Even more challenging these days. Besides that there's always something to learn and admire on Foxcast Media :) As of right now my intake manifold is cracked and can't afford to fix yet.
I just picked up my first Foxbody. A 92 GT. Its nice. I was so exited since the car survived a 4 hour ride home. I’m now replacing the water pump…however I have mechanical knowledge and decent friends. I think overall I can build a 10 second car for under 11K if I do the work myself, trade, and overall just be smart. This channel will become my guide.
Great job on Frostbite Brothers! She’s coming along. Everyone has different circumstances. Therefore everyone’s budget is different. Projects take time, patience and a budget. A person should never compare themselves to others or their projects to someone else’s! When that happens fun goes out the window because it becomes a competition. Relax, learn and have fun while building a Foxbody! 👊🏾👊🏾
My 04 GT has sat for almost 2 years now. Had the rear end rebuilt with a 31 spline setup by someone else, then installed a brand new walbro fuel pump myself and about a year later, I got bearing noises coming from the rear end. Talk about disheartening. While it sat, other things started to go bad. I've ended up putting on complete new front brakes down to the hoses because the calipers seized up, front hubs, a new upstream oxygen sensor and one downstream, BOTH window motors, battery, various weatherstrippings, about to change the oil again just for good measure and now I'm ready to tackle the rear end on my own this time. Then its gonna need all 4 new tires. Its taken time, working longer days and saving money to be able to get this car back on the road. You just have to do what you've gotta do and be patient. Everything will be okay.
Man you can't let that email get to you or than a moment of empathy. Most of us are happy for the success of your business/brand. Anyone wanting a thirty, maybe plus, year old sports car, WANTS that car, it's a luxury. In the late nineties and early 2000s I had a shop, primarily car audio, but I drove foxes, we started v8 swapping and injecting older cars by modifying factory wire harnesses. At different points we had over 20 parts/project cars. The fox values then made it unprofitable as often as it was. I was also a contractor and made significantly more money doing that, so I stopped. For the last 20 years I have gotten random calls for parts or cars. Watching you for the last several years, along with those calls I have decided to set up shop again. So thanks for the inspiration to go back into a business that I was passionate about. Keep doing what you're doing, man, it is appropriated.
I feel the guys pain too. Everytime i get the money together and find a body that would be worth building something comes up. Whether its braces for the kids, wifes truck needs repairs, medical bills or latest one was my son needed his own vehicle for going to college. Day after we bought his truck had an 01 bullet turn up that could of gotten instead, same price we paid for his truck.
I been building my car for 10yrs still not done yet i been fustrated many times over the years ups and dones in this build lost a few donor cars and all i am far from rich no sponsors no donations everything on me. I still not given up i done buy parts piece by piece . my health was not good . was in and out the. hospital a few times its been a ruff road my car is. In my brothers garage on jack stands no drive train. And ima truck driver allways on the road. One day my build will be finish and complete.
I'm just starting to restore am 89 fox. I did have some serious excitement to get going but I had to throttle myself and remind myself it's a long term project
You do what you can do, when you can do it! I’ve owned my ‘66 for a couple decade, and it been a project the whole time. I never wanted a car to make me miss out on family life. I worked a full time job, and side-jobs allowed me to save up a little money here and there. Now I’m close to the finish line.
This is spot on. We’ve all had hard times. Currently building a fox project on only side hustle money. Not spending a dime from the family money. So far, been buying mostly used parts as well. Saves a ton of money.
If I couldn’t do most of my own work I couldn’t afford it either. I have to save up to buy parts but I enjoy planning waiting and saving. As strange as it may sound it just means more to me when I save up for it and do it myself. I cant do the big ticket stuff like coyote swaps. I do think they are cool but for me they just aren’t realistic. But I enjoy what I have and thats what its all about.
Very true. What you're saying took me 2 years to build mine. You guys help me to get motivated you can finish the car I do a lot of detailing so I can have extra money to get my car stuff. I work 55 hours a week
Bingo!!!!, I work a regular 8 hours a day job and come home to work more. My normal day is usually 13-14 hours and all day most Saturday and Sundays. There was a void in my community for transmission rebuilds and I filled that void. The problem I have now is I over commit myself and rarely have time to work on my own projects. Life can be a double edged sword sometimes. We all have to start somewhere. I to have bought numerous used parts and went without because my kids or wife needed something.
Great video. It’s great to see the reality of real life and what people go through everyday. Not all the BS on the internet and how everyone has hundreds of thousands in a bunch of cars. Put your priorities first and keep your head down and charge forward. It will happen. 😎🇺🇸
I love 5.0s all mustang u are what make dreams come true if it wasn’t for people like you these cars would be forgotten love your channel keep up good work
Been there/ am there. I’ve been working on my car for 20 years, some years I don’t spend any on it. Other years $2,000 tops. I’m still about $11,000 in parts away from my goal. Realistically I’m 10 ish years away from getting there. If you want it, it’s a real grind. Certainly disheartening at times.
If anyone gets down about how their life is going or is envy or sad because their hot rod hasn't been fixed just be thankful for the food, water , and electricity that you have! Life can be much worse than not being able to afford a Turbo, also with that being said if anyone has a old car that they can't afford to rebuild, sell it and just get a something dated that is fast and runs good - mustang, Audi and just enjoy it as is. .that will save a heap of money vs 10k to get a get classic car back on the road
When I was young with 5 kids and a wife. Most extra Hobbies are off the table.I'm old I have a Gt Mustang know.Just remember the song by Johnny Cash. The Song about the 57,58,59 Cadillac. How he got it one peace at a time and it's mine all mine.😂❤
I own a 2003 GT. It’s my passion. I work full time as a mechanic and have a wife and three boys with another wife now the way. My car sat covered from late December until just recently because my throw out bearing blew apart. Took my this long to get McLeod clutch, new cache and ford bearing. Plus I took a day off at work to use my lift to pull the transmission and do it myself. We all have our struggles. You have to want it and work for it.
I feel the guys pain too. I work at a mustang shop, and sometimes I really do feel bad at how expensive this stuff is. It’s ridiculous, BUT I will say there are still a ton of people who think a heads, cam, intake job is gonna be $1000 out the door, it’s just not physically possible anymore. Especially when doing terminator X kits people are surprised at how much money goes into the kit, parts and also labor to install all of that. Like I said I 100% feel bad, and I also have my own 89 hatch that took 2 years to get together so I 100% know how expensive this stuff is
Some car youtubers come across as having alot of money while others come across as working class. You and Brewtl come across as cool working class guys. The automotive youtubers that come across as having alot of money are the ones who are always buying cars left and right that are typically at the high end of collectability. Some of the hotrod youtubers who come across as having alot of money, are those who are not only youtubers, but public figures in the automotive industry. The public figure aspect is what gives them more disposable income to spend on toys.
Person who wrote that email needs to take accountability for their own life instead of wasting time to write an email complaining that he cant afford some of the build you do. Probably never occurred to him that he should work on bettering himself and his position in life before taking on a car project if he cant even afford tires 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Literally worked on and stored my car 3 years on and off. Engine bay smoothed. All parts and particulars to basically rebuild. Life got in the way finances, divorce etc. Car lost completely. 50k easily down the drain
Right there with this guy. Still love the content. But I fully understand the feeling. I've owned my fox for 10 years and it feels like Its been stagnant for half of that. I just keep reminding myself. "I already own it, and there's no time limit" that works for a while. Then I find myself thinking "I could sell it and buy one that's mostly stock or closer to being finished" isn't half the fun building them up from nothing though?
I feel that guys pain but like others have said these cars are a luxury not a necessity. My car has been sitting 2 years because I haven’t had the extra income to to put towards it. But I know one day it will see the road again. Maybe not this year or next, it may be 10 years down the road but when it does I’ll know that I did everything right for my family along the way. If you realy want something you save every penny and eventually those pennies add up
yup, had to choose between a dream of dropping a coyote in my new edge, or buying a house. the car is currently sitting in the garage, not running. im going to make the decision whether to keep it or let it go come this november.
Sorry Caleb, I know you pride yourself on being self-made, coming from nothing. That one had to hurt, and it was generous of you to take the time to address it. I get what he's saying too. It's hard seeing what all is possible out there and knowing you don't have the money to do it. Wanting to have the best car possible and beat anyone on the street is terribly enticing, especially when you can't do it practically. For me, it took years of suffering in the trenches of car building and frustration for my attitude on it to take a hard left and move towards just wanting something I can enjoy. And you're right, he's not angry at you. Needing to not have all those car goodies in front of him all the time is probably the right move for him at this point. Best of luck to him.
Most car guys live in and around a shop always putting countless hours in on a car I was never that guy I had rather pay someone because I didn't have the tools or patience or want to but you save tons of money with the diy method and being around like minded people thata got knowledge and experience too. Can't get caught up in coveting what someone has or has earned or by how much passion they have for something. This is a good channel he doesn't try to be an influencer but that's what all social media is called so enjoy the cars enjoy the content the builds the free information and advice, go to Ford takeover and enjoy the community but don't go broke because this economy isn't easy on a working man by design. Still waiting and praying for coyote swaps to get below $5k for the new edge without me doing the work.
You handle that very well!! I don't know what he thinks gonna happen from unsubscribing tho ! As you said priority's gotta be on point I myself live thru the videos till I can do something!
My daughter is grown. 20yrs ago I was in this guys shoes. But now its just me the wife and the pets. I have been dreaming for 20yrs of being able to do what im doing now. Buget went out the window years ago
I am doing a v8 swap on my mustang and to do it I am buying cheap mustangs to scrap out and take the money selling parts to fund the swap. 100% on the side hustle to find the car stuff.
It use to be much more affordable to build your Foxbody back in the day. The economy has us in a chokehold making decisions that affect our builds. I lived on Mustangs Unlimited and LMR in the early 2000’s. Great Deals. Also no more wrecking yards with Foxes in them or similar vehicles to pull parts from.
Well said bro You definitely gota have you shit together before you start a build.I was buying parts for mine over 10 years ago finding that them deals helps a lot also.None of us are rich so I'm always down for some used parts. You just gota be patient might take a few years but look at the money saving plus that big bill didn't hit you all at once on your build.
Find a less expensive hobby that gives you joy..I understand his disappointment. My 3 month build has come to a stop.I missed the opening race bracket at my local track and every day since it opened..I just can't afford it anymore. Sorry guys I,m lossing the love for this hobby. You guys keep up the great content it was a joy to tune in and be apart of this greatness you shared.
You don't owe an apology to anyone man. When I was 21 and bought my first house my 86 GT sat for 2.5 years due to life change. The internet and car restoration shows make it look like you can do this in 2 weeks. Now I'm 53 and still building a mustang. Even now, and I've done well for myself and my family, I still budget the hobby.
God first, forgiveness of sin is key! Don't let the car become an idol... God knows where He is in the priorities we have...and while families can often be supportive...they can also see where maybe they sacrificed their needs for your wants...and if that doesn't get reciprocated....they can be helpful in exposing some need of a shift in priorities for a greater good. My car has been on back burner for YEARS... and now with college expenses...I'm still trying to determine whether to let someone else take the car for a pittance of what I have in it for the space that a family would see I'm making for them in the way of helping out....but I also don't want them to see just how easy it is for me to let go of things that I've spent time and money on and have the thought that I can just as easily wash my hands of them as well... communication is important....but in the grand scheme of things....all the stuff will go the way of the thief, moth, and flame... God's Only Son Permits Eternal Life! 😇🙏💪
I have 2 that have been around since they where new 1 91 gt and 97 cobra factory Roush that I have been working on them and it is very very hard being disabled and such
I feel for him and know exactly what he's going through, my fox would still be up on jack stands or sold if it wasnt for the Affirm financing LMR has. Oh and mostly FB marketplace struck some very good deals.
It’s all relative people , i feel that guys pain but its just life. I own fox bodies because i like them and pretty inexpensive in comparison, but i play with Porsche’s, its 10 -20 times as expensive, not saying this to play big, the guys I hang out with play with The Italian cars, which is 10 times as big as Porches so we all limits It’s just cars people , you do what you can afford, real life is more important but don’t ever let it demoralize you, Every day you wake up is a good day, if you can pay the bills and put a roof over your head then your doing well and cars are a perk. We have all been there, keep pushing and dont give up
After I got married, had three children. Raised them, both of us worked provided income. We watched our money, bought house after two yrs. You only make money when your the boss, use the little bit of extra income to buy tools for your own business. I was in my 40s before I started having and spending money on building a car.
I get it too, do I want 400 h.p. yes, but the real world says for me to make a good looking 04 GT a very reliable 2V, is it fast, it okay but sounds good, reliable, looks good, do all the upgrades, repairs myself on what I can afford if i can't it has too wait.
its a life style i hate to say it but , YOU HAVE TO WANT THIS LIFE STYLE TO GET SHIT DONE! if this is the life style you desire than you have to use your inner crackhead energy and hustle its not for the weak , its 2024 there a million ways to make extra money , we have computers in our pockets every day , it legit took me 8 years to be in the position to build my t top notch(i bought it as a high school graduation present to my self in october of 2015, i didnt get to take my first drive in the car until september 2023 and it happened to be on my birthday , because well life happened) , i use to part foxes and sn95s out, ive flipped swap meet parts, got a second job just to buy car parts , and agreed it should come second when it comes to family and daily necessities, .. also to those who think these cars are built over night , they arent most are built over 5,10 or even 20 years , and sometimes the projects need to go on the back burner. for 1 or 5 years , if you have the means to keep the car do so , if you have car buddies but also know a trade they dont , exchange favors, lots of opportunities out there if you look hard enough.
To buy my car, I had to bust my ass, 60 hrs a week. Basicly shelling out every cent I had for 6 months to pay off the car off right away. I bought a car that was like 95% complete, paint job, HCI installed, crate motor. Very clean with 0 rust and also pricey for 10 years ago. But I jumped on it and 10 years later I can say thank God that I did. People dont see the blood and sweat that I paid with for that car when they see me in it. Life aint easy and cars are not cheap.
I understand what the guy is saying, but I believe he is taking the wrong approach. Like you said it’s a hobby. We all have different situations and responsibilities. Some of us are luckier than others or our situations warrant little play money. It’s a tough world out there, especially now money is so tight. It’s kinda why I watch RUclips lol. I have a 1986 t top fox, a car I always wanted. It sits in the garage mostly unfinished waiting until the day that I can dedicate more time and money to it. It hurts looking at it sometimes and when I see people abusing mustangs (whistlin diesel) or complaining about them it does burn a hole in my ass. I don’t get salty though. If I learned anything in life it’s for lack of a better term , karma. If you walk around hating, jealous and all that happy horse shit you will inevitably be stuck in a loop of shit. I view everything I watch as a learning experience. I just stick with that.
Absolutely understand having had to sell many cars and bikes for my family and I would gladly do it again. However, as a patreon member, I enjoy the channel because it's not my buddy's in the garage haha you do a great job of budget builds to the really nice stuff. I feel bad for the guy but does he message millionaires and ask them to drive non-supercars?
i understand where the guy is coming from. There was a point in time i wanted to build my foxbody but could barely afford to put food on the table for me and my then wife. But he’s comparing apples to oranges in this case because he said he works 50 hours a week, so its likely he’s working a normal job being paid by someone else. You run multiple businesses 7 days a week so you’ve got the money to do what you want to do with these cars. I also understand that families take up a lot of time and money as well, but it all boils down to if you want to get where you want to be in life you have to work for it
Just put a 7 grand charge to my credit card last month for new tires, race pads and every thing to a full axle removal and rebuild all new everything inside for my Stang 😂 I’ll bounce back! In a few months. But just need the car ready for this season so had to pull the trigger on it
Damn... That's so stressful I'm stressed for you. Unless you make the kind of money to pay it off in a couple months, this is a huge mistake, man. You can't do this hobby on credit. When it goes wrong, because racing is the continuous search for the weakest link, you're broke, your car's broke, and you're paying interest for things that aren't even working... Then, you have to sell it all at half price just to work yourswlf 1/2 way out of the hole you dug yourself into.
@@chrisarnold769 I absolutely agree with every thing you say man. It’s little worry some and sucks to think about. But I do ok. I work as a heavy duty mechanic and make about $6000 a month. So yeah it will take me a few months to recover. But I’m absolutely addicted to racing. Im pretty much at every local event plus traveling to compete at some further away events putting down the skills repping for the mustangs. I’m absolutely addicted and wasn’t really ready for the season due to taking on some financial burdens to help others out through the winter. I understand that it wasn’t the wisest decision but I couldn’t give it up. I love seeing all my buddies at the track, having fun + meeting others. It’s what I love & look forward to more than anything else. Nothing else makes me feel more alive. Luckily for me I have no other debts though. I don’t make car payment & I don’t have a mortgage to pay off. Other than the card I’m all good. And I’ll always have work so long as things in the world keep breaking down 😅
While i can understand what its like to have your foxbody sitting mine has been sitting for over a month now with a crank no start issue i would never blame anyone for my problems im the type of person that im going to figure it out and if i can't ill work extra shifts save money and take it to someone who can
Its possible to build one on a very tight budget if you just have patiences i found my 90gt roller for 300$ found a good 302 for 100$ and found a guy who sold me a complete t5 will bellhousing clutch flywheel and pressure plate for 500$ he even tossed in a full exhaust system he wasn't going to use along with a used fuel pump i got my car back together all in for under 1000$
I see it myself but you have to figure out and build what you can afford like me myself I have always built my cars buy donating my time for trading my time for parts and none of them get built overnight and people don’t realize how long that it really takes you guys to build the cars you build like your personal car it has been in the works for a couple years
median household income was $74,580 in 2022 but that money buys you much less standard of living then even 10 years ago. If you are making that you don't have money to waste on these cars. What you see people doing online is mostly a lie. You have to remember having a fox 20 years ago as your only car and doing minor bolt on upgrades yourself is one thing. In 2002 my friends had new f-bodies they were modifying with new parts and I had the 13yr old car with 150k miles repairing things too keep it running. Guys with a fox now as their toy are either wrenching it themselves like me or having pro shops restore their cars. I was quoted $30K just for paint and body work by one of these type places. These cars are just not worth much so even if you can do the work mostly yourself it's a big money loser. I'll probably be in $20K in parts before paint but I can do alot of the work myself in my free time. But this is a long term project unlike people that just write a $60K check to get one totally rebuilt. That sounds crazy but a classic restoration shop in my area just did a fox that needed almost everything for that. And once you get your project complete you better insurance it properly because the last thing you need if a minor wreck to destroy your years of work.
I've built more mustang foxbodys and gave people parts from my stash then I care to remember..people are Insane thinking these cars are 50 to 60 k cars..it's laughable
That’s right lot of things I want to do, but my funds want allow it, so I move on, put it out of my mind, this is the stuff people talk about on social media, you see things you can’t have ,get jealous and mad, lot of people has money to burn anymore, think a lot of it is credit cards, what you want at your finger tips, there not showing that on social media,
@@thruitallauto2538this is why it has taken me 5 years just to build a stock 302 powered Ranger. I have 6k in the truck but that counts buying it, all the parts, and its all broken down to smaller amounts over time. Is it fast, kinda but not really, is it pretty, um no, its like 5 different colors from junkyard truck donor panels, is it dependable and fun, all day every day. I want it to be faster and I want it to be nicer but right now its as good as it needs to be and my satisfaction of building it myself without going broke and in debt is worth more than anything
Oh for sure!! People have it Much easier now!!! Especially compared to the 70s and 80s , people got toys of all kinds now , gadgets and more, so I don't feel bad for someone that can't have another luxury in life, I do feel bad for people that have had a injury from work or a wreck and can't provide and work anymore
You missed a very important point. This is a business for you as well as a hobby so what kind of business would it be without the projects you do. My message to the guy is to just be patient and things do come around with time.
building cars is not cheap but it’s no one’s problem but your own if you can’t afford that lifestyle. if you can hardly afford tires you probably should reevaluate your priorities🤦🏻♂️
With a Burger King Whopper today costing $7.02, and a Big Mac for over $5, with no fries or a drink, I'm done with everything. Just go to work, allowing the wealthy to get wealthier, while us Americans are financially struggling. It's the American nightmare we will likely never wake up from. Love my country, hate what it's become.
A quote to live by. "Don't Get Frustrated, Get Motivated" -Caleb Richards
A lot of times, we are working on our cars for YEARS and still haven't completed it. I don't know this man's age, but I find that the younger generation wants things now, but it takes time to build wealth. I completely understand his frustration, but keep grinding, and good things will come out of it.
Nailed it.
I feel the guys pain. My car has been sitting for 3 years because I can't afford a transmission for it. I has a brand new 347 stroker that have never got to drive or hear run. Just keep your faith brother. Keep pushing forward never give up on your dream.
Same here brother I brought my foxbody before I moved to Michigan 5 years ago and it’s still sitting in my mother’s backyard in Tennessee
I have been slowly gathering parts and almost have
everything to put it back on the road the day is coming it's a long road.
Car hobby is a rich man's playtime nowadays. Been trying to do anything with my crappy old Fox for 20 some yrs. Life gets in the way when all you do is work and come home exhausted
Me too. I feel the same.
I hope you are doing better. Enjoy that mustang. We cant take them with us when we go.
Besides that there's always something to learn and admire on Foxcast Media :)
As of right now my intake manifold is cracked and can't afford to fix yet.
Caleb, very stand up of you to explain and reason. Thanks bro. I enjoy watching the things I can do and having goals or dreams of what’s possible.
I love 5.0s all mustang u are what make dreams come true if it wasn’t for people like you these cars would be forgotten love your channel keep up good work
Care to share where you can purchase a new windshield and possibly the rear window as well. Love the videos, keep them coming.
I feel this. After my first fox was stolen 7 years ago. I’ve been trying to build a coupe since then. 4 cyl swaps suck!
Just be glad someone like ol dude here posting himself working on these old shitboxes so we can daydream
There is your problem dude, you have two wives. 😂
It’s just a hobby it’s not life spend where you can when you can. Save where you can buy when these builds are a labor of love.
You shouldn’t have to explain yourself brother nor apologize. That’s why it’s called a hobby. Not go broke or lose your family
Alex's car is beautiful, my god he's got good taste.
Right on Thanks
I busted my ass for 35 hard years at a job that I hated most of that time .to get my two sn95's
Very well said sir
Bruhh affirm is my best friend literally been trying get my shit running for 4months now
Well said!
Can't please everybody brother keep doing what you're doing.
Great video sir, and well said!
I have a good paying job and I still struggle to prioritize for car parts. Just broke a t5 and that’s likely it for my summer.
36 seconds into this video and had to stop to tell you that I love your videos man keep em coming and I'll keep on watching. Back to my viewing.
I own fox bodies because i like them and pretty inexpensive in comparison, but i play with Porsche’s, its 10 -20 times as expensive, not saying this to play big, the guys I hang out with play with The Italian cars, which is 10 times as big as Porches so we all limits
It’s just cars people , you do what you can afford, real life is more important but don’t ever let it demoralize you, Every day you wake up is a good day, if you can pay the bills and put a roof over your head then your doing well and cars are a perk.
I still do detailing so I can finish my car want to say thank you for motivate me to finish the car
I get it too, do I want 400 h.p. yes, but the real world says for me to make a good looking 04 GT a very reliable
2V, is it fast, it okay but sounds good, reliable, looks good, do all the upgrades, repairs myself on what I can
afford if i can't it has too wait.
Very well spoken
Maybe his other1/2 can get a job for parts. If that don't work it's time for either a new career or a better spending budget!
its a life style i hate to say it but , YOU HAVE TO WANT THIS LIFE STYLE TO GET SHIT DONE! if this is the life style you desire than you have to use your inner crackhead energy and hustle its not for the weak , its 2024 there a million ways to make extra money , we have computers in our pockets every day , it legit took me 8 years to be in the position to build my t top notch(i bought it as a high school graduation present to my self in october of 2015, i didnt get to take my first drive in the car until september 2023 and it happened to be on my birthday , because well life happened) , i use to part foxes and sn95s out, ive flipped swap meet parts, got a second job just to buy car parts , and agreed it should come second when it comes to family and daily necessities, .. also to those who think these cars are built over night , they arent most are built over 5,10 or even 20 years , and sometimes the projects need to go on the back burner. for 1 or 5 years , if you have the means to keep the car do so , if you have car buddies but also know a trade they dont , exchange favors, lots of opportunities out there if you look hard enough.
AMEN brother
I can’t throw 3 small items in a LMR cart with out it being over $300 dollars, an it’s never going to get better, they will never come down on prices,
I dont buy from them. Way too pricey
i understand where the guy is coming from.
And I’ll always have work so long as things in the world keep breaking down 😅
The guy is correct. Unless you have a business or RUclips channel you can’t build a nice car much less more than one.
While i can understand what its like to have your foxbody sitting mine has been sitting for over a month now with a crank no start issue i would never blame anyone for my problems im the type of person that im going to figure it out and if i can't ill work extra shifts save money and take it to someone who can
Awesome video.
I agree but he's little jelly..
My 98 gt sat for 20yrs due to my feeling family first.
Its possible to build one on a very tight budget if you just have patiences i found my 90gt roller for 300$ found a good 302 for 100$ and found a guy who sold me a complete t5 will bellhousing clutch flywheel and pressure plate for 500$ he even tossed in a full exhaust system he wasn't going to use along with a used fuel pump i got my car back together all in for under 1000$
He need the look at YT channels, that’s buying 2024 mustangs and installing whipples. I feel where he’s coming from. Great advice Caleb.
Well idk im having fun on a budget with my foxbodys my advice just dont put yourself in positions that u wont be able to enjoy yourself
Gonna be sweet!!!
I've built more mustang foxbodys and gave people parts from my stash then I care to remember..people are Insane thinking these cars are 50 to 60 k cars..it's laughable
I don’t have any sympathy for the dude. Someone, somewhere is always gonna have more. If you can’t do it, you can’t.
Seriously, I'm considering selling my. Just can't afford the game anymore.
to make it clear i assume my last statement i do not know for a fact i do not know caleb like that my last statement may be completely inaccurate
50tussin shows you how to build on a budget
I waited two and a half years to put a clutch in my car, no one cares. Work harder.
