A lot of times the translation of Korean to English misses the mark and things are interpreted differently in Korean. At least that’s what a Korean person explained to me once. Ugh I’m 5 foot 3 inches from the UK and I’ve been called short my whole life, it’s so frustrating. I can’t even imagine what the 4 foot girl must have gone through, she’s amazing. It’s much easier to be taller in this society than shorter tbh.

It’s not easy to be taller than short. Constant compared to men,and height affects shoe size short is seen as feminine tall is more masculine and also taller than a lot of boys who prejudiced tall girls so just forget about dating

If ur tall people constantly tell you to be a model or that you’ll be good at sports. If you’re short people call you a dwarf, pat you on the head like an infant and like the 4 foot girl said in this video little kids degrade you and don’t respect you as an adult. 20년전 중딩때 나도 170조금 넘었는데 굽좀있는 메리제인 신고(힐 아님 통굽임 ㅠ ) 학원 밑의 문방구에서 수첩 고르고있는데....... 고등부 오빠가.... 보고는 '무서운 여자다' 하고 감. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그냥......키 크면 진짜 웬만한 남자들이 못 다가오는 그런 게 있긴 함. 자기 키에 컴플렉스가 없는 사람이거나. 키가 큰 사람이거나..... 할 때 좀 부담없이(?) 다가오는 듯. 요새는 키큰애들이 더 많으니까 179는 되야 크다지만 ...... 나는 174로도 모델소리 들었었음. 아직도 조금만 굽 있는 거 신어도 다 쳐다봄 ........ 아니 솔직히 안 신는대도. 가끔. ........

they are 16 so :D i would guess the small girl will grow a little so will reach eventually the 155 or even 160cm :S so it is more normal in korea
the tall girl may also will grow and deffinitly will hit the 185 or even 190 which will make her life very stressfull... the avarage korean is 165-170cm... even the tallest one around 180cm...

this comment brings back memories. teachers thought i was a high school senior or adult when i was middle school first year or seventh grade for you american bred. i was around 6ft 1in and stopped growing taller around middle school 3rd year or high school freshman.
4ft girl takes years to grow into her clothes while 6ft+ girl grows too big for hers in less than a month.

I think it's also because she's one of those people that just have longer legs and a shorter upper body, which makes her look really tall.

My story’s a bit different like I’ve been on both sides of the height story. Like before, when I was 12/13, I was 150cm tall which was shorter than most of my peers. I always wanted to be taller and more like a model, and for clothes to look nicer. But then suddenly when I turned 13, I grew a lottt and I was 178cm and obviously now I was extra tall compared to girls in my class. I hate it now and want to be shorter and feminine 😭
When I was 14 I was 4’7 but I got a growth spurt to 5ft and stopped growing when I was 17/18. There’s still hope😂

I'm from sweden, while I am 5'3 its right below average for women (also i am half asian so ill blame my mother for not being taller lol), im usually the shjorter ones in the room full of fully swedish people. According to google, average for women in sweden is 5'5, however, its not counting ethnically swedish people only. i think that ethnically swedish women are around 5'7 and up.
maybe i'm part northern european then? lol. all the girls in my extended family were at least 172 cm (5ft 7in) in middle school, and the boys were at least 180 cm (5ft 9in) around that age. nah, we're pure asian.

1,79cm is in Europe normal. Show how tall is Turkish Volleyballer, as example Zehra Güneş, she is 1,97cm. You can invite her :) maybe she comes. Or Kübra Akman, she is 2,00cm. But Zehra is brighter, Kübra is more skinny if you compare. This Korean Girl İs just 1,79cm.

What i want to say, yes she is not small but for me she is not like „Wow“ effect in view of some places in Europe. In my school, a girl with i write was 1,94cm with 16. A girl, a friend in my class 1,84cm, also with 16. In Europe you can see taller girls, in East Asia the Population is in general smaller than Population in Europe. In Europa is a girl tall, if they over 1,80cm (beginning). In my university a girl that study with me was 1,96cm. Germans are in general tall. Logicly not all are so tall, but many girls are 1,70cm and higher, that is normal.

I really don't understand people when they say 5'10 is SOOO tall , like really? i feel like the same women saying that are running to buy high heels to make themselves a couple inches taller. so shorter women are like Im 5'6 now she is 5'10 with heels. i don't understand why women make fun of women for being above 5'8, then those same women are wearing heels making themselves 5'8 ???why do women look up to fashion models and sports players who are usually tall? then make fun of those same women for being tall? Hypocrisy or craziness? i dont understand lol i wish people would be taught that its normal for there to be tall women and short women. Make it normal instead of making a big deal about . ITS normal!, im 5'11 and get soo annoyed by the amount of comments about im sooo tall, like im a normal height! the average woman is 5'5-6'0. now take those 5'5 women and put them in 4 inch heels. most women are walking around 5'8-6'2 in height and if the heel is bigger there even taller. Even a 5'3 woman with a 6 inch heels is going to be going to church, or a club, or out with friends would appear to be 5'9 . its seems the artificial height is well accepted but actually being 5'9 bothers people for some crazy , i dont understand , doesnt make sense reason. if i made fun of someone for having a orange hand, but painted my hand orange everyday to show off, or look more attractive it wouldnt make sense. There are tons of women over six foot tall. some women are 6'9 tall. so 5'10 isnt that tall. its around the height of most women in heels .
sometimes my classmates make fun of me because of my tall height like i am 6ft 2 inches tall (188cm ) and i am also 16 year old only , but i have efficient growth hormones so what is my fault isn't it 😂

I'm 150 cm as well, and even have kinda a baby face like she does, on top of it i'm a medical student doing internship, sometimes patients find my height funny and kinda taunt me "are we sure you're not a 5th grader?" or when they respnd to me i feel like they're treating me like a kid lol..tough life lol,,,
