Despite the challenges, Orania has grown steadily. The town's population has increased significantly, and it continues to attract new residents who share its vision. Orania's future projects are ambitious, with plans to expand the population to 15,000 inhabitants. It's not exclusive to race but exclusive to culture. Myself as a white english South African, will not be allowed to move there because my values and history does not align with the traditional Afrikaaner. African tribes should be encouraged to do this to preserve and strengthen their culture, too. How awesome would it be if we, as South Africans, could visit and learn about each other's cultures by visiting tribal communities.
@@darrenforseille641 Not true either. The whole town is built on privately owned land. They are still South Africans citizens, pay SA taxes, vote in SA elections. BUT... they take nothing from the SA government.
This is a plan to import a part of pristine Holland into African soil. Can Holland allow Black Africans to establish a similar pristine cultural project in Holland and make it a completely autonomous or semi-autonomous town? This should be a key poser in the conversation that will help all debaters reach an objective conclusion and bring closure to this highly controversial subject. I am Nigerian 🇳🇬, but I find this phenomenon intriguing and antithetical to the vision of a unified world. We can all cohabit and raise our communities tranformatively, choosing to either preserve our racial identities within that setup or intermarry for hybrid, biracial offsprings and mixed values. We are all God's children and creation.
The Afrikaaner are decendts are mainly from the Netherlands and to a lesser effect the French. It was however the conservative Dutch and conservative French who fled Europe. Current woke Holland and France don't resonate with the conservative Afrikaaners.
They are South Africans. Have been living here for several generations. Just part of the Afrikaner group or culture. No relation to any European country or people.
Unified world? Nigeria can barely unify their own country! No cares about the Amish in the US and they keep to themselves and their traditional values and to give you an idea the Afrikaner has been here longer in Africa than Africans in North America.
I was under the impression that only Afrikaners could live in Orania, however, Tony Correia as the his name suggests does not seem (sound) Afrikaans but rather Portuguese.
You will be surprised how many Afrikaners have Portuguese heritage. Ferreira is a rather common Afrikaans name also. It’s a myth that Afrikaners are descended solely from the Netherlands. They’re a very diverse group of people. Tony is an Afrikaner for sure.
How you speak, sounds like Orania is a country within South Africa just like Lesotho, when you said " your people go to study in South Africa and come back". When you say you use your own calendar is like you are against holidays like freedom day etc. it just my opinion though.
I don’t really see why Orania should be an issue, if they want to live in their own culture etc then by all means, the Amish in America do exactly the same thing and Americans find it perfectly acceptable, personally I find it too insular but I think many communities could learn from them, the fundamental basics are people coming together and pooling their resources for the betterment of the group…
South African. They are citizens of SA, vote in our elections, pay SA taxes. They just maintain everything themselves, and take nothing from SA government.
@@TebatsoMalope-c8d They don’t have a President as such but a leader. Joost Strydom is CEO of the Orania movement. Their currency the Ora only has value within Orania. As it’s pegged to SAR its value is equivalent so realistically not worth much.
This place stands for everything that is against modern South Africa values, whats stopping them from building this "utopia" city in their ancestral land somewhere in west Holland?
I am a black South African. To them Holland is as foreign as it is to me. All they know and understand is South Africa. They went to the least desirable and populated province of South Africa, which is home to the indigenous people of South Africa, the Khoi and the San. They are not using any black cheap labour, but you still complain, because that is what we black people are good at. I am Zulu, we Bantus came from the Congo. If we want the Afrikaners to go back to Holland, we should also go back to the Congo. There is a reason why the land on earth is a limited resource. It was never meant to belong to any person or group of people. It belongs to whoever lives in it at the time. All humans have been constantly migrating since their first existence on earth. Many scientists say humans originated from Africa, and then moved to other areas. So, no race or group of people can rightfully claim any piece of earth as theirs alone. Instead of complaining about land noone was interested in, why don't you organize our black sisters and brothers to clean up and take care of the land they are occupying. Most areas dominated by black people are neglected and dirty.😢😢
@graceomakada5082 The reason apartheid lasted as long as it did is because of sellouts like yourself, that's if you are even a black person which I doubt, ask yourself a simple question, can you as a black person go to Europe and start an orania without getting backlash from the racists there?, as it is they are losing their minds because people of color are immigrating there.
What are you complaining about now again? The more boertjies move there the better right? These people made this place themselves in with no ones help. They pay tax to the govt but ask for nothing. What's your problem now?
The Northern Cape is a sparsely populated province, because of its harsh conditions. They have worked hard for themselves to make something that was not there before. They have no cheap black labour, but you are still complain. Instead of taking lessons, you want to criticize. I am a black South African, but I say KUDOS to them. They don't have to deal with the corruption and incompetence of the ANC and others, which have mismanaged once thriving cities and towns of South Africa.
@@LifemzansiIt's their money and it's their choice. It doesn't add or subtract to the Rand. So, why bother? We black people need to focus on ourselves, and not white people, unless they do something that harms us. Black people have so much wasted potential, because they are misled by corrupt black leaders, who want to shift focus from their corruption and incompetence to whites and the past. If we don't change our thinking and attitude, we'll still be complaining about apartheid in 200 years from now. Instead of promoting self-dignity and self-reliance, black politicians are promoting entitlement and dependency, which will lead to more and more poverty. We cannot force other races to want or love us, but we can make them respect us by doing better than they expect. We can start by taking care of what already exists, and then innovate and build further. We do have what it takes, but choose to focus on getting rich quickly.😢😢

Go do a documentary on those groups (anyone of them )
They are all the same in their own ways.
Living amongst their own cultures and traditions.
Leave them alone they are not interfering with any other group but focused entirely on building a future for them and their children. All the different tribes had/ have their own land/ countries in the previous the old South Africa. Ten times or more larger than the little land Orania has. They were even funded by the apartheid government yet they did nothing to improve their lives or land . Much like the ""new"" South Africa having incorporated all those countries. Show me how the new South Africa has improved economically, culturally.it is in decline the cities, rural areas are wastelands.what was once a pride nation is torn to shreds by greed and no vision of a future for their children.

What a beautiful town
I am very proud of what my fellow Afrikaners have done so far. I have a vision of what they will still achieve in the future. Here are three of my songs to celebrate this: ruclips.net/video/1X7VcO6k48s/видео.htmlsi=RUS-1stI6NnrqFen
Looks lovely
Is that all you got to say I live there and I got a lot to say I lived there for 8 years my friend got something to say hello wie's jy
@ I see
To my Orania brethren, peace ✌️ and love from Capetown, I pray our city becomes even a quarter of your way of living....protecting and respecting life in harmony with nature.
Hello I live there
Nice town-state, future great city-state,
It's not exclusive to race but exclusive to culture.
Sending love from Norway, respect the Afrikaans so much, stay safe!
So , Orania is a Country , a State of 3,000 Residents, the Smallest country on the globe 🌎 wow , amazing
NOT TRUE, Orania is not a country it’s like Gaza right now trying to be an independent nation on another countries land!!! 😠😠😠😡
Almost like the Vatican city is in Rome, Italy. The difference is only that while Orania is a cultural enclave, the former is a religious domain.
@@darrenforseille641Rubbish. It is on privately owned land. They pay SA taxes, yet want nothing from the gutterment. That makes them an asset.
The population density in Monaco is 25927 per Km2 (67,150 people per mi2).
The total land area is 1.6 Km2 (1 sq. miles)
@@darrenforseille641 Not true either. The whole town is built on privately owned land. They are still South Africans citizens, pay SA taxes, vote in SA elections. BUT... they take nothing from the SA government.
SLAVA WTF!!!! 😲 been watching your channel for years! never, ever, ever did i dream that you would come to sa! 🤩
The SAPS they do patrol this area I just saw the South African police service patrol van
Nope, they are passing.
These people are Afrikaners, they are not Dutch. What the Netherlands does or doesn’t do is the business of the the Netherlands.
The Afrikaaner are decendts are mainly from the Netherlands and to a lesser effect the French.
It was however the conservative Dutch and conservative French who fled Europe.
Current woke Holland and France don't resonate with the conservative Afrikaaners.
@@masterq2.033 close to 30% of the Afrikaner gene pool is German.
Can I as a koisan go stay there?
Thank you for sharing. They are like the Amish people, to say the least. Afrikaners are very hard-working people.
Do I need passport to go orania...I need a job as babysitter or as ECD educator❤❤❤
I don't know the meaning of this, but they are developing South Africa. This is Africa we would love as Africans.
You can also look for the video on Kleinfontein near Cullinan and Rayton. Started years ago by white South Africans for our own people.
I like this place... Hard work
How you speak, sounds like Orania is a country within South Africa just like Lesotho, when you said " your people go to study in South Africa and come back". When you say you use your own calendar is like you are against holidays like freedom day etc. it just my opinion though.
Hoeveel kos die huise daar? Kan n mens huur ook?
Ja jy Kan maar jy moet verblyf reg eers kry ....
Thumps up for orania,God blessed.
Why is there no crime? Hmmm.... i just dont know....
Easy because they have control anc government here have no control
Orange people have breins that's way😊
❤❤❤❤❤
I don’t really see why Orania should be an issue, if they want to live in their own culture etc then by all means, the Amish in America do exactly the same thing and Americans find it perfectly acceptable, personally I find it too insular but I think many communities could learn from them, the fundamental basics are people coming together and pooling their resources for the betterment of the group…
This is beautiful,
Our government can learn from them
Small child Poppie was killed there
Who asked that
Looks like the nicest place in the world. So clean, no graffiti, low crime. Beautiful community.
orania is south African or is another country
South African. They are citizens of SA, vote in our elections, pay SA taxes. They just maintain everything themselves, and take nothing from SA government.
Is in south africa 🇿🇦 but on private land
@@pieter5052does they have president or leader
.is their currency powerful .
😮I have lot of questions about orania..😊
@@TebatsoMalope-c8d
They don’t have a President as such but a leader. Joost Strydom is CEO of the Orania movement.
Their currency the Ora only has value within Orania. As it’s pegged to SAR its value is equivalent so realistically not worth much.
No litter anywhere
Someone needs to start fish farming in lake
😂😂They never took you to the poor side where we live
Where are the poor areas , I'm visiting again later this month.
I would like to see these.
Troll alert

no
Baie nice jul waarlik trots op my nasie ❤
@@SoulBuddy2222stop posing as a black person, you are not fooling anybody, we can all tell you are an afrikaner.
They have lived in South Africa for 100s of years and have zero connection to the Dutch land.
Respect others. That's it they're not causing any harm.
Bewys ons wittes kan dit doen in die land SA❤❤❤hou aan ons jul nodig
No crime. Interesting.
Ja wil da ga bly

This town ain't helping south Africa with nothing, why did you review it like it's this great thing for south Africa
You need help u have a government and BEE has been there for the past year's.This channel is not for u
They pay SA taxes, yet want nothing from the gutterment. What more do you want?
What are you complaining about now again? The more boertjies move there the better right? These people made this place themselves in with no ones help. They pay tax to the govt but ask for nothing. What's your problem now?
Ek is sooo ttto

i despise the fact this town exists
The Northern Cape is a sparsely populated province, because of its harsh conditions. They have worked hard for themselves to make something that was not there before. They have no cheap black labour, but you are still complain. Instead of taking lessons, you want to criticize.
I am a black South African, but I say KUDOS to them. They don't have to deal with the corruption and incompetence of the ANC and others, which have mismanaged once thriving cities and towns of South Africa.
@SoulBuddy2222 is it cool for them to have their own currency in SA
@@SoulBuddy2222 There's simply no need to create a separate town based on race in a country with a history like ours.. Spin it all you want, this is Africa but want to create an enclave devoid of Aficans? Utter BS

And we urge to the South African conscious people and the South African government to take immediate actions agianst them who are trying to divide the country.
