Are these deluxe E1ss really Thermo cured. I thought that was the Special E1 ? Deluxe is just a glossier non open pore finish? Or is the top thermo cured?

And your strings will break much earlier than normal because the strings will move over the sharp saddles from the tunomatic bridge ( that is why Gretchs with Bigsby doesn't fixate the bridge so that it can move allong with the subtile movements from the strings ) So you have to put on a roller bridge to prevent detuning and breaking strings. After that have said , I think the guitar sounds poorly bad .

I have one of those, same color, bought it new in 2018, beautiful bass. Babicz is the original bridge for that, they were LI (limited edition).

If I bought this guitar without first trying it, I would be mighty disappointed. Not all Gibson SJ200's are alike. Mine sounds nothing like this one.

I enjoy your demo's, allways well played, with enough variety to give a good representation of what each guitar i capable of (tone wise). J45 is my favorite acoustic, and the 50s one your playing, sounds like what I expect from a good one.

Great video and a great guitar!! Do yourself a solid and listen to southern harmony and musical companion by the black crowes. It's still one of the best southern blues rock albums ever. It was written and recorded in two weeks and is totally inspired from beginning to end. My morning song is in my top 3 songs of all time. It's a great album!!!

I dont think there is really a big Sound difference due to the same Pickups and probably similar hardware and wires. Still I shake my head if someone says they‘re the same, because that isnt true. The Gibson looks better, feels better and nitro feels better than poly. All in all the Gibson is still the way better instrument in my opinion. The last 3-5% is where the epiphone cant get the same. Still the epiphone is a great guitar and probably better than the entry level Gibsons you can bum at the Moment.

SHORT STORY . . Ordered a 50's standard for my birthday (newyears eve) . Gibson shipped a guitar that was a horrific failure , returned and Decided to get factory burst ! i am more than satisfied with my factory burst . .i guess their business model is to sue any and all guitar manufacturers while shipping god awful shit to stooges who fall for headstock envy . .I have 3 great Gibson SG's but have never met a Les Paul they have done right . . . so saved a ton of money and got a much better built guitar that is flawless

He must be using a pretty thin pick which is removing a lot of the bass from the sound. A heavy pick would bring out the low end.

I wouldn't call that butterscotch, just blonde. Also Nocasters started early '51 and renamed Telecaster later '51. Your description of traditional wiring refers only to 50-52, except in 'bridge' position it was bridge pickup with blend, middle position neck only. Late '52 to '67 it was: (1)bridge only + tone, (2)neck only + tone, (3)neck + bass capacitor.

Say what you want about Bigsby - it definitely makes almost every guitar look so much cooler and masculine. 🤔

Thank you! Great playing and a great guitar; struggling whether the E10 OOSS-V or this Eastman sounds best. The action looks low and that E string is kind of buzzy a few times but overall, I think this sounds amazing.

Is the 50 Medium Rounded C neck bigger or smaller than the Epiphone ES 335 Rounded C neck?

I think they should have used Rosewood on the fretboard of the Epiphone and prioritised its installation over using mother of pearl as fretboard markers.

From the pic on Reverb of that chip it looks like this is not a proper nitro finish but nitro over poly... This will not "age well" as claimed here.
