Swimming pools in every school js normal ??

Helppp the mom speaking thai and her daughter speaking english
that’s literally me and my mum except instead of thai she speaks mandarin
Frr 😭😭
This simply depicts the reality that an environment she's in could really change someone's behaviors. It can really shape the way they think and act like one of them. It's important to consider the people whom we are hanging out with and what their intention could be. And for a person that doesn't have to change oneself just to get in or to fit in with the people who surrounds them and as well as you don't have to dump older and kinder friends just because you have new one and at the end of the day, they'll leave you and you got you. Find the right circle, find the right friends.
Singapore school. One singaporean girl. Literally almost all the girls are ang mo
I’m guessing this is supposed to be an international school they all got that accent
@@m1zusaki quite a lot of girls in RGS/NYGH/SCGS have that accent lol (parents who studied in the UK or US)
Why is the mom speaking so formally 😭?
Fr 😂
english is not everyone 1st language 💀 no need to say this
@@m-wp8lx I think they mean Viola's mother, she addresses herself very formally rather than as her mother to Viola
i thought it was a viola joke (i mean, the instrument), i wasn’t expecting this 😭😭
OMG SAME
Viola is so pretty tho❤ like actually her eyes are beautiful!
Wow this is a great film!! Really enjoyed it, the acting from the girls was excellent, and also the interdek mindset was too real… I feel like I’m reliving school lol (and not in a good way lol)
Help why is it some what funny😭😭
i need a part 2 of this so good
Singapore version of "After School Special." Brilliantly done!
I really don't get the end...
same...
Yeah ...
Can someone explain the sudden happy song segment bit?
its what's going on inside her mind in those times
eg; when her mother first gives her $15, she is happy and is no longer upset. like the way children would suddenly see their parents in a better light after an argument because they would offer to buy them mcdonalds or something.
the second segment is when both viola and eve were exempted from pe class. In her head, viola saw eve as an ally, because both of them had to be exempted & she naively thought they could both bond over it
That’s a good explanation, but what about the last bit?
Yea im also confused about that@@lemoncable

Singaporean flim ❤ nice movie thank you so much . Having enjoyed
i think this a pretty superficial portrayal of what elite schools look like in singapore?? like what's with the american accents/ over the top feminist portrayals/ pilates references?? the tampon scene doesn't make sense? the stealing clothes? and the whole NSK thing-- like since when has that been a term anywhere.?
if you wanted to tackle issues of elitism there were a lot of nuances that were missed and this was a pretty damn unrealistic take. it was a bit too inspired by american high school dramas? and i also get that the "viola's world" "viola texting" with the gamey synthy sounds was an artistic choice but i don't feel like it served any substantial purpose for the film as a whole
great cinematography though that was probably the one thing i enjoyed
NSK means Neighbourhood School Kid, according to someone who is a student in Singapore.
@@aurabeaver I'm a student in Singapore and we don't really use that abbreviated form
@@Megan-mp9qw NSK is a pretty common term in RGS and NYGH lol - at least it was during my time
fwiw the accents were pretty common in RGS/NYGH when I attended as well - not universal amongst the students ofc but those who did speak differently def formed part of the elite segment (but not the 'cool' segment if that makes sense - that would comprise the rich sporty kids lol)
@@user-ou8hr2qn7h maybe it's a generational thing? that's interesting though i stand corrected
the guilt feeling in the end...
The dancing caught me so off guard 😭😭😭
this really reminds me of a girl from nowhere episode tbh, but without nanno

Damn didn’t know Singapore makes films like these?
why the angmoh girl staring at her like that
1st to comment, I love your films, getting inspired everyday and someday will create film like these
Why does viola look similar to yunjin from le sserafim
Omg yass
she be asking for so much money 😭😭
I don’t get this film , someone explain pls😅
I think it’s a whole idea of exclusion. In Viola’s case she was the new girl so it would make sense that she isn’t used to things and people there. Hope this helped!
Like the tittle, she wants to fit in and have "cool" friends in her new school. So, she be like doing "cool" kids do
Probably to fit in ot peer pressure
when u change schools, its a huge pressure to make new friends because being alone is scary as an individual in a society so she was probably super desperate to get a friend, and when she did, she latched onto her and decided to lie about the small things (what she does after school, what her mum’s job is, how many helpers she has) and committed to everything her friends were doing but in the end the friends made her realise she was still the odd one out because of how they still put the blame of the shoplifting entirely on her after they stole for fun.
NO I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PSA HELP..
she loooks like yunjin from le sserafim
Frrr
eh im 13 and we have the same textbook at 2:36

Can anyone explain the ending??
I am about to go to new school fill with rich girls but now I'm not choosing that I like the way my life going
I attend a high school full of wealthy students (all girls); most of them are very nice and accepting. Maybe look into your school.
@@celebthings_2506 it is also a all girl school do you really think they can be kind.... Like I'm already 17y and will they accept me

what is nsk??
Nice movie
I’m so confused by the end?????
Is nobody talking about how they added yandere simulator bell at 0:40
Edit: I started ww3 in replies
not to be mean but no one is talking about it because anyone would know that the school bell is an ordinary school bell for any Asian school.
it’s literally just a normal school bell in singapore 😭😭
@@isaacagain or any Asian school idk what to call them
thats literally one of the common school bells you hear in some schools 😭
Bruh this is a normal bell in Asia. Most Schools from elementary to universities in Asia has it. They even have it in America but few. But my university plays this song every hour.

Viola looks like young yunjin
Unfortunately, this is how many people on the autism spectrum (like me feel). We are basically expected to fake it until we make it, so as not to upset too many neurotypicals/allistics.
Why does the girl look like brick from the middle 😭 😭
