Thanks Tongman for your guidance! I am using your video for the second time to remove my front seats--Lost a VERY IMPORTANT piece of jewelry and I know my car swallowed it! And I used your video awhile ago when placing new seat covers on and had to remove my backseat so THANKS! You made it awesome and easy!
Thank you for the video! Super fun to learn and not waste money getting my seatbelt released. For any other newbs you may be able to do it with a 3 inch extension, but 6 was much easier. I did not need the long heads. I swear 10mm fit the bolt more snugly, but I have 2006 EX 2 door so maybe that’s different. 11mm worked and I didn’t want to retest it. Thanks again, great video. Headlamp would help, cell phone kinda worked.
If your seats are out and your plugs are unplugged, your airbag light will remain on forever until you reconnect your airbag plugs. Unless you get into the dash and remove the airbag light.
Thank you for making this video, very helpful. Feel more confident removing my interior later on after work. I'm going to Willow Spring race track next weekend
My trunk is jammed can’t get in. I watched this hoping it would show how to remove back seat with out opening trunk and pulling inside trunk release . Is there anyway possible ?
I have a question! Is it legal to drive around with rear seats removed? Can you pass the inspection? I want to buy an SUV or a minivan and turn it into a camping car (live in it). Who knows?
Hey buddy. This is an awesome video. I could use this info to remove the back seats to get to the seatbelt for the driver side. It locks to the point where I can't move about the cabin. Do you have to remove the back seats completely or just the bottom part to remove the plastic covering the seat belt mechanism? Thanks.
+TheTongMan Regarding the passenger (front seat), Is it possible to remove the back support only & leave the actual seat untouched. It would save me the hassle of unscrewing bolts & unplugging the airbag. I need to carry something long in the car, but don't actually need the whole seat removed (only half of of it, the back support).
Is it true that once you remove the seat and unclip the airbag sensors (and keep it unplugged), none of the airbags will work in the event of an accident?
Help. What do you do if your trunk latch is not opening trunk and the only way to fold seat down is to open trunk can you take back seat down without opening trunk?????? Trying to avoid taking it to the dealer
I have a 2007 Si coupe and my trunk latch isn't working, neither will the button on my key to pop the trunk. Since the only way to fold the seats down is from inside the trunk I thought it seemed useful to take the seats out. I followed your instruction for taking the bottom cushions out but wondering if you have any suggestions for removing/finding a way to fold down the back cushions? I removed parts of the plastic trim hoping I could get at the seat pivot point or to get to the lever through the speaker hole but am not optimistic this will work especially with a high likelihood of breaking the flimsy plastic trim. Hoping you can help, thanks man!
I'm fairly certain there is a key slot on the rear deck in the back underneath a plastic folding cover that will allow you to put the car key into and manually unlock and fold down the rear seats. Not sure why you can't unlock the trunk with the key itself by turning it in the tumblers.
Hey man. How much does the front seat weigh? I have my rear seats + spare out. Is it worth taking out the front??? Btw if i disconnect my neg battery terminal will it fuck with the Flashpro tune?
the front seats are very heavy, but I do not know the exact weight since I can't weigh them. it is definitely worth taking the front passenger seat out if you want to save weight. your flashpro tune will remain even if you disconnect and reconnect your battery
the rear seats are mostly just foam padding. the front passenger seat is where you would save the most weight. I would weigh it for you guys, but all I have is a bathroom weighing machine, which is too small to put the seat on.
+TheTongMan does the air bag light stay on? Did you loose any air bags in a event of accident? Sorry for all these questions it's just I just got bucket seat and I wanted to make sure.
If you had to guess how much weight in total would you say you removed? Also I see the front seat looks heavy but is the back really that heavy? Also how much would this help in the 1/4? I ran 14.3@98 mph with. 2.245 60'foot. Would it get me in the 14.0 range?
Honestly all he removed was maybe 40 or 50 lbs. Lol, i would love to see a track slip from before an after proving there was any noticable gains from this, but I'm guessing there won't be, notice how he didn't give any actual specs, there's really no point in doing this, you'd be way better off getting a hondata flashpro or some other tuning equipment if you really want to see any improvement, sorry , im just keepin it real
Broo, you skipped the 1st clip part. That yellow and black one. It was removed without you showing how to. And that’s the one i’m having trouble with 😑
Thanks man...i figured it was pretty easy to take the back seats out but that ONE bolt would have been a bitch to locate and no one figures just one bolt would hold it in...so i would have been looking for a 2nd one..:)
wish mine was brand new and super shiny with skunk gear like that one.. $$$$$$$ buying used cars is hard to make super nice again.. (buying other peoples problems) bad news is... i saw the only way to get the seat out was to go through my trunk that is stuck CLOSED.... freaking Honda trunk latches...

Thank you for making this video, very helpful. Feel more confident removing my interior later on after work. I'm going to Willow Spring race track next weekend
thanks for this, is helpful to see someone else do it first
Very informative video !! i wonder how much weight you would lost from the passenger and rear seats removed...
One of the cleanest Si I ever seen, great video 🤟🏽
Do you ever have any issues with your seat depressing when you sit on it? Like rocking and movement ?
14:34 What is underneath that circular piece of metal there in the center? Can I remove that and the metal bar going across it to save weight?
how did u fold the rear seats down? my trunk is jammed so i have no access to opening it from the trunk?
My trunk is jammed can’t get in. I watched this hoping it would show how to remove back seat with out opening trunk and pulling inside trunk release . Is there anyway possible ?

I want to buy an SUV or a minivan and turn it into a camping car (live in it). Who knows?
Check your state and local laws. Might not pass inspection that way but you wouldn't be pulled over for it

Do you have to remove the back seats completely or just the bottom part to remove the plastic covering the seat belt mechanism? Thanks.
If I want to keep the front passenger seat out. Do I have to do anything before reconnecting the battery?
Any info on how to replace a rear driver side seat belt buckle on a 2006 civic? Thanks
The airbags don't pop if you unplug when the key is out of the ignition.
They don't pop, but you'll have a permanent air bag light. Ask me how I know.
@@john-paulchase4882 I wish I had known that before I unplugged
how much weight is all that take out the car?
For every seat you take out of your Honda, you add an additional 50 HP cuz of weight reduction.
Thanks for the tutorial...I think I'll do this for my next autocross event...every little bit helps right
Is it true that once you remove the seat and unclip the airbag sensors (and keep it unplugged), none of the airbags will work in the event of an accident?
That engine looks clean, i like it.
How much height clearance would you say is underneath the front seats? I want to install an amp underneath but I’m not sure if it’ll fit l
Can you remove the trunk carpet by just folding the rear seat down or have to remove rear setbacks
Same process for removing the driver's seat?
My old 04 civic seats didn't have airbags but this new ones do. Is the installation the same or the airbags won't work ?
real knowledgeable. Good Video. Wish lighting and focus on parts of the video was better.

Great video! Very helpful! Awesome FG2 by the way!

Thank you for posting!
Do you know if it's the same way to take off ep3 seats
This is a great video! Once you took out the Passenger seat do you still have to connect air bag clips? Or can they remain just hanging?
you can leave them hanging
+TheTongMan does the air bag light stay on? Did you loose any air bags in a event of accident? Sorry for all these questions it's just I just got bucket seat and I wanted to make sure.
You can just zip tie the wires to the metal parts of the bottom of the seats if you break the clips.
If the airbag light is on, the airbags in the system will not deploy in the event of a crash. Not just the airbag the fault is on, but all of them.
Oh shit seriously?!
To re-install the front seats should I disconnect the battery first then reinsert clips or don't bother disconnecting battery to reinstall? Thanks
Definitely disconnect and keep disconnected until the seats are in completely
My car is lowered on HFP stuts and Eibach Prokit springs.
How is the ride with that set up?
How do I take off the seat belt plastic cover off, I don't want to just yank it off, don't want break the clips off.

The passenger seat rear bolt covers don't come loose easy like in this video. They don't want to come off and I don't want to ruin them.
How do I take off a back dash from 2007 si

+TheTongMan if I buy 06 civic si rear seats for coupes , would it fit for my 06 civic sedan?
No I don't think so

+Teggy Boy no you do not need to
TheTongMan thanks bro
Will the seatbelts from a 4 door civic fit on the coupe?

Great tutorial thank you so much
Do you know if the rails match up to a DC2?
rails won't match up. you will need aftermarket universal rails to make it work.
How do you fold the rear seat down TheTongMan
