I been doing some research on the coyote or LS swap.I was watching another video on the LS swap with turbos and his total was around 11k ...and he had about 670hp to the wheels ...well I have a 15 mustang that I drag race..best time 8.94 @157.5 mph @1000hp...to me a coyote is cheaper when you look at the hp vs money...so yea I believe I'm going with a coyote street fox ....ty buddy..ohh and it's a stock bottom end..lol
Nice. I’ve got a couple buddies that are doing LS swaps right now. The LS platform is a good motor but so is the coyote. I grew up with a foxbody mustang so I’m partial to them. The coyote has been super simple to work on for me. Hopefully that continues. Good luck with your build and thanks for watching
@@crusadergarage298 looking at what you have to put in the LS VS a gen 2 coyote running E85 of course making 1000hp to the wheels...it just makes more sense to me to go with an coyote and I'm also a mustang guy always have been ...my problem is do I swap a fox or a 66 mustang lol
What kind of ls did he use for it to come out at 11k. I’ve seen people do a turbo ls fox for around 5-6k. Around here we can get 5.3’s all day for $300
I'm in the process of doing a swap also on my 1989 gt..I've called around and asked question about where I need to start..Hec I was going to just drop 16,000$ on a T6 Magnum and the gen 3 motor and the wiring...It's a package at LMR...Now I may reconsider and look for a better deal..
There are deals out there to do it cheaper, but will take time to find them. I did not have to buy a transmission so that saved me a good bit of money. And f150 motors are half the price of the mustang motors. Good luck in your search. And thanks for watching.
@@crusadergarage298 thanks brother.. Is there any big difference in the 2 motors...The guy that's doing mine told me to get a 2015 or newer Coyote motor..
Gen2 f150 motors have different cams( firing order is different) less compression 10.5 vs 11 in the mustang. And intake is slightly different. That’s roughly it.
What kind of engine mounts you used. Also did you have to swap the k member, Ali is the k member or cross member swap a simple un bolt and bolt in process
UPR 4.6L solid motor mounts. And yes I had to change the k member to a mod motor k member. And yes the k member unbolts and the new one bolts right in.
What are the real world differences between the 408 windsor and the Coyote? What do you notice between the two power plants? I do not intend on dragging my car to any extent, just like to have the power on tap at the street so I'm not getting picked on all the time.
Honestly the 408 and this coyote motor are similar in power ish, the 408 probably made more power, but the coyote weighs less. I like the coyote better because I paid $2,100 for the motor and I can put 800rwhp to it. And if it blows I will go buy another coyote pull out motor. It doesn't have the torque of the 408,but pulls harder up top then the 408 did. Plus it looks a lot "cooler" in the engine bay than the 408 did IMO.
Hey I don’t know if you’ll reply but I bought a UPR k member for my 91 lx and wondering if I needed different motor mounts for a coyote and what brand, or a different k member?
Is there a way to get this list a different way. The video doesn’t show it long enough and when you screenshot it the letters are to small to see. Thanks
One company I know that does it is foxresto.com There are a couple others I think but not 100% sure. When I’m ready to do mine I will find out. Hope that helps www.foxresto.com/1987-93-Coupe-Quarter-Window-Reman-Service-p/21087012.htm
Or I will just buy those new 1/4 windows I saw yesterday from pictures of the PRI show from Schoneck Composites. They look awesome just a little $$$$$$
Yes kinda. I would not say I tuned it. Just set the parameters in the Holley system and let it learn. Going to take it to the dyno one of these days and really tune it.
I have made small fueling corrections to the tune and some small things but would not say I tuned it. The system does a fantastic job on learning. So far it has been a breeze to install/ tune itself
Thanks for the offer. I have to get these fixed. The car is an original 91 steeda. And in the 1/4 windows is the steeda serial # plus the VIN of the car etched into the glass.
Theres not a single 302 windsor build u can get under or way under $10k that'll handle 700hp+ or the abilty toRev to 8k+ Rpm. This car was built for less than half the price of a Gen 2 mustang and mod for mod will be in front of the newer cars.

Thank you
Thanks
That’s a beautiful car. Giving my self to years. This will be my 30th birthday day .
Looks a lot better in the pictures than it is. Thanks for watching
Well, it’s been 2 years. Did you get it??
Just the video I need to watch! I new someone would put a coyote motor in a fox. I see nothing but Ls motors really. Great video man!
It’s now has a turbo on it.

2,100 for a coyote motor is a great deal. I can’t wait to do one of these in the future
Took me awhile to find one that cheap, but they are out there.
I got mine for $1500 😁
Damn. That’s a killer deal.
What did cams and phasers add to the cost? I bought a complete 14’ f-150 for a donor but will want more power for sure lol
Cams were roughly $300 and phasers I bought from someone off Facebook market place for around $85.
Awesome vids i just found your channl and it has great info keep it up and thx
Thanks for watching.
Zl1 1lE 🔥 true muscle car fan I don’t mind a mustang or a Camaro long as it’s a good v8

America all the way.

Yeah gen2 are stronger than the Gen1’s. And the Gen3’s have port and direct injection. So the better choice is gen2 or 3.

I have a 1989 fox body and I’m trying to get advice if I should build the stock 302 or try to do a f150 coyote swap
I went from a built 408W motor to my coyote. And I’m so glad I did. I have a lot more fun with this car with the coyote.

I used a mod motor K member and 4.6 L solid motor mounts. I don’t believe the regular k member for 302 and 351 will work.
Nice vid man
Thanks. And thanks for watching 👍
thx for the info good video
Thanks for watching.
Could you make ac work with this?
Yes. A lot of guys run AC on their cars

Yeah. Sorry about that. If you go over to my Instagram Crusader Garage I have it on there as well.
