Yes and no, with 16gb RAM you are less likely to need to carry over to ssd memory but is still single ssd so if you happen to surpass the 16gb you will experience that
iPhone and iPad for portability... and MacMini for desktop work. That's my plan 😆 The new MacMini for $600 sounds fantastic 🤩 You get the newest M4 SoC with 10-core CPU+GPU, which is a nice step up from 8-core variants in MacBooks and iMacs...
Should I upgrade my 2020 intel MacBook Pro to this computer? it’s really slow, the haptic feedback doesn’t work anymore and the battery life is 💩. I was going to to wait until the M4 MacBook Airs come out so I can get the M3 ones cheaper, but I may just get an M2 MacBook Air now. I’m just worried about it being a bit old as it’s been around for 2 years.
Things get old fast in the tech world. No point chasing the latest gadget. I got a M1 MBA IN 2022, 2 years after release and my only regret was not upgrading to 8GB RAM. M2 MBA now with 16GB at $200 discount is really a good deal. But take note of the SSD size. Base M2's came with a single 256GB SSD rather than dual 128GB SSD. Read/write to disk is slower. The problem was sorted out in M3.
@@rhyme5218 yeah I'm pretty stumped with this decision. I have an early 2015 MacBook Pro that needs to be upgraded. The M2 Air 16gb is $200 off right now and I'd hope that would last me 5 years since my MacBook Pro lasted 10. I'm not sure if it's more worth the sale price on the M2 Air or if it's better to wait and spend more for the M4 Air in a couple of months
@ apple warranty has lost a lot of its value lately for me I haven’t had a good support experience personally in a long time might be why I’m more leaning towards getting a used device for cheaper
Buy the M2 MacBook Air here (affiliate links)

yes, I have the M1 in silver and was amazed by silver when I first got it.
Does anyone know if the 256 gb models still come with single channel storage or have they fixed it
Does the 2024 MacBook Air M2 updated Base of 16GB still suffer from the Slow Read & Write speeds??? Thanks

Is the 16gb /256 new configuration still on slow ssd?

Or you could get a M1 Pro used for about 150 dollars more
Or you can pick a brand new m2/m3 air and still have warranty
