NIce demo, enjoyed the fingerpicking. I have one of these, but mine has a prosys preamp and a torrefied top, which is why mine sounds deep with nice mids, the ovangkol figuring on mine is stunningly beautiful. i compare it to my 50yr old martin d28 and of course it suffers, bur for the money (879 US) it is a hell of a guitar, nothing cheap about it, projects well and sustains a long time. Way more guitar than the price would indicate, which is exactly why i bought it.
Thank you for the kind words! This one also has the Presys pickup, I misspoke in the demo. And I agree, this guitar is fantastic both in looks and sound. I even liked it so much that I ended up being the one buying it, so it's now hanging on my wall at home :)
I often find that these cheap guitars miss Lows and are not well balanced. The tones go all over the place whereas a Martin is much better voiced. Maybe less loud but at the end of the day it is about the voicing of the guitar in my opinion…
Eastman guitars are by NO means "cheap" and are a worthy rival to Martin guitars. It may not be to your tastes, but you're advertising your ignorance by off handedly calling them "these cheap" guitars. Eastmans sell for as much as $7000 for the custom builds.
@@nayanjittilak2584 I bought the E1D=SP last week… nightmare. For sale. True
Cheap Martins are too bass heavy - lack clear highs. This Eastman does not sound good to me. But, I have heard Eastman guitars that do rival standard series Martins.
@@bobaldo2339 I play the SuperD Martin… game over.
@@jasper_north Nice! I played my '58 D-28 for seversl decades. Selling it was one of the dumbest things I ever did.
