Greatly Appreciated! I'm working on my son's go kart and just as you said - failed to put the plastic piece back on. I was following a video from a different channel which did not mention reinstalling the black plastic piece. Thanks again!

Mine didn't either, got a gasket kit from omb when I removed the governer. It's got two cardboard/plastic gasket and two metal ones, I'm just not sure if the plastic one goes on first or the metal one.. and that's for the backside and the front side

I have no idea what i did wrong with mine. At first when i'd go to start my engine it would only run with the choke on and even then it would only stay running for about 10 seconds at a time idling all rough like. Everybody told me it's either the gaskets or carb needs a cleaning. So i disassembled the carb gave the inside a good cleaning put back together and made sure all gaskets were in proper order got everything tightened down and went to start it but now it won't start at all. Not even with choke on. Does that white plastic piece inside the carb bowl that holds the needle need to be facing a certain direction or does it not matter as long as the needle is going into the brass hole ? I'm wondering if i reassembled that wrong now ?
