It's hilarious how people say stuff like "they would never pay that" and it's just like you said Caleb it's worth what someone will pay and the cars are getting ever more rare no matter which one of the Fox bodies. I have a triple black 5 speed 93 vert. and yeah I know everyone hates on the verts but when I saw it everything was there all stock, factory mufflers, smog pumps, cats, air silencer boot on the distributor, etc.etc.etc. I didn't want a convertible but when I saw how well it had been cared for compared to some of the others I saw I bought it. I think sometimes people put a don't want to sell it price on it and just to see what happens and then adjusts accordingly. Whenever you sell something the cheap skates always come out of the wood work, I mean who in their right mind wouldn't sell something for as much money as possible? I should’ve added this to the original post. I bought the car 15 years ago and the guy wanted 5500 bucks which was top dollar and a bit but again the car was in really good shape compared to what others I had seen so I gave the guy $250 Deposit came back the next day and got the car. I think people immediately look at the price and then just voice their opinion without even looking to see what shape the car is and if it’s documented or whatever and then just proceed to burn the person to the ground. What I did instead of cutting them off at the knees on the price, I would just come up with some generic reason that I was gonna look at other cars or whatever and not insult the guy. The person selling the car could be sentimentally attached to the car as well making it even harder to part ways with it. Nobody needs added drama and bs to an already difficult decision.

It makes sense to me, and I'm not a big fox body fan, a car like that is a car to be collected. For anyone else you can find a lesser car, for normal money, to build and drive. Even then you should be shopping an sn95 because it's a much better platform to build. Mostly because you would need to add a lot of the fox body weight savings to handle even moderate power levels, so it doesn't bend, and you essentially have to replace the whole too end with all those parts to even get close to that.

The prices have calmed down a little but sorry I don’t think they are going down too much more. The people that are nostalgic about the Foxbody now have disposable income.

@dlrautomotive788 yes I get that but there are way better cars out there for the money. And plus it's such for people that true love the car

@@redefinecycles I agree with you. My dream car is a Mach 4 Supra and the last generation of the RX-7 but I can’t afford one so I got my realistic dream car from my childhood which is a 1990 Coupe. The foxbody are still more affordable than a lot of cool cars from that era.

I hope someday these foxbodies come back down in price before they are all beat to hell. I'm 52 and this was the car to have in high school. I really would love to find a 5 speed that is bone stock.

They're not getting any cheaper man and they aren't gonna get easier to find either. It's just the facts of the matter man it is what it is. The newest fox is over 30 years old now.

@@midnight347nothing I would love more than having a really clean 67 mustang fastback! It's not going to happen though. Things are the way they are.

1957 chevy bel air at 40 yrs old were 10 times the showroom price! That equivalents to a 1985 mustang being $98k? What it sounds like is the foxbody is a good deal considering most come with a/c also? Do the math, oh it's true it's true. I've lived through it....
