I was 11 years old and I fell in love with her. That's the time when, thanks to her, I "discovered" girls. I skipped school several times to go and see the movie again and again...... and I was so young. Great memories !!!!!!!
I’m currently visiting London and I’ve been asking many people of my age (50’s) about the exact spot where Melody walked out her fish, sadly not even one person knew about this movie, I watched it in Mexico back in the early 70s.
Apparently, and according to verification over on Reelstreets, the trough Melody releases her goldfish (its a safe bet to say it is no longer there) is Lambeth Road at the junction with Kennington Road in London SE1. I hope you enjoy your visit to the capitol :)
I picked up Melody on Blu-ray, first time watch. I'm a big Alan Parker fan, so I was surprised I hadn't seen it. Love the film, fantastic. A brilliant performance from a young Tracy.
@majordolbyscat Cool. It's definitely one I'll rewatch now and then. If it ever gets a 4K upgrade, I'll be double dipping. Have you seen The Orchard End Murder?
@@KirkRedgate Yes mate, one of the first BFI Flipside discs I bought (and the first without seeing the film beforehand) somehow knew I wouldn't be disappointed
I saw Melody ending 1971 in Mar del Plata city, Argentina . I was 16 and it was touching. Of course I felt in love immediately with this inoccent and lovely girl... thanks Tyde ! I'll remember you for ever
When this movie landed in my small town, I was immediately smitten by the pretty lil' girl. And of course the Bee Gees song were just marvellous. Love the movie.

Beautiful, always was, always will be.
Melody movie, so nice, I watched it over and over again
She's still stunningly beautiful.
Over 50 years since I heard Tracy Hyde aka Melody say the words "Will you love me that long?"......And yes, I think I still do!
Melody was a show I saw as a kid. It really was wonderful
i watched love melody film more then 100 times and favourite the songs too.
Only six years later and the Bee Gees would find they had another massive hit with a soundtrack in the form of Saturday Night Fever

As an impressionable young man in the 80's, Tracy was my first crush when I saw her in Melody.

I walked at the Soho area, I believe I was closed to it.
What a gorgeous lovely lady. Great film watching as a kid along with fab music.
And lovely to hear that she got on with Jack and mark 😊
I am so happy Tracy had good experiences as a child actor. You read so many horror stories from former child actors. Tracy’s memories sound lovely.
You wont hear if anything happened here. But child actors in london in the 70s omg
Tracy….hermosa mujer.

@majordolbyscat It's in my basket, think I'll grab it. I like bizarre thrillers and arty cinematography, it looks interesting.

so beautifull girl
Still have a crush on her...❤
A beautiful lovely woman
Certainly is John. I always felt it was a shame that she retired from the screen so early on.
Mark Lester as Oliver Twist. Jack Wild as The Artful Dodger.
Thanks.
I wonder what she thought when jack died
Your life becomes harder & harder as an Adult.
Young kids just don't know atoll about it.
Where’s she been hiding away all these years?
She retired from acting sometime ago and chose to lead her life outside of the spotlight.
