Hi Nichol, Terri Whisler here, thanks so much for this tutorial. I need to stitch both pieces you displayed here and I am going to use your finish…so cute. I agree, please show more finishes. Thanks for sharing your time with us!
Excellent tutorial. I was planning on making cards with my small stitches, but now I might try to make them into ornaments. Thanks for the excellent tutorial. Especially the bow. Now off to Amazon to buy those beads...
Thanks for doing it in real time. It was great to watch the bow being remade and seeing the differences with each. The ornament is beautiful. Thanks, great tutorial.
Thank you Nichol for showing how to finish an ornament. That was so helpful. I will be trying to finish my first ornament this week. I can only hope it comes out as nice as yours.
OMG...awesome video. I love that bow too. Thank you so much for showing us how to do ALL things, which I know I definitely appreciate. And yes, other finishing ideas would be wonderful! You are amazing, as always. Thank you again. Look forward to your next video!
Love these, almost makes me want to learn to cross stitch.Notice I said almost, I’m sure in time you will convince me to try 😊 thank you for the wonderful bow lesson.
So excited to have your video pop up This was such a great tutorial I'm still working on stitching for gifts (2 down 2 to go working on Cherry Hills Cup of Cheer) The ornaments I'm stitching (4 done 7 to go) is Primrose cottage Religious Trio They will not work for rounds I have 3 finished and already gifted. I stitched the Merry last month one night when I was out my TV/Dinner night with a close friend so that may be a gift By the way I have been looking at every Walmart, Joannes, Michaels and Hobby Lobby for red rick rack I did find a really light ivory
This was a great tutorial. I love both ornaments and those decorative beads really look cute. Are they wooden or plastic? Silicone finger covers is the answer to not burning your fingers with hot glue. I actually got mine at Dollar Tree. You can push down on the glue as much as you want and no burnt fingers. I’ve also used a small silicone spatula to hold things down with hot glue. I started several cross-stitch Christmas images to make into ornaments and they’re still unfinished. I’m so bad at that, not finishing projects. You should see how many I have. Some are from 10+ yrs. ago. I keep saying one of these days. Lol
Thank you for this tutorial!!! I really needed all these details. And the bow!!! I will probably be re-watching that part many times till I get it right!!
Ahhh! I’ve never seen that bow-making technique. Love it! Can’t wait to make this. It will be my first stitchy ornament. Yes to more finishing tutorials and ideas!
I’ve never seen bows made this way before. So cute! I can’t wait to try it. I also learned from your circle tutorial. I need to hear things from a few different people over and over for things to sink in. I’d love to see more tutorials. And more of the felt ones too. I’ve bought some supplies, but I haven’t had ties to do them yet.
Thanks for sharing this, I’ve been wondering about finishing round projects. I’m a messy glue gun user for sure, so I sympathize!! Such a cute bow and adorable projects. 😊
This was awesome, thank you so much!!! Maybe a helpful tip: when hot glueing, my mom used to use a butter knife from the silverware drawer to hold the material down so she didn't burn her fingers :) I love watching you finish your pieces! Now I want to make ornaments like these!!!! ♡♡ I'm off to buy some more Shannon Christine patterns ;)
Thank you for demonstrating how to do a circle ornament. I feel bad you had to go through those mishaps, but you know, if you were doing that all alone, it would of went smoothly. You are a gem. We love you for all that you do.
Love all of your videos…so glad you share some many of your talents! Great tutorial and awesome bow making tutorial! Would love to see more finishing videos!
Really good tutorial Nichol! Clear easy steps and tips are so appreciated. I really love the Shannon Christine Gingerbread, wish it wasn't just on Facebook to download. Maybe someday.
Love this tutorial, thank you Nichol! I love stitching on paper (I do a lot with the cross stitch bookmark from MFT) and this is something I would love to do throughout the new year!
Great tutorial on round finishing and I loved the bow tutorial! Thank you so much for doing this! I printed that little house design but must have misplaced it in all my other Christmas ornament charts ! I just reprinted it and will kit it up so I can stitch it over the weekend!
I really enjoy your tutorials. When I am gathering and lacing I use thick thread or even leftover crochet cotton of my grandmother’s so I don’t waste my floss. So do you ever consider making the second circle of batting a bit smaller so there is poof but not thickness at the edges?
Thanks for sharing! Just tried the bow. Took me a few times…my fingers didn’t want to cooperate. Love the ornament and the bow. I don’t cross stitch, but I’m thinking I might be able to use an embroidery pattern. Do you happen to have any? Thanks
This is beautiful. Can you tell me where I can get some of these small charts? I'm new to cross stitch but love the idea of making some ornament that will be passed down in the family. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and expertise. X
I have been collecting the small charts whenever I find them and keep them in a folder for when the mood strikes to stitch them. The link for the Merry stitch in this video is in the description and the Gingerbread man/cup is from the designer's FB page: facebook.com/groups/ShannonWasilieff
Awesome!! I'm not a finisher but you make me feel like I could actually finish something! Maybe a small ornament but You have to start somewhere right? 😁

So cute! I’m really into ornaments and minis too. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has difficulty with hot glue. Lol
Awesome tutorial,so helpful. And your finishes turned out stunning💗💗 need to stitch all the things so i can make some ornaments myself 😂

What a cute finish! Saved this specifically for the bow tutorial. Yes, please show more finishes.
Thank you! I must say I love my smaller tipped glue gun as it takes a lot to get a big glob of glue and helps my trim go on neater.
Thank you for demonstrating how to do a circle ornament. I feel bad you had to go through those mishaps, but you know, if you were doing that all alone, it would of went smoothly. You are a gem. We love you for all that you do.

Thanks for sharing! Just tried the bow. Took me a few times…my fingers didn’t want to cooperate. Love the ornament and the bow. I don’t cross stitch, but I’m thinking I might be able to use an embroidery pattern. Do you happen to have any? Thanks
Love this!! What grit do you use for your sandpaper?
This is beautiful. Can you tell me where I can get some of these small charts? I'm new to cross stitch but love the idea of making some ornament that will be passed down in the family. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and expertise. X

Awesome video - thank you!! QUESTION: How do you iron your stitched piece? Do you use steam, a pressing cloth, temperature of iron, etc
I used a hot iron, no steam, iron it upside down with the stitched side touching this pressing cloth: shrsl.com/3twcu
Awesome!! I'm not a finisher but you make me feel like I could actually finish something! Maybe a small ornament but You have to start somewhere right? 😁
Does your die machine let material cut? Could have used a round die. Love this idea. How fun.
It does. I didn't want to take the time to find a die to cut it. ;)
Very nice
Adorable! Is the free pattern still available?
Such a fun tutorial...love the bow! Where can I find the pattern for the gingerbread man with the coffee cup. Thank you
Nichol mentioned the pattern in her FlossTube #25 video from 12/5
