I'm so tempted to get the fog lights for my car from collegehillshonda but I'm intimidated by the installation process. The fuses part should be better explained. From where did that cable come from? What steps are missing? I want to be able to do this on my own.
Those two cables that connect into the white 34 pin are the cables from the switch harnes is the same harnes that contains the relay block .this switch harnes has to come with the installation kit
That cool how the lights game with combo switch. My 06 doesn't, been searching online, but It would do just fine with the button next to the Combo Switch. Great vid!
@@dee_2330 Done that to mine. Font bar itself, upper grille and lower grill all sold separate so its a bit more pricey in Australia but don't regret it
it's not bad if it's labour and the fog light complete kit. You make honda install them for you cause there's some few things you have to take off inside and replace one thing to control the fogs. I will say go for it if it's 600$ counting fog lights and installation.
After installing the relay into the harness relay block where do you place the the block afterwards? The instructions say “harness stay” In the video I just see you guys push it up I wasn’t sure where you guys place it
@iTHL91 Many of the basic steps are the same but the fog light assembly steps will be different. Installation instructions are available for printout on our web site.
Do you really have to get a new combination light switch??? or can i use the one already installed in my car?? ALSO, what if i didn't replace combo switch. Would the fog lights turn on with my headlights?!?!
still active? I broke the clip that connects the grille/bumper to the bar frame (50 secs in the video) and I wanted to know if there were any replacement parts for that or do I need to buy the whole thing again ? (For 2011 Honda Civic coupe)
hi i have a 2dr 06 civic ex it was already installed on the car how do i make the fog light just run on the parking lights? i dont want them to run w/ the headlights.
I installed aftermarket fog lights on my 2010 civic sedan. It came with a button (looks like VSA button). It works fine, but i would like to change the button to the new combination switch. Im quite confuse about how to do it, since its already able to turn on with the button.
You can buy "most" of the fog light kit parts as serviceable items. You can look up the breakdowns at www.collegehillshondaparts.com. Let us know if you can't find what you are looking for.
College Hills Honda Hi, I'm getting problems with switch harness as well as the relay. Everything was made by the collegehills's PDF and its great, but I cound't find how to build this switch on the internet. I just wanna know what relay exactly to bye and how th wire are into this switch. Thanks
Alright so everything here made sense and I have done almost all of this. I'm stuck on actually feeding the power wire through the firewall. Then again though my kit didn't need to be plugged into the in cabin fuse box. Did the civic need to have a wire harness feed through the firewall since the wire harness connected to factory fusebox? I order OE fog lights from Ebay and everything was OE with the lights and nd switch but the wiring harness has its own fuse and relay already and a power cable to go to the battery. What's a Web link to your PDF steps?
How many hows does this install take in real time? My local dealer wants to bill 3 hours, and it seems like it would only take 1 to 1.5 hours. Any answers would be appreciated.
THis is a great video. I am thinking of geting fog lights on my 09 civic sedan alsoo. Would you happen to know of the price range this may cost me? (I'm from Canada) Thanks!
The kit I got for My 08 si coupe comes with a button to install next to the VSA switch. That area also has controls for my mirrors. How would I install that new button
I have a 2011 Honda Civic sedan and I ordered the fog light kit from Amazon and it came with the push button switch for the dashboard and do you have instructions of how to install that? Pretty stupid they send you everything you need to install the fog lights except for the crucial part, the instructions lol and I will appreciate any help that is given!
Christian Dietrich really depends on where the button is. I have an Hyundai Accent and mine was a button right about the fuse box cover. When you removed the bottom dash cover everything should be easy to get to. Everything was pop in and out.
What kind of pins does it used for the cabin harness? (the white with black strip and the blue wire ones) I can't find an OEM harness in my country, so I have to modify the one I have. If you could give me the link for close up picture of the electrical pins, it will be much appreciated. Thanks
The wiring can be different from country to country. It is recommended that you contact a dealer near you to find the electrical information for your specific model.
+College Hills Honda The problem is, in my country, only specific model get a foglamp, and they didnt sell the wiring at all. So even if I have the model with foglamp, and somehow I fried the cabin harness, I wont be able to get it (unless I bought the whole dash harness that is)
Where does the wire go after it passes behind the washer tank? We've been working on this all day and are frustrated and confused as to where the "vehicle harness" is.
@chhonda hey thanks for the quick answer!! i notice now that i didnt do the question how i wanted :p i was asking because of the thiefs!... its too easy for them i think... in the older bumper you would have to take the bumper out... thanks again and good work with the videos
I just installed fog lights on my 2010 civic sedan & it came with a aftermarket switch. I want a combination switch, where could I get the combination column switch that has fog lights on them?
okay, so I bought a pair of fog lights off of amazon. They were a little different. I wired them up exactly like in this youtube video I found ( ruclips.net/video/cE7D9asoa_c/видео.html ). They work, but the button that came with the kit melted together, so I installed a toggle switch instead of a push button on them now. I hear a loud click in the fuse box every time i turn them on and off (sounds like your grill trying to light with that spark), plus the car has a slight rpm change you can hear in the engine when they get turned on. I have a 10 and 20 amp fuse on the add a circuit. I don't want to use them due to the fact it might be wired wrong and i don't want to fry everything. Any thoughts before i take it to a garage and they do some simple, overpriced fix for it? Orrrr should i not worry? oh, and its a 2007 civic si coupe
TheFrancois321 Since what you installed is not OEM I would recommend consulting with the manufacturer or seller of the particular fog light kit you purchased.
06-08 models do have a slightly different set up. Harnesses and switches are different on some models.

@runlaalaa The fog light assembly for the Fit is removed from the front. The bumper does not need to be removed.
your guys making it look easy👍
@GregGjp You don't need more than that. The fog assemblies fit into tabs on the opposite side of the screw. They are not going to go anywhere.
Ahh back when these were new. Also, how would this be different for an '08 EX coupe, and where should i get the parts? Thanks
Getting one will be a challenge. The part is no longer available from Honda.
@@CollegeHillsHondaAccessories I found an OEM Kit! I'm so stoked to install it!
@micro Graham, where'd you search? I
I just got an '06 hybrid. It's doesn't have fog lights. Would love to get some...
@iTHL91 Unfortunately we did not do this for the coupe. The installation is very similar though.
Dang, so much easier than to install the '06-'08 sedan foglights. I wish I had an '09 front bumper, looks more aggressive. :D
I know this is 10 years ago, but you can convert it over no need to do anything else with fenders/hood :)

This video is fantastic. Im just wandering if you guys do any video on 06-08 Honda Civic Ex 2dr foglight installation?
Do you really have to get a new combination light switch??? or can i use the one already installed in my car??
ALSO, what if i didn't replace combo switch. Would the fog lights turn on with my headlights?!?!
you can also set up your fogs lights with your parking lights, so you can use the switch you already got.
Does anyone know how to install a fog light cover back on? Not the fog lights but just the cover
Our guys can easily do it under 2.5. Keep in mind the more you install the quicker you get.
Did this same kit but it didn’t work ? What should I look for ?
The most common mistake we see is improper grounding.
