*It's great to know that we don't have to give up refreshing drinks while following a keto diet. Your recipe and tips make it easy to create a delicious and guilt-free iced tea* 😊
I'm a 🍋 freak, so either one w lemons sounds so refreshing! I moved to the South in the states n a lot of people like it overly sugary, diabetic style, hence it's called Sweet Tea. Yours are way more flavorful n healthy. 😋 I have frozen fruit, so I'm gonna get busy. Thanks for the recipes!
Sweet tea is easy to do in keto, especially with 1:1 sweeteners. I make mine a quart at a time, with orange pekoe tea, 1/2 cup 1:1, and about half a lemon depending on tartness. I don't add zest, though.... Think lemonade made with tea instead of water. People who don't lemon their sweet tea are doing it wrong. That's disgusting. Sweet tea without lemon only needs a tablespoon or so of sweetener to a quart.
@@kivakarmen8628 Laughing with you. Actually sweet tea has gotten sweeter over the years as people crave more and more sugar. But if you are a good Southern cook, making a good sweet tea is part of your home training along with fried chicken, corn bread, vegetables cooked from the garden, pies and cakes. My aunt, who is 85, makes a sweet tea that is very flavorful but sweet. I go for her unsweetened tea which she makes for me when I am visiting.
Is it Ice Tea or Iced Tea? The answer is YES. Perfect timing of this video, I happen to have a big bag of frozen blueberries that are screaming to be used. YUMMO. My garden is overflowing with cucumbers, so I have been making cucumber, mint, lime water and I really should try making one of yours. Deepti looked so cute when she tried each flavor. You two are a perfect match. Btw, peach ice tea is a thing and it is super yummy (although most people over sweeten it). HUGS
I worked with multiple doctors from India and none of them would drink iced liquids only warm. They felt it was bad for you. I however will be trying all three of your drinks.
I often use my french press for tea, iced tea this time of year. Made mint yesterday(I was pruning it from the yard). My go to is usually hibiscus(loose flowers). I've added green tea bags or nettle leaf but the hibiscus masks most flavors. I like the tart flavor.
@@CursedWheelieBin If that was being rude, why? Because I have a french press? The rest is all pretty cheap here. Mint free, hibiscus $3 for large bag and nettle was from local farm last year that I dried(also free).
Thanks for this refreshingly different recipe video. And it's ICED tea. ICE tea would be ice cubes made from tea. Which is something people do so the flavor of their iced tea doesn't get watered down by the ice cubes.
Here in Canada we just call it Ice Tea, l like to put it in a empty water bottle 3/4's full and tilt it in the freezer to freeze and on a hot day it keeps cold as it melts.
I too am boring, but instead of black coffee I drink plain black tea haha. I definitely want to try the blueberry one out though, I have frozen wild blueberries that are so tasty in smoothies already!
It is "Iced Tea" in the area of the American south and the eastern coast of the US where I live and have lived in the past. I use frozen berries also for tea and for adding to regular water. The large frozen strawberries are nice to use as ice cubes.
Oh I wished u lived here !!! I love all of these. I wonder if chai tea would be good cold. I always drink it hot. Thx for posting !! I wanna try the blueberry.:)
Hey Tracy so CHAI means TEA so when you say chai tea it means TEA TEA. 🙂 But if you talking about general cold tea I can't imagine it tasting good but give it a try and if it tastes bad just warm it up.
I'm off to make the lemon ginger tea right now! These are so easy to make, so tasty & refreshing yet I haven't thought about making them. Thanks Sahil, another perfect video for refreshments 😁. Will get some mint & blueberries at the market 😊
It's ICED tea. As in tea that you ice (as a verb). ICE tea, (as a noun) would be tea made of ice, which is water, which is not tea! Thank you for the delicious and easy recipes!
Leave out the mint and ginger and the teas look great! You have given me ideas of making my own fruit flavored black iced teas. If your wife’s name is Dipti, then it is the same as a friend of mine in college. I also like peach iced tea. I use both iced and ice interchangeably, maybe it is more singular vs plural?
Black tea Tannins block the absorption of some B Vitamins. Don't drink it if you have anxiety, sleep issues, or depression. Green Tea doesn't have this problem. -These look delicious though. My favorite tea is a Turmeric, Ginger, and Chamomile blend.
My plain ol' boring no calorie iced tea recipe: you need a gallon pitcher and gallon sized tea bag. Boil 4 cups of water and pour over tea bag for 5 minutes. Remove tea bag and fill pitcher 1/2 full of water. Add 1 cup of sucralose or the equivalent of your favorite lo/no calorie sweetener. Stir. Add 3 ice cube trays and stir until ice cubes are gone or nearly gone. Add enough water to top off your gallon. One more quick stir stir and you're done. You can drink right away since you added ice and it will already be fairly cold, or put in the fridge for a few hours to chill completely. Sometimes I can drink a gallon of this a day during hot weather months. I'm not sure if this is considered "fresh brewed" or "tea concentrate" or maybe somewhere in the middle. This is my go to recipe and I have been doing it like this for over 10 years. Simple and tastes great (to me!).
Uh... tue blueberry surprised me... never thought of this 😳🤦🏼♀️ I'm defenitly going to taste this tomorrow since I have a whole kilo of blueberrys in my fridge 🤤🤤 If this is as good as it looks I'm going to the blueberryfield next town and pick a lot more 🤤🤤🤤
When you write it, it is "iced tea," but because it is difficult to pronounce the d on the end with that particular letter combination, when you say it, it usually comes out "ice tea."
Great video for Iced Tea ideas! Question - did you film this over 3 different days, or was your wife wanting to be creative and changed into different outfits for each tea taste test? I love her sense of humor and being "punny"!
Has anyone tried fig leaf tea?I am presently making it from fresh leaves. It has a very delicious coconut flavor. Said to be healthy for several things including blood glucose control.
I've been wondering if herbal tea is keto friendly. I have an Apple cinnamon one that tastes very sweet. There are no carbs listed on the box. Please let us know if you get anymore I formation about those boxes herbal teas.
Today's apples are naturally sweet. I find herbal tea with apples too sweet for me. But if you make tea and put in some apple slices on the sourer range, like Granny Smith, it actually will taste like the apples. Then you can sweeten to taste.
@@rikwen96 auto correct got me good and took out the word keto. I agree that the boxes Apple tea is sweet, and so are many others. I like that I don't need to add sugar, however there must be carbs and maybe calories hiding in there.
@@MsCashKelly Unfortunately, there are carbs in herbal tea. I know fruits and probably herbs have sugar alcohol in them, usually sorbitol or mannitol. Since they occur naturally, manufacturers don't need to put them on the label. The question would be are you sensitive to these sugar alcohols, e.g. do they affect your gut and how much of the herbal tea are you drinking? I would hazard a guess that if you are not drinking quarts of tea a day, you are fine. The only ones who would be affected would be the ones who are sensitive to the sugar alcohols and have gastric issues or who are diabetic and have to watch their sugar alcohol intake as it throws off their insulin.
Well in the USA, it's definitely Ice Tea, not Iced tea. When ordering tea in any restaurant, you would say Ice Tea. Grammatically it doesn't really matter. It's simply called Ice Tea, period!
Love your wife! The faces she makes cracks me up! I definitely am going to try these! Thanks for these awesome recipes!!
