as vigilante I shoot as soon as day 2* if you do not speak within two days doesn’t matter what you are you’re getting shot

Funny enough back when ToS first came out I had a strategy where I would pretend to sell out my fellow mafia. I would just put in my will how much I hated mafia, and wanted them to lose, then I would "reveal" who my other mafia were. Of course I made sure the only actual mafia I listed were already dead, the rest were random townies. Surprisingly this actually worked more than once, really surprising because I was a noob who had no idea how to play and would often accuse about five or six different people of being mafia, in addition to people who had already been hard confirmed.
Why throw when you can just let the town be naturally stupid?

@@insertname3293 Depends on the execution. If you write only a dead mafia/forged mafia as your real maf and the rest are townies and use your will for it rather than saying it yourself, it doesn't count as throwing. Any other way, its throwing since the strat is so trash and is immediately countered by a 1f1.
Remember mafia have less member than town in an average game (All any excluded) which means losing a single maf member is worse for maf than town losing a town member. You cannot reveal your fellow mafia to town without discernible reason (e.g. the mafia in question was outed by a TI in which case you probably can out them unless you are confident they can shake off the sus.).
Vig n2: "If I shoot a random player besides myself, its a roughly 6/12 chance to kill a evil, I like my odds"
Vig in CAA:
“If I shoot a random player other than myself, it’s roughly a 8/10 chance to hit an evil, but it’s a 1/8 chance for that evil to not have def”

How to throw as Survivor:
Claim day 1 Surv, guaranteed you're getting lynched the moment an NK shows up.
Me when someone threatened to hang me and someone said “They have a role they can’t claim right now” at the same time as I said “I’ll shoot you don’t threaten me” And everyone was like “Why did you claim?” And I was like “I just wanted to threaten to shoot someone 😂”

Yesterday i got vigi and let my friend vote who i should shoot and they chose the psychic claim (i ended up dying the same night from something else)
I accidentally threw by sending a message meant for mafia chat and NOBODY NOTICED. Mind you: THIS WAS RANKED. I was telling my mafioso to write a joke about a townie that got lynched, but sent it during the day accidentally. (I was godfather, we won without a single mafia or the witch dying.)

Lol the jester throw just happened in my last game an hour ago. This player claimed jester to me when I was jailor, but their jest tactic was to push the medium claim and actually got them lynched. So I was like, nah you got a town killed, so that's literally guilty. 😡 I thought most jailors would spare the jester.

When going over Retributionist at 5:42, and talking about targeting themself, it reminds me of a Pipetron video in which the Retri offed themselves because the final evil was between the Retri and somebody else. By offing himself, he guaranteed the last 2 town a victory the next day, because there was only one unconfirmed person. Wish I could find it, but it’d be like finding a needle in a haystack.

I was pestilence once (No GA), got to the end and it was a 2v1 between me and a mafioso with a GA. For some reason, the entire server was v e r y upset with me when I attacked the GA and not the Mafioso because the GA could (and did) heal the Mafioso. No guys, I wouldn't let the GA become a survivor and win too because they could've healed the Mafioso and I would've lost, and I was right. So stop bullying me damnit

I was actively pushing and asking for roles and lynching evils and the following night i died to vigi shot. When asked, the vigi said they shot me bc i was too quiet. I cried.
One game I was a retributionist against 2 other evils and instead of being a kingmaker, I went to shoot myself with the vigilante, but it sadly doesn't work (for some reason, can't imagine why)

@@llamanortena6600 was playing town traitor and couldn’t veticide. This was in the sweet spot in 2020 between when retri got reworked to stop rezzing people and when forger was reworked to forge roles. Before that rework, retri couldn’t be tt, so now that it could, people were overly suspicious of them. Rather than waste a vote on me in the tt hunt, I shot myself with the vigi. We might have needed to vote a medium or mayor or something during the day, idk it was a long time ago.
If the comment above is right though, you might not be able to do it anymore. Maybe y’all could help me test it later today

Hey now, I've won by claiming Blue Vigi as SK more times than not, so I'd say is valid since town will typically forget that you're actually evil until they realize they're stuck in a kingmaker position between who wins between you and another evil

3:20 this literally happened to me one game, my ga protected once N1 to confirm themselves and tried to get me lynched so they could become surv.
In the end maf killed me (prob cuz ga tbh) so they got their wish. But luckily for me pirate killed them the night the game ended so they lost as surv, while I won with town.

With how often mayor's and other evils claim survivor day 1, that werewolf one can be justified
This was meant for CAA but it works well as an example of the ppl in classic rn. Except Amne. Amne claims d1 are usually trusted on there and aren't pushed until late game.

Had a game where the vigi shot the VIP after cl was dead n1. There wasn't a mayor so I guess they had to settle with something.
I had great game in VIP a few weeks ago. As CL I controlled a random person into medusa, but medusa was like #8 and I was #7 so I misclicked and the person I found was ofc the vigilante :) Shot myself N1, gj.

thank you for talking about the psychics, everyone always fricks up so bad because they dont pay attention to the message in the role card (*at least* one of your targets will be good/evil)
I think this video is a repost? Most of the players, in my games, have been using this guide for years.
That GA one is somewhat a legitimate strategy, as they are technically a neutral role, and can easily be confirmed as survivor.
Except that it's still a gamethrow technically, because per the rules you must try to win as the faction you are currently as best you can
@@LegoLad659 No, gamethrowing is when you intentionally lose the game. If you know you'll be a confirmed survivor and have a better chance of winning, throwing your GA target under the bus is not technically gamethrowing.

"Intentionally losing the game or hurting your teams chances of winning(even if that team is just you) is gamethrowing."
The only way I can see that situation not falling under this banner is if you can somehow prove to me that your GA target is not your teammate. So please, enlighten me.
@@LegoLad659 Your GA target isn't your teammate. You can win, despite your target losing. If your target is a pirate, for example. Also, if your target is amne and remembers jester, your goals will now be opposed.
Intentionally becoming a survivor by getting your target killed and siding with the faction that's winning will increase your chances of winning, and is therefore not gamethrowing.
@@missmorbid1439 Okay, so the GA strategy is to get your target lynched, because it's easier to win as surv than as GA (GAs get targeted by enemy factions a lot). Good to know everyone is playing GA wrong.

this reminds me of a game where I was LO on jailor and the vigi visited him I posted my will and the vigi got upped and when they saw vigi they exe me and he got mad at me I think hes the one who made the mistake unless its a strategy to shoot the jailor

Bro same. It was a passive town so even tho I was escorts I took the lead since passive towns lose. In the end, the vfr was the mayor and he hated me even tho I had confirmation on who I rbed. Fun times
I mean, not healing every poisoned person is often the right move. A lot of times, they're just evil. Unless they actually claim their role, I tend to ignore poisoned claims

Funny Framer Throw is how I framer meta... Mafia are 6 4 and 12 (really they are 12 9 and 15) Sell out one of my normal mafia and frame one of my targets that way if I die n1 Mafia has a 1 in 3 chance of being found... bonus effect is that stupid vigi's would shoot if the 12 was found as mafia one of the other townies... if not both turning it into a massive gain for mafia... imagine trading 2 mafia's for 4 townies...

Ive got a solution for your problem regarding playing with Pipe. Just name yourself something random and tell Pipe who you are, so he can highlight you for the viewers. That way you wont be targeted, and people won't put impossible expectations on you in game.

It’s Pipe’s channel, not mine. He’s gotta do his thing. That being said, I did use random names last session and things worked out really well. They were some of the most fun games I’ve had in ages. It was especially fun because since I’ve been playing with Pipe for years, I can pick him out of the player list pretty easily, but since I almost never went anonymous, he didn’t know who I was. We played this amazing game where he was mafia and I was pestilence and we were shouting over each other to get the other one killed at the end. I won, and when we got to the end screen, he just goes “YOU” in all caps like that. 😂
tl;dr I like the new dynamic even if people don’t know I’m in the game

2 things I do that are as close to gamethrowing without gamethrowing
1. When I die as mafia I set as many random numbers as there are mafia remaining in my last will. They won’t be mafia and are designed to trick Town into voting their own Allie’s out, giving my mafia an advantage.
2. I will jail a revealed mayor. Although most people probably do this. I like to jail D1 mayor reveals so that they aren’t immediately dead by D2 and reveal to them who I am

But then, on D2, during VFR, there's a bunch of BG claims
One of them had to be fake
So, I asked all BGs except one to be on jailor. The remaining BG claim would be on mayor
Then, I proceeded to shoot the mayor

Lol, obviously not, clearly I was trying to confirm the BG, good players would clearly see that
But since mayor wasn't saved, that means the BG claim is evil

Here's the jailor throw. ALWAYS exe the doc who whispered crus D1 and fake claimed jailor, successfully baiting an evil. If you're the jailor who did this to me, disrespectfully stop making decisions.
As escort block confirmed Ti or Tp claims they could have been bit by a vamp so you should make sure that they did not turn , preventing this situation is way more important then then the Ti getting useful info or the Tp protecting the mayor

Hey, i actually won recently as plaguebearer(pest) claiming tracker. Not saying its smart but it can work
2:39 not gonna lie, I don't get why this one is a bad one, I won a game like that, the fact you can gain the info of who visited who if they have the plague is great to fake claim Tracker, I was a pain in the ass of maf cause I knew who they were visiting, and that made me "confirm" to Town
It's because, usually, when PB becomes Pest, the first people to be voted are Tracker claims since they share invest results, and, as you said, PB can reasonably fake tracker

@@guilhermedom2228 To be fair, I do believe that Tracker is a reasonable fake claim, but it's a risky one. Unlike usual, you don't want to infect everyone quickly. The best case scenario, 4 people are left, with two infected townies, you, and an uninfected, outed evil. They get voted, and you become pestilence immediately. Then, you can kill one of them. Basically, tracker is a surprise Pest claim, which is risky because you can't always control when you become pestilence.
Plus, if maf call you out for having defense, even if you have the perfect tracker claim, town is gonna keep in mind that you're possibly PB.
Essentially, I don't really think it's throwing, but it's almost never the best fake claim for you. If you wanna use the info you get as PB, though it might be more difficult, it's usually safer to claim LO, or, if you're feeling spicy, arsonist, though that would require a delicate balance itself

One time I literally claimed Arsonist, and told anyone to whisper any douse requests. Another person who turned out to be a second Arsonist helped me douse specific people and we got the whole town up in flames, and people forgot I was Arsonist.
