    @tikka3030 You might also consider a Braille battery (available from Speedway), which is not only compact, but can also be mounted in any direction. The Braille battery is small enough to even be placed on the inside of the frame rail under the T body with a custom mount.

  • @speedwaymotors
    @speedwaymotors  13 лет назад

    @tikka3030 We have found that mounting the battery and fuel tank in the pickup bed allows for the easiest access to both. As long as there is adequate ventilation and all fuel and electrical connections are secure and safely routed, there should not be a safety concern. However, if you prefer to mount the battery under the seat, it should not be very difficult to fabricate or adapt a battery mount to work, provided there is adequate room under the seat or you cut the floor for clearance.

    @meesh68504 We certainly are! Look for it at the Hot Rod Super Nationals throughout Memorial Day Weekend. We also plan on bringing it out a few times over the course of the summer to Culver's Classic Car Night.

    @Ecosse57 Our T-Bucket bodies with the 3" channeled floor will be slightly more cramped than the unchanneled bodies due to the floor being raised 3" up into the body. Using a tilt steering column may help gain back a little knee space.

  • @speedwaymotors
    @speedwaymotors  11 лет назад +1

    We offer four different frame options for the Model A, but currently do not offer a Model A body to go along with them.

  • @Ecosse57
    @Ecosse57 13 лет назад +1

    how much more cramped (knee to steering wheel, etc) is the channeled body? can you guys set the frame up (weld tabs, etc) for the buggy spring/ 9" on your basic or nostalgia frames? please tell me you have more than one choice for interior kits.
    glad y'all are keeping the t bucket thing alive.

    Nice build but really how many do you sell. The generation that can relate to these cars is just about over. I think building and promoting a 32 coupe is more practical. Please don take me the wrong way. Appreaciate your efforts. Speedway is a great company.

    I'm thinking a wider frame. I'm looking @ the Helephant. I'm thinking a Carbon Fiber Body. I'm also thinking about slide Rail's to help keep the power to the Pave.

    We're finishing up a new horror film called Rockabilly Zombie Weekend, and it's filled with classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, all sorts of cool shit. We got a really sexy black T-bucket parked for the wedding scene.

    These are only available as kits - we do not offer a completely assembled car. The good news is that our T-Bucket kits are engineered to bolt-together using basic hand tools (depending on the options you select). We offer more basic and bare T frames for more experienced builders who elect to do their own welding, fabrication, and suspension setup. To give you an idea, you can find a link to this T-Bucket's build sheet with part numbers and pricing information in the video description.

    @Ecosse57 We don't offer a rear buggy spring option on our Basic or Nostalgia chassis, but our bare Traditional frame (part # 715-4800) includes front and rear leaf spring mounts pre-welded to the frame. Please call our Tech Line at 800.979.0122 for the availability of additional mounts that can be pre-welded to the Traditional frame. At this time, our '23 T bodies are only available with a black or brown vinyl upholstery option.

    Aaron,
    We do not offer T kits in right-hand drive, but we do have dealers in Australia who sell Speedway Motors parts. Check out Fiddy Customs for some Australian-friendly T-buckets using Speedway parts. I messaged you the website.

    Awesome car, but I would go with a standard transmission. If it's a fun car, it should have a fun transmission. Automatics are great in a traffic jam, but I don't think they're fun.

    @tikka3030 This T-Bucket has a 20-inch chrome windshield frame. The tires are 275/60R15 on the rear and 185/60R15 on the front. The rear wheels are 15x8-inch with 4-1/2” backspacing and the front wheels are 15x6-inch with 3-1/2” backspacing. You can find a link to the downloadable parts list for this T-Bucket in the video description. From there you can type in a particular part number on our website for more details. Any other questions, just ask! Thanks!

    Most of these builds use an automatic trans, i was curious if I could run a manual and if there’s enough room for a manual pedal box? I plan to run a 302 with a world class t5

    • @speedwaymotors
      @speedwaymotors  4 года назад

      There is not enough room for a clutch pedal on this car. The brake pedal is already on the left side of the steering column.

      I'm 77 and still handle/drive a standard tranny! The problem is that most of our young whipper snappers are/were never taught to handle a manual tranny, let alone a 4-speed or a 5-speed tranny!
