- Corbeau? More like Cor-woah! AM I RIGHT?! In today's video, the Honda Civic Project gets a HUGE seat upgrade with the Corbeau RRX Sportline Seats. I show you how to install these seats in a Honda Civic and give you my first driving impressions! Let's GO!
In my previous video, I unboxed these beauties and gave you guys an in-depth look at these aftermarket seats. After touching them for far too long, it's time to get them installed. Generally, 90's Hondas are extremely easy to swap seats into with the right brackets. Fabbing up seat brackets is tricky with a lot to risk if not done right. Fortunately, I got the specified seat brackets for my car to make it as easy as pie. This is a direct plug and play setup WITH a spot for the seat belt buckle. So you can utilize your normal OEM seat belt, or install an aftermarket harness.
Installing the aftermarket seats into the Civic took no more than an hour with time to spare to vacuum things up. Remember to use loctite on any screw that is used to install the seat! I found that these seats are a PERFECT fit into an Ek Honda Civic with the ability to run the OEM armrest. YES! The door cards clear by a few inches and these are obviously reclinable to nap in.
So what do I think? These are hands down one of my favorite mods for the Civic so far. I would say it's a tie between these and the S2000 steering wheel. These absolutely change the driving experience and offer a MUCH more planted feel in the turns. These seats sit roughly 2-3 inches lower than the oem seats and have extremely aggressive thigh bolsters. Getting in and out of the car is a bit of a process, but worth it once you're in! For reference, I'm 6"1 with plenty of head room but I DO have the sliders maxed out to the furthest position. If you're taller than me, you may need to modify the brackets. Overall, the build quality, the comfort, and the experience is fantastic.

More motivation for my EM2! In two weeks I'll be buying my EV-10 gloss black rims and a fresh set of summer tires, and I'm still waiting on buddy to be finished stitching up the leather on the RSX seats I'm gonna buy and swap in! Rust repair is finished!

I purchased some similar seats like that from ebay for 250 early in 2020 when I purchased them and some ebay seat rails for 60 and everything fits and looks great.. they hug you nicely when driving.. for the price I paid for the set I am very please.. they look exactly like those on this car..

Nice! Those seats looks good on that car. Btw, you thought about installing the factory accessory fog lights? I remember when my uncle had his Si new, that was his first mod, along with the rear deck spoiler and I thought it looked better with it on.

GSR OR TYPE R would be dope. But a b16 would be a more fitting choice being that this car is more of a EM1 tribute. ALL I know is the engine it currently has needs to go. LoL. 🤙
This is also supposed to be a nice clean budget build and gsr and type r swaps are not at all budget parts

I just recently purchased an '11 Civic Si in near mint condition, and I did the same thing on wondering how to get out the car without wearing the seats lol. Seats are nice though!!

Any advice for me, I recently purchased a 2000 civic 4 door with 200k miles. Looks still brand new and the paint is oem still very clean but I want to get black things for the inside but the color is like a brown, will switching to black make the car look weird?
