jezus christ you guys are so negative. I think its great that he puts all this time and effort into making this for us. And its also very clear for me as beginner. thanks a lot!
As a flamenco guitarist i came here just to see what chords, and seeing all the beginners in the comments giving up, ckon guys give it time practice, its never easy at first
I just started playing guitar this week. so this video is slightly above my skill level, but i think its still a good video to practice off of for chord transition practice if nothing else. I usually practice by playing different songs every day just to practice a variety of chord transitions. Not really to be able to play an entire song because i know i am not there yet with my progression, but working on transitioning chords faster every day will get me to where I wanna be and Ill one day be comfortable enough to transition chords to play a full song.
This is awesome! I prefer it to the versions on ultimate guitar. It is a little to deep to sing for me, but I will try to move the capo up a fret. Thank you so much!
I have been trying to learn this song for awhile now and you are the only one that actually makes sence so thank you so much for the video it's made my life so much easier HEHE!!!
Your tutorials are the best so far and helps me A LOT! Just one thing I noticed on this video which confuses me. The verses in your video... they are incorrect. The Verses 1 and 2 have the same text. Verse 1 starts with " Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it" and Verse 2 starts with " Well open up your mind and see like me" When I sing and play the guitar at the same time, it seems that the strumming is off. But just playing without singing, it seems perfect. I dont know, please I need some clarifications.
Great tutorial for the guitar part on this tune! Would be cool to hear you sing and play it too at the end!.. But again nice job breaking down the guitar part! Thank you!
Dont mind me I'm just taking notes Sir Construction of the song: V1, C1, V2, C2, BRIDGE, V3, C3, OUTRO Verse 1 + Chorus 1 + Verse 3 = GDEmC DDUU Verse 2 + Chorus 2 + Outro= DU Bridge =
for anyone wondering how to play it without cappo. play the bar chords B D#m G#m C#m in the same rythm. tell me if I missed any of the chord names as I just figured the bar chords out of my head.
Can I play the verse, outro, chorus chord pattern for the whole song? I’m a beginner and I don’t think I can do that whole song with all those chord patterns to memorize.
Yes - this is hard to see in the video, and it's tricky to learn at first, although it's actually simple. With what he calls "palm mute," he is strumming the strings - however - the lower part of his strumming hand, his palm, is touching all the strings at the same time. This means that they don't ring out. Then to unmute, he moves his palm away from the strings and strums. Some people call those muted notes "chucks." Watch the video again and you might be able to see the position of his arm shift just a bit so he is moving his palm closer to/farther from the strings he's playing. Hope that helps!
e l l e_ l u n a aside from the bm it’s not too difficult. All the same chords pretty well. Just work on changing chords until you get smooth. Your fingers have muscle memory and will just get it after a while.. it’s frustrating but hang in there!
All tutorials I could find require a capo. If you can play bar chords and dont have a capo, you can do B-F#-G#m-E and it should be quite good. At least thats what Im doing since I STILL don't have a damn capo lol. But not having capo did make me learn bar chords faster lol
However, at the end of the lesson you should always perform the song ! To show how everything comes together.
For real cant get a clear image of how this is meant to sound
I agree but its a nice tutorial:-)

It’s better to play it all first before you try it to teach.

Its actually B F#min G E

Can I play the verse, outro, chorus chord pattern for the whole song? I’m a beginner and I don’t think I can do that whole song with all those chord patterns to memorize.
Only thing is I don’t have a capo so it’s weird but I made it work
Wow it's a nice guitar cords.... I like the song I'm yours by Jason marz

@@ann8846 thank-you so much for your in detail explanation :) I have been practising this song well now
The best guitar teacher🎸
Is lightly tapping the strings okay instead of palm muting? Because I don't use pick and its hard for me to palm mute without it.
Easy thanks!
how do you do the mute strum
anyone help? :(
Thanks this helped a lot
Easy to understand, tk!

How about trying play all after chords introduction with lyrics?
Channel: 5 minute guitar lessons
Video: 6:53
Me: ....you lied to me!
if you minus the time where he plays to demonstrate the song and its chords then the tutorial is 5 mins.
You can also do a A#dim instead of The A7
My pick keeps getting dislodged from my finger while strumming - how do you tackle that problem?
Hold the pick stronger? Idk, it never happened to me
I agree, hold the pick harder to not drop it
same my pick keeps falling into the hole
Beginner tip: if palm muting is hard for u then hit upper string for muting sound and focus on lower strings for clean sound.
Need to see it performed...

You can Mute by not pressing on the chords just place your fingers on theme gently
Place you're hands or palm very close to the guitar string then lift it up when you strum the up strum 👍

Why do it sounds different when im in D chord??
Same, mine sounds so high pitched
Because the low E is the only one muted
What is the strumming pattern ?
I now know how to play it but with the it's whole different story
