Another issue I forgot to mention is front sway bar bracket placement. If you don't put the correct spacers and end links on it you can have problems with your coyote swap. The wrong size end links can have your sway bar actually rub against the hardliners connected to the rack and pinion. You can also mess up you steering geometry if you don't put the correct spacer on. If you have done a coyote swap what issue have you came across other than the motor? Leave it in the comments below!
A quick answer on what sway bar bracket you need is sway bar brackets from a 96-2004 mustang gt and end links. USE YOUR FOX SWAY BAR just use new edge end links and brackets and your good!
Where to tap coolant tensor? Answer: waterneck on top that is sold by pbh. However, the install spot is hard to get to so you have to remove your manifold.. :/
60-70 percent just happen to be clapped out 😂 preach guy
I've got a 90 coupe..gen 2 6r80 f150 motor with a loki tvs and before i even thought about a motor i went ahead and did 31 spline axles..sub frames..rear upper and lowers with the bmr upper enforcement thingy that ties the two sides together..all disc brakes all 4 ..i do have a manual brake set up and I'll be switching that to a hydro boost.. before i had the coyote it had a built 408w and i did the manual brakes cause of the cam vacuum.. yeah with these coyote swaps in fox chassis you definitely want the foundation strong.. but my end goal is 650 675 wheel so I'm not doing the thru the floor stuff.. no cage cause it's a street car/8th mile car..😅
Long live the fox body my brother good save's!
Have you looked into Team Z's mini tub kit? Get some meat under that rear, so you can put the power down. I think you can do that one on your own. You obviously have the skills.
Amazing stuff my man. Simply amazing. 👍🏽😉
I will check it out! Thanks bro!
Good points man. Definitely items I considered when getting my project car as well.
Facts! Thanks for stopping by
Man, great work. I have an 86 SVO that I want to coyote swap. Just not 100 percent sure what exactly I need for k member, brakes....etc
Thanks for the infor.
A lot of good advice and knowledge on Coyote swaps and Foxbodies!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by
I own a 1990 lx 5.0 and a 2011 5.0 i want to keep my foxbody old school sbf but daily driving my 11 5.0 everyday i can't help but wonder what a coyote would feel like in my foxbody 🤔
Nice work brother, im working in my notch back.its not coyote swap. But i wish i had another stang to do one in. Keep doing great content.
Thanks
love what you're doing brother! im currently swapping a 2015 2.3 ecoboost engine into a 1984 mustang SVO
That sounds like a fun setup. What kind of transmission are you running behind it?
I'm running a MT-82 trans with a MGW shifter
That’s terrible that motor is garbage
Truer words have never been said.
Love seeing these Coyote swaps. I just can’t see myself spending 20-30K on a full / complete build.
There is ways to do it for a lot less and I will be uploading videos to cover that. Thanks for stopping by the video
I don't think it usually starts that way. You just wake up and the whole car is apart in your yard. At that point you have a decision to make, your already maybe 6k into the car.
You’re gonna spend close to that with any engine modification. If you rebuild your block or upgrade all your supporting cast will be over $10k. I went this direction per reliability. I was tired of chasing electrical/tuning issues.
Same here that’s why I may as go ls
Forgot header heat soak, Bad grounds for battery and motor are the also huge problems with lots of em once people finish em
Gotta find those 4 cylinder shells the 5.0s are ALWAYS beat to shit. Especially after 30 plus years😂 sweet cars man
Thats a fact! Thanks for stopping by the video
That's why I went after a gently used 5.0 Thunderbird.
Then you paying $30 for insurance since its classified as the 4 cyl engine lol
Amen, i love Foxs but im looking at the s197 chassis for a coyote build now that the wiring harness is being offered.
Thats a good way to go!
Do you take on builds outside of your own? Looking at starting a coyote swap with a Gen1
Yes sir. Hit me up on Instagram or email me
have you considered using a set of 18 ATS 4piston brembo front brakes?
Ive heard of that mod. The cobra brakes work well enough for me tho
Ima foorrrdddd maaann mobbin my old school cus I can
Swigging figure 8s with a blunt in my hand
I have an 89 2.3 notch that I'm starting on . It sat for about 5 years . It looks like you have done many of these . I was going to do a 351 w but I'm wanting to a coyote now . what area of the car should I start on first ? I was thinking ground up all suspension but there are several different brands and styles . should I use stock k member with bolt in mounts , k member ( brand ) coil overs ? whos is best for new sn95 spindles / brakes ?
I would upgrade the rear axle and all suspension. I like the aje kmember
What transmission are you running in the 79? 5 speed? Sounds good.
A built tr3650 from a 2003 mach 1
Looking Sweet! I can hear the Lingo Hooah haha
Right!!
And here on my swaps the problem was beefing up the driveshaft. Well it is the aluminator.
Aluminum driveshaft doesnt work?
Sick Ride Sir.
Thanks!
Ultimate sleeper there.
Even with the scoop hood it still surprises people how fast it is IRL
Man, I would LOVE a Foxbody Coyote! My dream car! I wish I could have one. Owned a GT and Notch years ago. Sold to pay for wedding. Wife said "You DOOOO love me!!!!" Yeah bish, I do. 😒 How much to build me one bro, with only new and upgraded parts where they're truly needed, the rest with junk yard parts? Like if I were to find a roller? Idk bro, I just would love to have one.
"Yeah bish I do" lmfao!
If ypur serious about getting a swap done link up with me in instagram
looks damn good brother but i'm gonna keep my old school 89 5.0 pushrod till it blows up then i'll put a 351w in it. but loved your video brother
Hey Troy Mcgee! I'm with you brother! 351w stroked out with bolt ons.
Ayy rocking a smiley wheel I see! I hunted one down for my 86 not to long ago
Yea man I was happy to see it on the car when I bought it!
Really need to cherry those cars out and would be awesome 👌
Right on thats the plan. The coupe is going into paint soon
@@RocknchopAutoShop who does your paint? I
That’s sick!
Does the edlebrock blower require a cowl hood?
You can get it under a stock hood if you space the kmember down
The power to weight ratio in the Foxbody Mustangs are way off even with the original pushrod engines. I can only imagine what it's like with the Coyote engine
Yea man its tough to get traction in these cars with regular street tires. You at least need drag radials to get them to hook up!
Awesome
What seats are those?
Ebay seats
It's hot 😂
Please don’t paint that car! I love it! Those chrome door handles:)
Taking customers?
I actually am. If you want to get in contact with me go over to my instagram
So did you do the maroon 85 t-top Fox body coyote swap?? Its crazy that I found and sub to a channel that you built another coyote swap the same day lol now that I know what you sold the 85 swapped fox how about 13k and the 86 Saleen clone 😎🔫 hehehehe
I"ll pass
@@RocknchopAutoShop hehehe did you think about if for a spit, tiny, smidgen, of a second im just messin.. But I do like that tan coupe🔥💪
I'll give you 15k for the 79 😂😁 I like the Frankenstein look her!! And ill throw in my 86 Saleen clone!! I'm already ordering parts that my clone is missing like badge 's and stuff to compete the look.. I'll sub and keep an eye out for new that videos. I'll also be posting my progress with my 86 clone and some of the history behind the car seeing that its only a 2 owner fox body! I truly thought the sells man was just talking when he said it was a California car and never seen salt..
Im cool off the clone bro. Thanks for watching
@@RocknchopAutoShop I was kinda joking I truly love my 86 my pushrod engine and its little qwerty finicky self.. And I really like that sound og old 5.0's.. I have no plans at the moment of selling her and my next big purchase for that car will be the on3 turbo kit.. I'm thinking about having Neomustangs put it on for me! They have a RUclips channel if you get into that kinda thing.. They keep it mostly pushrod and budget minded if your not hip to them
@@mmjnice97 right on I'll check them out
If you can’t afford to do it all then don’t do it at all. People spend $15k in engine but don’t want to spend $1k on brakes.
Who the heck puts a coyote engine into a convertible fox never the less a pre 88 vert?
I do. Whats the problem?
Check out my ride on my channel, you think it’s a good candidate for a coyote swap?
Yea looks good!
Must be a damn newbie to foxbody! Shudv known the problems before the swap, batching after the swap, wtf
Definitely not a newbie. Thanks for watching lol

You're a cool person. I like your response to that troll. 👍🏽💪🏽😉
I think it's commendable for him to post up his work, and advise people on the pitfalls of such a project. But, I'm an adult so maybe that's why.
Carry on, son.
I can’t find a good price on a coyote engine at all
Whats a good price?
