    I bought a Zihyun SmoothQ3 this summer just before my interrail trip through Europe. Let me tell you, gimbals are hard to work with and you need practice. I thought easy peasy breasy, but it ain't. I have an iphone 13, so the footage came out all right, shockingly makes pretty pictures. However, when you want to zoom, lets just say with this version to me that is not an option. It will imediatly create static noise in the images. But what Zdenka is saying, what I also lacked is the story telling vission. Still haven't edited my footage, because I filmed at random. I never thought about storytelling perspective of the trip and the things I've seen and experienced. Looking at the footage I've got, I miss certain shots to make it interesting. I have barely no close up shots, often filmed at one height, basically all the things she mentioned I did not do. One needs practice, but also soms knowledge background on how to edit all the images together to make a fun and interesting video.
    .
    I have not been using my gimble since my return and felt like in a burst of energy I had waster about 100 euro's on something I have used only a couple of times during my two month trip. Even though, after watching this video it is giving me the energy again to try again. I just struggle with attaching a good microphone to my phone and securly attach my phone to the gimble, it truly is a hassle. When travelling and when you're with people, or alone, it felt really umcomfortable having to walk full out with my gimble and phone filming the surroundings. Imagine someone with a relatively full backpack, a shoulder camera back, and on top of that a gimble and phone in their hands. I had some fun conversations people thinking I was a photagrapher, but in reality I had no clue what I was doing (on the filming part, I love photagraphy)

    Hey Zdenka, recently found your channel and instantly subbed! Loving your videos! They are so well put together, being really informative but also super engaging and interesting. By far the absolute best I’ve seen! So thank you!
    I’m trying to get into creating cinematic / B roll / travel videos on my 14 Pro Max so your videos are really helping. One thing I’m undecided on is which is the best FPS to shoot in for those “point and shoot moments” as in, you just see something interesting and want to get the shot as quickly as possible or just shooting a quick video for social media
    Would I be right in saying that when purposely creating a cinematic video it’s always best to go either 24FPS or 60FPS if slowing the footage down in post? And HDR on or off? As I’ve heard really mixed opinions on this.
    I’m thinking point and shoot 30FPS would work well as 24 is too choppy, but I also don’t have a clue so any help is much appreciated.

    • @ZdenkaDarula
      @ZdenkaDarula  Год назад +1

      To be honest, any frame rate you are going to choose will be just fine. It is not about the frame rate. It is more about whether you are filming. Otherwise I’m glad you’re enjoying the video. Wishing you all the best.

    What do you recommend doing? Is shooting scene by scene a good idea? Is the "less is more" approach better in terms of shooting? I realized the mistakes i made was recording too much in one take, and move the gimbal around too much, which overcomplicated things during recording.

    Another brilliant video.....Zdenka can I ask you a question about frame rates, I noted that you film mostly in 60fps, which frame rate do you produce your youtube content at, is this also 60fps or perhaps 30fps?

    Great Tips. Question. I notice you use a iPhone 14 Pro... not the Pro Max. Is this because of the extra weight on the Max especially with a gimbal? I have a max and just bought the Hohem M6 based on your reviews and also will use some fairly large lens with it. I figure every time I change a lens I will have to add or remove extra weights on the gimbal. So what is your reasoning? ALSO looks like in your 'around town' shorts and other videos you almost never use anamorphic. Is that a suggestion or is there a reason for that? Fixing to go on a bucket list trip and wondering what I should shoot on. ALSO I saw your '20%' coupon for your class which I would like to sign up for but the purchase screen does not show a discount field. Am I a dollar late for this one? A HUGE TIA!!!

    • @ZdenkaDarula
      @ZdenkaDarula  Год назад

      Hello.., the only reason I didn’t go with max is that I don’t like big and heavy phones… anamorphic lens was used in this video: ruclips.net/video/8coCBAIA1x8/видео.html and new coupon code will be available in 2 months … wishing you all the best and thank you for your support
