This IS Rock n Roll. Keith rockin' out. Man runs on stage, breakin the rules. Keith beats him with the guitar. Man runs away with security chasing. Keith continues rockin' as if nothing happened. Now..... this is a Rock n Roll show.
I'm a new fan and I haven't seen any videos of them playing live before but I'm glad my first one has Keith swinging his guitar at a fan and then just goes right back to playing. That was awesome.
People, you have to remember that when that guy ran on stage, he was coming right at Mick, and this was 1981, just a few months after John Lennon was shot and killed in Dec. 1980. A lot of rock stars were on edge. Anyway, Keith bailed the guy out of jail later that night. Why? 'Cause he's Keith, that's why.
I vaguely remember seeing a performance like this when I was about 3-4 yrs. This could be it because of the incident so it was probably on the news. I asked my mom why Keiths hair was like that. She said, "the drugs". Well that was the moment I fell in love with rock and roll.
@1:15 there's one of the most beautiful rock 'n' roll event ever! An intruder invades the stage and heads toward Mick. Keith intercepts him and wipe him off the stage with his guitar. Afterwards he keeps playing as if nothing had happened! Keith FTW
It’s awesome how Keith even flipped the switch so there wouldn’t be a loud kabong sound when he clocked that guy! You see him flip it back on to restart. Incredible he knew right where to pick up playing!
I like how Keith nails that guy over the head, checks if his guitars still in tune then just keeps on playing, fucking rock and roll at its finest man, if that happened to a band these days they would run off fucking stage, i also heard he bailed the man out of nick on the night
I love this song and the Stones. This is Mick's philosophy, he can't get no Satisfaction, but he tried and he tried. But now he's definitely getting some Satisfaction, by filling up stadiums 🏟, and concert halls. He's an icon and a legendary artist. The Stones are coming in blazing hot 🔥. Mick is getting Satisfaction through the ticket sales from the filled up stadiums 🏟 and concert halls.
Just saw them in Denver 2024!! Mick was absolutely the best I’ve ever seen him! Ronnie’s energy rocked the city and Mr Richards was like a proud daddy watching them!! Lucky! That's how I'd like to see them tbh. They're a good band but the ticket prices are too much, probably for good reason and all. Lol. But idk, it would be epic to witness and be apart of the the atmosphere of one of their live shows. It would kinda give you the original experience of seeing them... idk if you get what i mean but yeahh 😂😊

And people wonder why theses guys still selling out shows at 80 years of age. Legendary.
I was there on the floor, fairly close to the stage (probably in some of the overhead crowd shots as the camera boom was constantly hovering around). It's funny that I don't have a clear memory of the guy running up on the stage (maybe because it happened so fast and the balloons were in the way? Maybe because it's been 33 years?). I do clearly remember the balloons though and I'm fairly sure that I took one home though it's since been lost to time. One of the things that really struck/surprised me about this show is how friggin' good they were. I had sworn that I wasn't going to go because I really hated what I considered at the time to be their "disco sellout" Emotional Rescue album. I don't remember the exact details but somehow I ended up going at the last minute (a friend called up with a deal I couldn't refuse or something like that). My low expectations were soon completely bowled over by the incredible electricity in that place. There was also that feeling you get when you know that you're witnessing musicians/performers that are just at another level. What was really amazing about the experience is that except for the Mick Taylor years the Stones aren't really known for their complex musicianship/arrangements (IMHO) but there was something somewhat intangible that put the show way over the top in spite of that. It's obviously something that has to be experienced firsthand in order to fully get it.
What people forget, is that, before these guys became global icons and the immortal Rolling Stones, worth a billion dollars, and owning every arena they play, they were first and foremost young punks who grew up in hard times under the ruins of London after Germany just bombed the hell out of them in WWII.
