thank you so much, correction is minimal as I make sure my white balance and exposure is as accurate a possible when filming. When shooting outdoors auto WB will do a great job and then for the exposure I make sure I'm around -0.3 to -0.7 or around there: ruclips.net/video/qC1us6ENvuQ/видео.html You'll see the exposure settings in that video
You're going to change the game with this. I've never seen someone be so confident in their luts as so far as to give an exposure test and how-to- expose their footage using your luts. I'm buying and testing these out.

There is an iso to respect like the S-log 3 the native iOS on the a7iv is 800 iso in the middle of the day and in the evening it is 3200 iso. And I adjust my white balance well in the middle of the day on 5600k and in the evening it will depend if I have a continuous white light if it is the case it is 5600k also I think I adjust according to the brightness and you also say that I must respect the exposure between 0.0 and -1.3 could you tell me all his thanks

Thank you for the purchase. I shoot in 4K all-intra mode (ALL-I). For slow motion, 50p (500mbps) and for standard motion 25p (250mbps). Files are pretty big though so be prepared.
Hey Kayode! Love the content. I have an FX3 and purchased the lut pack but it doesn't seem to like Premier Pro. When you try to increase the intensity of the lut everything goes black. Do you use Divinci primarily?
i have sony A7siii i follow all steps i try to shoot in 4k 10bit i just do a little bit Adj like White balance/Exp and i add your lut pack that i buy the result is so nice it work
Will definitely be trying this.. and will cop the luts when released!. But your skill set is just a cut above..so the luts might bring us a step closer but 99% of us will still be miles off. Quick questions..does gamma assist work on the k-Lut settings..I assume it does

You can use Gamma assist but I'd be just abit cautious with it, it would give you a near enough good looking image to help you nail the right exposure using the SLOG3-to-709 (800%) setting but it may come out an inch underexposed, which to be honest is easier to work with than an overexposed shot

Amazing. Never seen anyone do this and do it so well. Subscribed. I shoot a lot of real estate so I’m not sure if I’d like my colors to look so stylized like this, but for people shots this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve spent many many many many hours looking at all kinds of color grading videos looking for the commercial looks and this comes really close.
@@sawyer081290 I never really used it because on the a7iv/a7rV you can't add a custom input lut. That made the preview lut look terrible straight out of camera. Showing clients a very flat looking preview was terrible. I might try again with the a6700 because it has input luts. Wasn't worth the hassle of only using these if you have a monitor attached for an input lut with other cameras. More of Sony's fault than Kayode's. I also don't think I saw an instructional video from him for how to actually grade it like he does, but it took a lot of work just to get it to look decent. I'd love to use them though.

indoor varies dependant on ambient lifght, for outdoors anywhere between 5400-5700 will work so long as it's not golden hour, but the mint-julep LUT can fix overly warm footage.

Heya, so it’ll still work but you want have as much room to adjust after applying the LUTs as you would do on 10bit footage. Does your card not allow you to shoot 10bit?

I know you’ve show exposure examples, but do you use any tools (Zebras etc) to determine your exposure settings? And also is this compatible in Davinci resolve?
sorry for the delayed response, I personally don't use zebras as I can expose with the naked eye from experience. Just keep an eye on the highlights and make sure they don't blow out. Also compatible with Davinci :)

Hey there, thank you for the kind words! It’s meant a lot to me. Yeah these will also work with the ZVE10. But the LUTs won’t work as easy on SLOG without some experience in grading

Hi Kayode. What is the native ISO for the K-LOG? I've been using your luts for awhile. The colors are beautiful but I noticed some noise in the dark regions. What should I do to avoid the noise?
@@i_am_kayode Yeah forsure! I use standard as a base and like how the yellows and reds are pushed a tad towards orange (warm). I will test neutral now! Skin tones are KEY!

This is the most up to date version. But it depends on which LUT is purchased. Legacy LUT will only work with the A7iii and older cameras and that’ll be the other video to have the settings

As soon as I got my A7Siii I dialled in my own settings and never really looked back since. Tried SLOG3 a few times but never really took to it, it’s not bad…just not for me
I wonder how much "better" your grades would be with S-Log 3 since you would most definitely get more dynamic range no doubt. But again, your stuff looks great any how.
Do you know the base iso or dual base iso for this profile. I’ve been using S log three at 12,800 and it is so much noise/grain that it’s hard to get a clean image even if I do overexpose for it, so I’m wondering if this profile could work better for me I do a lot of low light club videography
I would love to try out your Luts but the issue is all the new Sony cameras can have a lit to preview your footage when not using a picture profile or a slog 3you can’t preview a lot so it’s a little hard to see in camera

@@davon2623 no probs at all, exposure for the skin and you should be good, but it mainly depends on the mood you wanna give. I’d suggest applying the mint julep light for that kinda job. LOG can be referred to anything that gives a flat look or gives wide dynamic and tonal range. The SLOG profiles are nice but what I’ve made here works better than SLOG for me (K-LOG)
I personally use custom white balance, you can use auto though but be mindful of things like trees which can shift the colour due to the camera getting confused at what’s it’s reading. If you’re outdoor stick between 5200 and 5600.
Are these examples color graded or simply converted to the 709 look? They seem to have a warm/green tint to them and I wasn't sure if that's stylistic or the LUT.
@@wildfernweddings4187 no conversion LUT, just the LUTs to bring it up to each style. I’ve tested it against SLOG3 and I personally find it has a more pleasing look.

Hi Kayode. What is the native ISO for the K-LOG? I've been using your luts for awhile. The colors are beautiful but I noticed some noise in the dark regions. What should I do to avoid the noise?
Because my K-LOG works on 'no profile' but instead the creative style options it'll be ISO 100 and ISO 500

PP Off > SLOG3 in my opinion
@@i_am_kayode Yeah forsure! I use standard as a base and like how the yellows and reds are pushed a tad towards orange (warm). I will test neutral now! Skin tones are KEY!

I personally don't use zebras, I've gotten so used to exposing by eye so I've never felt the need, but if it help then definitely use them 🙌

In this video is settings -9 -4 +9 0 -9 0 0, but in the email is another video,and there is on your A7SIIIsettings -9 0 0 0 -9 0 0. So which settings i have to use.This is a newer video. This is the most up to date version. But it depends on which LUT is purchased. Legacy LUT will only work with the A7iii and older cameras and that’ll be the other video to have the settings

Heya you can use SLOG Cone EI but this works best with my custom profile. I’ve seen amazing results from both 🙏🏿

Hi. I've just purchased the Magna LUT's pack, but i couldn't find the Kaylut V2 I only saw V1. Is it the same or is it that the V1 is actually V2?
There isn’t a V2, the settings used are the V2 settings in this video

MM 0.0 or -1.0. Check the timestamps, you'll see it towards the end of the video and also around the middle

As soon as I got my A7Siii I dialled in my own settings and never really looked back since. Tried SLOG3 a few times but never really took to it, it’s not bad…just not for me

Do you know the base iso or dual base iso for this profile. I’ve been using S log three at 12,800 and it is so much noise/grain that it’s hard to get a clean image even if I do overexpose for it, so I’m wondering if this profile could work better for me I do a lot of low light club videography
You’re safe to push the ISO to 12800 here. But I personally never go past 800

I would love to try out your Luts but the issue is all the new Sony cameras can have a lit to preview your footage when not using a picture profile or a slog 3you can’t preview a lot so it’s a little hard to see in camera

It depends on the camera, but I’d avoid going past 12800 similarly to SLOG3

I am thinking of using K Log for an upcoming music video this weekend over SLOG 3 as it appears easier to deal with but I’d love to know the limitations for sure. Not that I should put myself in these situations and make sure I have enough lights lol but I’m a run an gun cinematographer and this would be useful information for sure! @@davon2623 no probs at all, exposure for the skin and you should be good, but it mainly depends on the mood you wanna give. I’d suggest applying the mint julep light for that kinda job. LOG can be referred to anything that gives a flat look or gives wide dynamic and tonal range. The SLOG profiles are nice but what I’ve made here works better than SLOG for me (K-LOG)
What white balance do you recommend?
I personally use custom white balance, you can use auto though but be mindful of things like trees which can shift the colour due to the camera getting confused at what’s it’s reading. If you’re outdoor stick between 5200 and 5600.

Are these examples color graded or simply converted to the 709 look? They seem to have a warm/green tint to them and I wasn't sure if that's stylistic or the LUT.

@@wildfernweddings4187 no conversion LUT, just the LUTs to bring it up to each style. I’ve tested it against SLOG3 and I personally find it has a more pleasing look.
