So bloody nice. It's great to see a rod that is a thing of beauty. Too many go the cheap and nasty route of rat rodding, which generally is an excuse for not wanting to spend time finishing properly. Well done.

I've built a lot of custom cars over the years. I built a 24 T roadster when I was only 20. It all started with a fiberglass body that was originally a race car. I built basically everything myself including the 327 that was in the neighborhood of 450hp. The body was channeled over the frame so the car sat really low. The windshield was only 6 inches tall so the air cleaners were actually the tallest part of the car. It had a very early chrome plated Edelbrock tunnel ram with dual carbs. These cars are absolutely insane to drive when you have a good amount of HP. They basically weigh nothing. And I can honestly say if this gentelman can get the tires to stick, those wheelie bars are definitely needed. I had a set of Hoosier slicks, about the same size as on this car, and it would pull those front wheels very easily. This is a very cool ride you have here sir.
Back in the 70's I built a 32 Ford coupe with a 365 HP 327ci, Duntov cam, two four barrel intake, 4:11 Dana 44 posi rear, and std. Four speed tranny! Loved that car, there wasn't anyone in my town could take it in the quarter mile! You have a beauty there, and I know how proud of it you must be!
My idea of a Hot Rod👍. I put a big block Ford in a friends Cobra kit car. When we fired it up on the drive with just the headers fitted the neighbours were out up and down the road. As it was dusk on a winter's day it gave quite a show visually, with blue flames and, of course that glorious V8 rumble.
