You did well to get that footage Bill. Living close to the Lincolnshire air bases we can watch them practise regularly and be closer. When they bring the Typhoons out, usually in a pair, there's no point trying to have a conversation or make a phone call. Makes the bloomin' windows rattle!!
Bill that was great. Please don’t apologise for not being a professional photographer. It was fun. It was great viewing and a chuckle. Can’t park there mate 👍👍👍👍 lovely I’ve been in my own profession 42 years and even I don’t class myself totally perfect at all. Honestly we loved that here. Would not of seen anything if not for your footage. Thanks my freind for putting the time and effort in to at least show the footage. God bless you all and thank you
Cheers mate. I guess in my minds eye, I know what i want to accomplish, and had they been just a little closer, I could have got exactly what I wanted - But fair play to the fact that what I did shoot wasn't all that bad. Speaking truthfully, until I edited out all the shots where I lost track of the planes, I thought it was going to be awful ! 👍👍👍
I thought they were a bit far out, just about managed to get some photos off . The chap flying the pits special is Rich Goodwin, who I met at a customers house once , he was in the RAF and flew with the Arrows,as did the customer who I worked for . Great piece of filming, it ain’t easy mate , but you did well , even captured the air mass around the typhoon . Well done
Thanks mate - A lot of it was unusable though, which was a shame, and despite the extra height advantage of my chosen spot, well, as you saw, ii ended up having to go down anyway 👍👍👍 Gonna look at what you sent when I finish these comment replies 👍👍👍
The person flying the jubilee pitts isn't rich Goodwin though he does flies a Pitt's in a near identical colour scheme. The jubilee Pitt's is a S1S variant. The pitts G-EWIZ is a S2S variant. Though rich Goodwin did fly in his jet Pitt's at the show last year.
Lovely.. Thanks for sharing. You got some brilliant shots too. Its not easy following fast moving objects. (So you did not film the Red Arrows with your drone?). 😂
Thanks mate - Yes, it is difficult to follow stuff with the phone, especially when you are not used to doing it, but I think it came out OK.... But there was a LOT that I couldn't use... Drone Ban on entire Teignmouth area for 2 days - Was hoping to get an aerial shot of the fair all lit up on the den - Sure, I could do it, but to do it and post the video, it would be in itself proof I had broken the law! 👍
Hi Bill, i think you got great footage, well done you!! My family and i have recently discovered your youtube channel, and we look forward to your videos. My kids have nick named you Teignmouth Bill 😊 We have a holiday home on Shaldon side of the river and we've started looking out for you everytime we visit :)
Hey Bill thank you for your perseverance with getting some coverage of the air show. Red arrows always impressive, and not easy to film, i have failed miserably on several occasions so well done you. We used to go to the Dawlish airshow many moons ago when the Vulcan was still appearing, what a machine that was and SO LOUD 😅. Shame that they have to be so distant now. I thought that was the idea of having displays over sea and not land was that you they could be a bit closer
Yes, a little bit further away each year - But as you say, over water anyway! Still not to worry, that's it for this year. Like the cars in town - Cant have any cars parked on road as too dangerous. But car parks where you pay, even in the town, are deemed safe - because you pay? Madness 👍👍👍
Hi again Bill , so nice to meet you this morning along the sea wall . Just enjoyed watching your air day video . We didn’t stay until the end as wanted to get back to see the football . and get away before the rush . Take care . Trevor and Maggie .
New rules on safety mean they have to keep a set distance from the crowd line but when the crowd line is a bay it makes it difficult which is why they were so far out, still "Happy Planes".👍. PS: The Red Arrows are the only display team that can when conditions are right fly can fly over the crowd when they start their display.
Given the amount of 'incidents' there's been in recent times I think being away from the town is a good idea. We live quite close to a place that has an annual air show and tbh having the aircraft fly low over our houses gives me the Willie's (and frightens the horses). That said, you did a brilliant job, especially tracking the Typhoon. Thanks Bill.
You did really well on your phone Bill. Its hard to see what your filming when looking up at the sky. Those Typhoon pilots are just brilliant at what they do. Didn't make it Thursday to Dawlish, but hopefully be there Tuesday for a week, so hoping to meet you. 😉
Thanks Stuart - A lot of it was guesswork - But then the 3 / 4 mins I used for each was taken from 20 mins of footage, mostly of an empty sky 😂 Just give me a shout when you are down 👍👍👍
Dear Bill you did a grand job thank you for another great video . See you tomorrow stay safe . I'm pleased you saw another couple of subscribers Bill ❤😊xx
you did well to get such good footage, considering how much you had to zoom in, you managed to follow them pretty well and very steady hand, lol do you think that it was so far out to sea to protect the members fo the public after what happened at Shoreham?
Hi Bill, I thought that you did a great job of tracking the planes seeing as they were so far away from you. I feel sorry for you that you didn't even see the gazelles from where you were originally filming from. I take it that you didn't fancy standing on the bench, if you were filming from where I think you were. All in all though I really enjoyed it, cheers mate. See you tomorrow. 👍👍👍
I know what you mean, & its fair to say I was on a rooftop, just up from there - & I still couldn't see them! That and how far away things seemed to be this year, nearly made me give up - But that's why I started heading down every hour - 👍👍👍
Yes I did mate 👍 A shorter 'Both Ways' video will appear tonight or tomorrow night (Was busy with airshow vid yesterday) & a longer version of the train passing will appear in next Saturdays 'Normal' video. 👍
Out of focus is fine.... I once went all the way to the Imperial war museum to take photographs for my work.... It was a two day trip.... I had a great time it was all so interesting... But....but.... I forgot to load the camera with film.! My boss was very understanding. .....
Nightmare - I had a similer thing happen in America. I had taken a huge amount of photos on an expensive high end digital camera, only to find it had no memory card in it! The cheaper camera would warn you if there was no card - This one let me shoot happily away though 🤣
That distance is just silly, did you all have to wear safety helmets on the sea front😹. I think I saw a policeman a few years ago to😸. Nevertheless Bill well captured and thanks, a difficult shoot at that distance. 😺
Been too many crashes lately bill. Spitfire a few months ago. That's why there well over the sea incase anything happens. Insurance rules I'd guess. You still did well though
Another great video. We all appreciate what you do every day. Clive, S. Wales
Thanks Clive 👍 Yes, it came out in edit a lot better than I was expecting, based on what it looked like on the phone 👍👍👍
LOVELY FILMING OF THE RED ARROWS, OVER THE TEIGNMOUTH SKYLINE, LOVELY DAY.
Thanks Adrian - Yes, it came out OK in the end I think 👍

I can only imagine the noise with two of them at the same time - Earplugs at the ready! Nightmare - Cheers Mate 👍

It was enjoyable We Just appreciate your time and effort 👍
A cracking video created in difficulty. Excellent editing.
Thanks Keith. I'm glad that it came OK - I thought from looking at it on my phone that it was going to be unusable! 👍👍👍
Thanks Bill I Thought you did a great job keep up the good work i watch you every day from Kath .
Thanks Kath - Yes, it came out better than I was expecting to be fair - Based on what it looked like on my phone, it looked pretty awful... 👍👍👍

Ahhh, great stuff, seen them many times.....I'm glad you filmed it, brings back many memories....
Thanks David - Glad you enjoyed it - Cheers Mate 👍👍👍👍
I thought it looked good Bill thanks for doing that hopefully we see you when we are down in a few weeks
Thanks Simon - Well I'm always around somewhere in the morning! You know what i look like, so feel free to say 'Hi' 👍

Yes, councils will always agree to what puts most money in their pockets
Hi again Bill , so nice to meet you this morning along the sea wall . Just enjoyed watching your air day video . We didn’t stay until the end as wanted to get back to see the football . and get away before the rush . Take care . Trevor and Maggie .
Yes, nice to meet you both too 👍 Cant blame you for not staying - Hope you enjoyed the football 👍

Yes, Red Arrows did fly in across town at the start, however my phone wouldn't unlock so I missed them when they were close 👍👍👍
Well done Bill ! Given the difficult conditions you still managed to film some good footage especially the Red Arrows, amazing as always. Thank you !
Cheers Suzanne - Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Nothing wrong with that Bill. Well done.
Thanks Barry, appreciated 👍

Thanks Pooky-Cat - Its just in my mnds eye, I could have got a much better video, had they just been not quite so far out to sea... 👍

do you think that it was so far out to sea to protect the members fo the public after what happened at Shoreham?
Thanks Mate 👍I believe so - Health & safety etc - But they are over water anyway. Its not like they are directly over land 👍
Good stuff you got there Bill. That Typhoon is something else and not the sort of thing you would like on your tail! 👍
Absolutely - Really loud. Kids were shrieking and covering ears!! 👍👍👍
A valiant effort Bill. It appears that the UK health and safety rules don't allow planes to fly near people. What a shame.
See you tomorrow 👍
Thanks Cydney. Cheers! 👍👍👍
Great footage
Thank you kindly - My video of 'Sir Nigel' will be up later tonight - Just watched yours and subbed - I'm your 200th subscriber! 👍👍👍
Bill, you did a good job of that, thank you
Thanks David 👍

Bill did you see Sir Nigel Gresley pass Teingmouth there and back
Yes I did mate 👍 A shorter 'Both Ways' video will appear tonight or tomorrow night (Was busy with airshow vid yesterday) & a longer version of the train passing will appear in next Saturdays 'Normal' video. 👍
@@BillsPhoneTeignmouth yes I understand I was seeing Gresley and just made it to see the Typhoon whilst waiting

Cheers Trev. I have to admit it came out OK - I just feel that I could have done something really special, had they been just a little closer 👍👍👍
Good video though Bill but as Steve says there are strict rules now about displaying over people the Typhoon was good though .
Yes, I understand the rules have changed, but it just seemed a bit 'too far' away to me 👍
🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾
Thanks Derisley 👍
Was there bill and we passed your house did look out for you
👍👍👍
Zoom in closer with your camera I had no problem
Glad you found it easier than I did 👍

Yes. Just seemed a little bit 'Too Far' away this year 👍
