Forgot to mention using ayato with her. It works, but it’s not insane. Run him with fav. It’s nicer if you can go without a healer or shielder because you lose damage if you don’t, but if you have to use charlotte or Layla so be it. Not recommended for comfy abyss clears but it’s definitely usable for fun.
except the last abyss cycle (where i ran furina), i always run ayaka with ayato just because i love the idea that big bro ayato supports his lil sis. I haven't full starred abyss 12 yet (my goal is only 30 stars every cycle because the effort to get 6 more stars for 100 more primos don't feel that rewarding to me), but im super happy playing the two of them against the hardest contents XD
@@arch391I can comfortably get 33 to 35 stars on most abyss cycles but man that 36 star is not worth the effort for 50 primos. I've done it before but it's not worth the headache.
4:13 people don’t usually talk about this, but Xingqiu’s rain swords also apply hydro the way Barbara’s ring does. So you can actually get some consistent aoe app out of him if you really hug the enemies. It’s very good for an Ayaka that stays on field to charged attack or sprint.

And also Xingqui can break pyro abyss lectors and abyss mages shields faster than Ayato,yesterday I noticed the difference when I switched my Xingqui to Ayato,I'm just so sad that Ayato's skill and burst takes so damn long to break the pyro abyss lectors shield,like why did they do him dirty like that😭
I have wanted Ayaka ever since I saw that gorgeous cutscene in her story quest and the 'Tsubaki in Thawing Snow' trailer. I love her, and everything her character represents. Justice, family, resilience, dignity and quiet rebellion. Everytime her theme plays when I'm in Inazuma I get goosebumps. Yu-Peng Chen is a musical genius. I have 230 wishes saved for my ice princess!
@@Ruuinx that was a way to show that Ayaka, the one who always has to be perfect, the one that does no wrong, forgot her etiquette, let go of that mask she has to always have on for everyone around her and for that short moment did what she wanted to do, honestly I dont blame people for joking about it, but it has a very deep meaning to what her character is at its core.
Been an Ayaka main since her first banner! I first saw her on the main trailer of genshin, I wanted her already and have been hyped for her since. She has never disappointed. Carries me in abyss and domains with freeze comps. Great ice bridge for overworld exploration. All hail soggy socks princess! 💞
And also a very satisfying gameplay experience. Her whole kit is utilized. No useless normals, skill isn't just for particles or 3h long, burst doesn't force you to stay on field and gives you raw damage. And the permanent freeze is super satisfying too
Since Ayaka's dash applies cryo with no ICD whenever she pops up, she has the best cryo application for breaking shields. You can finish off hydro lectors just by spamming dash into them.
I am a day 1 Ayaka main (top 1% formerly, but I’ve fallen to top 7% since stopped farming sadly) and I have been really surprised at how much I love the Furina Charlotte variant of her teams. It feels much more consistent and comfortable than the Shenhe variant to me. If any of you have lost interest in Ayaka over the years y’all should definitely try it out.
For anyone on the fence I think the most important thing to consider is whether or not you like a little tryhard. Ayaka isn't nearly as comfy as a lot of other characters. My Ayaka is absolutely cracked being one of my strongest built characters at 99/263 with 144 ER and one of only 3 character I've pulled weapon for... but despite that I actually don't play her very often because it's just kinda too much work when others can achieve similar clears more easily and reliably. That said, when I am in the mood to play her right she deletes anything that isn't immune and it can be very satisfying to get a clean run with her. Also it is nice that her weapon is extremely generalist so if you do decide to go for that vertical investment it will never be wasted even if Ayaka is chillin' on the bench.
I absolutely love how quick swap oriented she is. Her teams feel so active and engaging. Your stats are good enough that you shouldn’t have issues 36ing the abyss even without perfect freezes
@@dylanhicks4771 Yeah my Ayaka can 36* using only charged attacks lol, but that's not fun or really the point of her kit and most players considering whether or not to pull her won't be looking at damage like that out of the gate. If you actually need her burst to connect to clear she can be unreliable and frustrating if you don't like having to reset sometimes when her targeting misbehaves and sends her burst into the void or the high hp enemy unfreezes for a sec and teleports away. I played her for a long time with amenoma and much lesser stats before going for her weapon on a rerun and one of the reasons I went for her weapon, aside from its high general value, is because I find she can get tedious to play if she isn't so cracked that you can afford to have half her damage miss.
This! Not only she's not very easy to properly play, she require some good rolls on artifacts on her and her team, and some other premium characters are really needed. Kazuha, who's very good on most teams, and, IMO, Kokomi, because without her you basically have to either play with Barbara who's kinda difficult to use in this team, Diona, so you damage will be lower, or play without proper healer, that is even harder.
Cryo immune characters are such a pain... I tried to make Ayaka my 2nd main (1st is Yoimiya), and since Freeze team doesn't do reactions, I'm sometimes stuck in some situations where she suddenly feels so weak.
Regarding her teams, I recommend the Furina/Charlotte/Anemo version even to seasoned Ayaka players. Better damage profile, more quickswap, more comfortable.
been using this and seriously finding anything worth a challenge. It is just so smooth with furina's hydro and charolette's team wide healing and Jean's as well.
Btw if you're agreed or not ... But the truth is ayaka is not made for f2p players also she's not suitable to them who don't have some premium characters like kazuha(must compulsory), kokomi(healer).. and shenha
and shenhe is sort of low value unit. like you only pull for her if you have Ayaka, Shenhe or Ganyu(but Wrio honestly feels better in melt Teams that include a dendro or oven. while Ganyu is more for true melt teams or more like a jack of all trades master of none.
Tbh, I would say the most irreplaceable character for Ayaka is Shenhe, Kazuha can be replaced by Venti when there are tons of enemies who can be grouped. (The damage boost by Shenhe is so great when I compare my Ayaka without Shenhe Vs people's Ayaka with Shenhe)
Furinas c2 dmg buff is comparable, especially if you account for her personal dmg as well. Shenhe will probably still provide ayaka the bigger numbers tho it that’s what your looking for.

Yes, I 've been waiting for this video! I love my Ayaka but, I didn't want her "premium team". Then Furina showed up! She's changed everything for my Ayaka! Nothing better than a hydro that follows you around and boosts your damage! I have yet to clear spiral at all but, blame my f2p build, hate of artifact farming and less than a year old account.
-A minor mistake in the video: Barbara cannot make use of Sacrificial Fragments as her Elemental Skill does not inflict damage.- Correction: Barbara's skill *does* inflict damage on cast and in melee range. Apologies.
I can confirm, I've reliably been able to trigger the Sacrificial Fragments cooldown reset with Barbara no problem :) Which is a big help considering how long the cooldown is otherwise. You just need to be right beside an enemy when you use her skill.
Having ayaka on some early Inazuma's quests is like cheating the game especially when fighting Raiden for the first time and when the visions are locked, she still can apply and deal cryo every time after she's sprinting 😂
Worth mentioning about c2 Ayaka's extra burst hits is that it also changes how you play around the ICD on her burst. This mainly applies if you're trying to experiment with various forward/reverse melt setups for Ayaka. Also, obligatory Ganyu is better than Ayaka in Abyss because of Melt teams. Rumor has it that the next group of Spiral enemies are gonna include Wenut, Ruin Serpent, and Aeonblight Drake. Ranged Ganyu will be eating well then.
I pulled Kokomi, Kazuha, Shenhe and Mistsplitter just for Ayaka as a f2p lol. I was really crazy for her when i started playing and she was my favorite character for a long time
Her c1 isn't useless at all😅. It actually allows her to get away with 115-120 er tbh. It reduces her e-skill cool down, and each of her CA slashes can trigger her cool down reduction, allowing for more e-skill casts. When timed perfectly you can do an additional e-skill cast in the 10sec cooldown. I'd say getting her c1 is pretty amazing if u wanna be a low spender. Also her c1 kinda works perfectly with the Haran as it gives the 40%NA when proced and you wanna do as many NA and CA to reduce e-skill cooldown.
cryo has always been my favorite element in any game ice and cold related stuff is really cool all pun intended so either mono cryo or freeze shall still be my main even tho i dont have ayaka yet

for the teams section you forgot yelan, yes you would have to weave in some normals to get her hydro app to work but she can also buff ayaka if you don't have furina
Solid video. Great stuff! I did want to mention that 4 piece Emblem can be worthwhile on monocryo teams for Ayaka. In those cases you're not taking full advantage of the 4 piece bonus of Blizzard Strayer and the burst buff can be nice. You'd probably have to put it into an optimizer calculator based on your own artifacts and weapons to see which is better. For me, I have cracked emblem pieces with tons of crit stats and I have the mistsplitter so emblem tends to work better.
3:22 this is really funny because as SOON as I pulled Venti I immediately and very specifically replaced Kazuha in this team. I’m probably gonna replace Koko with Furina as soon as I can too. I don’t care about meta as we can tell 😅 just going ham with some of my favorites
That's the team I used to use. Ayaka, Shenhe, kokomi, venti. Weirdly enough I always want hydro to imbue his burst. It used to be so amazing when everything is easily frozen and even if they're big but still gets pulled slightly.
I’m glad that you listed this as C0 in the label. I feel like it’s worth mentioning how her ceiling does go much higher than many of the “better at c0” units which often use reactions. Ayakas 10 constellations (c4 ayaka and c6 Shenhe) do give her an absurd ceiling. Definitely not for new players, but as a day 1 ftp, I have c6 ayaka and will have c6 Shenhe on shenhes next banner.

@@real_rutmen I’m a day 1 player. Maybe 1 year of welkin and 3 battlepasses (so $90 across my 3 years). I have like 20+ limited 5 stars. I have 10+ teams I can’t even play, so I figured maybe as well meme and make my ayaka a true queen, rather than keep pulling for new 5 stars that I’ll never use. We get 90 pulls a patch, they have to go somewhere.
Early game I had Beidou, Xiangling and Xinyan carrying me. Then I got Ayaka by accident a few months ago while trying to get a 4 star I wanted and I definitely don’t feel like I wasted that guarantee. Ayaka was a godsend at a time when my increasing WL was making content harder for me because I’m not a highly skilled player. I played her everyday for months until I lost a 50/50 to Keqing (also no regrets there either). But I still use Aya regularly for domain and bossy fights. Don’t have Shenhe, but have her on Isshin with a decent 4pc BS and play her with Layla on Fav and her busrt is always ready on cooldown. Thanks for giving her some much deserved love and attention!
Ye, getting kaching was the best thing that happened to me ^^ (i think from standard wish), only replaced by nuvi when i got him I dont use ayaka anymore but i dont regret pulling for her, made oceanid a breeze until kaching team got better with fishl (i had a few hydros to lvl up, lol). I guess can i still use her on enemies with electric shields cos she melts them, but atm not doing bosses/domains and for regular mobs like fatui i just brute force them with nuvi.
ayaka is one of the first 5-stars i ever got way back when, and she's been my fav character (and number one crutch) ever since. that said, i'm probably not pulling for her on this banner (unless the four stars are really good) since cons aren't the most impactful vertical investment and i don't have enough primos to feel comfortable going for the weapon. i'm planning on saving for the rumored upcoming shenhe rerun instead, to help my girl reach her full potential.
For people who don't have kazuha and shenhe for ayaka hear me out. A really good ayaka team for the current abyss (4.2 floor 12 first half) is with Furina, xingqui and Charlotte. Xingqui and Charlotte provide just enough healing and defence to be able to survive the insane incoming damage. But Charlotte needs to have a huge amount of ER to burst on cooldown. Other than lack of grouping this team shreds the abyss like a charm. Was able to 36 star the abyss with a hu Tao, yelan, fischl and Noelle team on the other side
The Furina, Xingqiu, and Charlotte trio is so effective that you can choose just about any reaction on-fielder to run with them and expect good results. Right now I'm running Hu Tao, and the team absolutely slaps.
Given the amount you spoke about Finale of the Deep, I'm surprised you didn't mention the other new sword option we got with Fontaine that looks like it has the potential to be a very good weapon on Ayaka. The new battle pass weapon Wolf-Fang increases skill + burst damage, and while the rest of its passive effects do mean you can run the risk of overcapping on crit rate, the direct increase to her burst damage is extremely useful.
I've had Ayaka since she came out and I think this video is great. Can't think of much to add. Shenhe feels better with C1 but doesn't need it. Ayaka's only good con is C4 but doesn't need it. If it's raining, she is unstoppable. Barbra is great because her E moves with you until it gets you frozen. Diona gives a ton of cryo particles.
Three teams I would go for: Ayaka Shenhe Kokomi Kazuha - dont need to explain why this is highest dps that is relatively safe to use... Ayaka Diona Mona Kazuha - Diona is the defensive support + cryo resonance, then Mona just gives you the Omen debuff at your disposal. Sacrificial Bow lets Diona battery without needing crits. Ayaka Rosaria Kokomi Kazuha - Allows Ayaka to go even LOWER with her crit rate by up to 15% less. 30% is her hardcap with this team when Rosaria's stuff is at 100% crit rate and decent ER. The 3rd is that I use at the moment, but mine's nowhere near at its best possible performance right now. Rosaria's missing her Noblesse set boost, Kokomi isn't on 4pc ToTM, and Ayaka's artifacts have nearly 50% def rolls from her placeholder artifacts...
@@stylerxo3654 yeah up to 40% cryo dmg and 40% cryo res shred. Zhongli gives 20% res shred and 20% atk on ToM or 35% cryo dmg with petra, you lose some damage from ayaka + kazuha + layla but you get some from Ganyu, team wide DPS should be around the same since Ganyu is also buffed by Shenhe and she gives 20% cryo dmg to the character on field.
I am planning to get her (Ayaka) in 4.3!! From what I have seen, Ayaka has a rather comfy playstyle and does a lot of damage. I have a really 4pc blizzard set for her just by using the strongbox.

Newer player - Plan is to pull Ayaka and Mistsplitter and build my two teams. Team 1: Ayaka, Furina, Kazuha, Charlotte. Team 2: Ayato, Qingqiu, then either Xingliang Bennet or Nahida Kuki (when Nahida runs) Any thoughts or advice would be cool. Thanks
I'll play my upcoming Ayaka probably with Kaeya and Barbara (or Diona and Xinqui) and Kazuha for now [both my favorite male+female character on one team, finally, yay! Saving is worth it!]. Don't own Kokomi or Shenhe. I am not even sure if I want Shenhe at all and Barb fullfills an F2P Kokomi role with less hydro apllication, but it's fine for me for now so I can focus on getting other characters I like more.
I did use chongyun instead of shenhe for the longest time tbh. He works just as well as Rosaria, and is even better for frontloaded damage, while rosaria requires enemies to stay in her ult, wich is not always possible. It will also reduce ayaka's skill at higher constellations in his skill's circle and ayaka doesn't have to dash when she's in his circle to apply cryo on auto attacks, you wont get ayaka's buff though. Pretty fun having him there. He can also battery her with a sacrificial. That being said, I think Melt will get a comeback when the new nation will come out, as well as overload teams and geo teams. I just have a hunch. When the last nation, snezhnaya comes out, freeze will get a comeback, cryo as a whole anyway.
I will cook for Ayaka's team with Furina, Charlotte, and Kazuha, I think that it will be so delicious, and it’s: giving Charlotte TTDS, while giving her Nobless, and ER% Sands, and Healing Circlet, and give Furina ToM; with Fav, and give Kazuha Fav, while giving Ayaka the Craftable Fontaine Sword - The Finale of the Deep R5. I think with that combo; it will just make it better than her team with Shenhe, and Kokomei…

I already have her weapon and somewhat tempted to get Ayaka but I want Arlechino. The only reason I started thinking about her is because I was bored and triple crowned Aloy with some crazy blizzard strayer set pieces.
I've had Ayaka since her first banner, and got Shenhe and Kokomi last year. So, I have been missing one component to her best team this whole time...but I did get Furina AND C6 Charlotte lmao. Sooo, yea I have been playing around with that squad also. I love using Venti with Ayaka when the enemies are Venti-able lol.
I still remember the Genshin YT community treating Shenhe like Kokomi and Kazuha before. Meanwhile I was thinking, she should work with my Ayaka team. And ever since my Ayaka team is complete. Shenhe C1, Fav lance, ATK/Crit 2x2piece sets Kokomi C0, Dragontails, Noblesse Kazuha C0, Xiphos, Venerer Ayaka C3, R2, Blizzard strayer It is still one of my strongest teams.
Ayaya! Ayaya! Anyways really happy you made this video. She's my first limited 5-star and the first character that I paid money to get, and the thing I love about her the most is her armor. She has actually protective armor unlike most of Genshin's characters. I also pulled for Mistsplitter during the same banner which got me very far in Genshin before I benched her 2 months ago. Had made some horrible artifacts and pulling decisions and now wanting to rebuild her. Also for the Sucrose team, why not apply cryo with Ayaka's sprint, swirl cryo, then do the rest of the rotation and swirling cryo again when Ayaka's using her burst to apply the resistance reduction again?
i have her with 33% crit rate, and I’m hoping to get mona c4 one day lol. My spyral abyss ayaka team is shenhe, kazuha, mona, ayaka. Don’t need a healer👍 (its acctually quite confortable cuz of freeze reaction)
They somehow made freeze unplayable bc even with dendro morgana team is insane, that's why we don't have 1 wave of a lot of mobs (even something like 3 mirror maidens or more). I'm not sure but maybe even burgeon would be better if this happens
The ER needs depends on the player but personally i'd run 120% er on ayaka and then xiphos moonlight on kazuha to cover the extra need for er and atleast for me it was very easy to get high er on kazuha so never felt the need for favonius. Also for attack i would aim for atleast 2.1k with 45 cr and around 260%+ cd. Then if continuing to build from there i'd try to increase the atk since the critdamage start to feel less valuable compared to the attack gained.
Great video! Disagree about vertically investing with Ayaka not helping your account. Her c4 shreds Def for anyone so that's good. I've got c6 r5 use her all the time in lots of different teams.
I first got ayaka specificaly for oceanid, my teams at the time just could not stay alive and needed perma freeze. Since i built my kaching team she kinda replaced ayaka on oceanid now, way faster clear (not to mention new unfreazable hydro bosses) Tried to use her in overworld but felt meh at best (still prefered diluc and kaching).and only recently started doing abyss (i think i got 0 stars floor 12 but did not use ayaka) Part of it might be her teams, everything i paired with her felt janky at best. Had no sucrose/venti/kazuha, still dont have shenhe and kokomi, 4* cryos were lvl 50 (now 70 as part of free fate farming spree), i mostly used chongyun to save up stamina Now that i have characters i might try out your suggested team. I got furina for collection as my first archon and im looking up her teams (still kinda lacking jean and dendro dude as healers, so i guess charlote, mika and noelle my options here, unless im willing to swap alot with bennet or spend field time on yaya)
Thoughts on using a giga god roll crit rate circlet? I got a crit rate circlet with all rolls into crit damage, still better to use crit dmg with 2-3 rolls into rate?

I don’t think that’s optimal? You can just give her teammates Fav; since all of them are supports. Your idea can be good if you play her in melt team; since she got a lot of ER% requirements.
I have C2 ayaka + mistspliter, shenhe, kazuha, kokomi and C2 furina. I played with her previously , but i dont like it after a few times After watching this video, I try her out at abyss again, i still think Ayaka burst position is very important, and i have to retry a few times eventhough i have the 'premium' team. I will still stick back with Furina + Noelle. is so fun and flexible Sorry, Ayaka + Shenhe, you girls is back to benches again XD
I missed Kazuha on his last banner. So I'm stuck using Sucrose instead. Will Kazuha or Shenhe be a greater improvement to Ayaka? Since she doesn't do reactions, I find her very hard to play against enemies that are cryo resistant.
I've gotta farm more Blizzard Strayer. I have some pieces that seem totally cracked with their crit stats but her ER is lacking a lot and not a lot of atk% rolls going alongside those crit substats. I used to pretty much just play Ayaka and not bother with abyss because I didn't have two teams. Also have been a mostly casual player until now, so the verticle investment I did for my Ayaka was not as intense as people tend to think of when thinking of vertically investing characters. Still, she was very good, her being my first "real" main after overcoming my new player Razor main syndrome. But ever since I got Furina, I've been actually building more teams and Ayaka is now my second best team after my bloom team and it's not particularly close. Even Razor is actually starting to catch up again (building thundering furry.) I need to rethink her artifacts a bit so I can actually use her burst, or build her supports much better. ...they are all admittedly barely even half-built. Maybe fully built supports on Fav will cover that ER weakness and I can keep my great CV on her. Anyways very long post because Ayaka was my first main and without her I probably wouldn't have ever realized Genshin was a deeper game than "hit enemy with big sword and sometimes a wolf". I have Bennett C6. How would Ayaka/Bennett/Nahida/Xiangling perform? I could run Ayaka/Charlotte/Furina/Kazuha but I hate how Furina and Charlotte feel to play and don’t like the prospect of grinding Blizzard strayer.

How do you deal with Kazuha's plunge? It feels discouraging to play when he plunges and shatters the enemies dispering them after successfully grouping them. All for nothing unless you have c2 Ayaka
I agree with pretty much everything, but was very surprised when you compared her to Cocogoat. They are both my most liked characters and i can say, Ayaka can not hold a candle to Melt Cocogoat damage. Not in DPS not in case of convenience. Cocogoat completely unique character. She is easiest to use by far. She do not need burst or skill or ER. I love Ayaka, but Cocogoat reaps through abyss much more efficiently.
@@hallyuniverse I wouldn't bank on this at all. We could be talking end of 4.4 for Shenhe and Furina in 4.5 (if Nahida somehow comes in 4.4 with Cloud Retainer).
Look for a Kazuha rerun or a banner that features Sucrose. There's also a chance you could get Jean on a 50/50, and her value has risen considerably since Furina came out.
@@Lennis01 i started playing in 3.8 so right after kazuha's banner, i skipped venti because don't have enough primos and no banner has have sucrose featured. Hope sucrose will be included in paimon's bargain

Forgot to mention using ayato with her. It works, but it’s not insane. Run him with fav. It’s nicer if you can go without a healer or shielder because you lose damage if you don’t, but if you have to use charlotte or Layla so be it. Not recommended for comfy abyss clears but it’s definitely usable for fun.
except the last abyss cycle (where i ran furina), i always run ayaka with ayato just because i love the idea that big bro ayato supports his lil sis. I haven't full starred abyss 12 yet (my goal is only 30 stars every cycle because the effort to get 6 more stars for 100 more primos don't feel that rewarding to me), but im super happy playing the two of them against the hardest contents XD

4:13 people don’t usually talk about this, but Xingqiu’s rain swords also apply hydro the way Barbara’s ring does. So you can actually get some consistent aoe app out of him if you really hug the enemies. It’s very good for an Ayaka that stays on field to charged attack or sprint.
Xingqiu’s rain swords also benefit Ayaka in that you get even closer to mimicking Vergil’s moveset

I have wanted Ayaka ever since I saw that gorgeous cutscene in her story quest and the 'Tsubaki in Thawing Snow' trailer. I love her, and everything her character represents. Justice, family, resilience, dignity and quiet rebellion. Everytime her theme plays when I'm in Inazuma I get goosebumps. Yu-Peng Chen is a musical genius. I have 230 wishes saved for my ice princess!

Been an Ayaka main since her first banner! I first saw her on the main trailer of genshin, I wanted her already and have been hyped for her since. She has never disappointed. Carries me in abyss and domains with freeze comps. Great ice bridge for overworld exploration.

And also a very satisfying gameplay experience. Her whole kit is utilized. No useless normals, skill isn't just for particles or 3h long, burst doesn't force you to stay on field and gives you raw damage. And the permanent freeze is super satisfying too
Since Ayaka's dash applies cryo with no ICD whenever she pops up, she has the best cryo application for breaking shields. You can finish off hydro lectors just by spamming dash into them.

I am a day 1 Ayaka main (top 1% formerly, but I’ve fallen to top 7% since stopped farming sadly) and I have been really surprised at how much I love the Furina Charlotte variant of her teams. It feels much more consistent and comfortable than the Shenhe variant to me. If any of you have lost interest in Ayaka over the years y’all should definitely try it out.
Ayaya...My 2nd 5 star over a year and a half ago. Her first team was with Kaeya, Sucrose, and Barbara. So nostalgic lol
For anyone on the fence I think the most important thing to consider is whether or not you like a little tryhard. Ayaka isn't nearly as comfy as a lot of other characters. My Ayaka is absolutely cracked being one of my strongest built characters at 99/263 with 144 ER and one of only 3 character I've pulled weapon for... but despite that I actually don't play her very often because it's just kinda too much work when others can achieve similar clears more easily and reliably. That said, when I am in the mood to play her right she deletes anything that isn't immune and it can be very satisfying to get a clean run with her.
Also it is nice that her weapon is extremely generalist so if you do decide to go for that vertical investment it will never be wasted even if Ayaka is chillin' on the bench.
I absolutely love how quick swap oriented she is. Her teams feel so active and engaging. Your stats are good enough that you shouldn’t have issues 36ing the abyss even without perfect freezes
@@dylanhicks4771 Yeah my Ayaka can 36* using only charged attacks lol, but that's not fun or really the point of her kit and most players considering whether or not to pull her won't be looking at damage like that out of the gate. If you actually need her burst to connect to clear she can be unreliable and frustrating if you don't like having to reset sometimes when her targeting misbehaves and sends her burst into the void or the high hp enemy unfreezes for a sec and teleports away.
I played her for a long time with amenoma and much lesser stats before going for her weapon on a rerun and one of the reasons I went for her weapon, aside from its high general value, is because I find she can get tedious to play if she isn't so cracked that you can afford to have half her damage miss.
This! Not only she's not very easy to properly play, she require some good rolls on artifacts on her and her team, and some other premium characters are really needed. Kazuha, who's very good on most teams, and, IMO, Kokomi, because without her you basically have to either play with Barbara who's kinda difficult to use in this team, Diona, so you damage will be lower, or play without proper healer, that is even harder.
Cryo immune characters are such a pain... I tried to make Ayaka my 2nd main (1st is Yoimiya), and since Freeze team doesn't do reactions, I'm sometimes stuck in some situations where she suddenly feels so weak.

Regarding her teams, I recommend the Furina/Charlotte/Anemo version even to seasoned Ayaka players. Better damage profile, more quickswap, more comfortable.
been using this and seriously finding anything worth a challenge. It is just so smooth with furina's hydro and charolette's team wide healing and Jean's as well.
I am more used to the kokomi, shenhe team. I don't struggle with damage, so I'm not gonna try to fix smth that isn't broken baha

and shenhe is sort of low value unit. like you only pull for her if you have Ayaka, Shenhe or Ganyu(but Wrio honestly feels better in melt Teams that include a dendro or oven. while Ganyu is more for true melt teams or more like a jack of all trades master of none.
I have ayaka and the craftable inazuma sword. I use her with venti or sucrose bediou and xinqio and I find that she is really strong .
Tbh, I would say the most irreplaceable character for Ayaka is Shenhe, Kazuha can be replaced by Venti when there are tons of enemies who can be grouped.
(The damage boost by Shenhe is so great when I compare my Ayaka without Shenhe Vs people's Ayaka with Shenhe)
Furinas c2 dmg buff is comparable, especially if you account for her personal dmg as well. Shenhe will probably still provide ayaka the bigger numbers tho it that’s what your looking for.

Yes, I 've been waiting for this video! I love my Ayaka but, I didn't want her "premium team". Then Furina showed up! She's changed everything for my Ayaka! Nothing better than a hydro that follows you around and boosts your damage! I have yet to clear spiral at all but, blame my f2p build, hate of artifact farming and less than a year old account.

She can, though not that effectively. The initial spin of her skill (before it becomes music) deals a single instance of hydro damage.
I can confirm, I've reliably been able to trigger the Sacrificial Fragments cooldown reset with Barbara no problem :) Which is a big help considering how long the cooldown is otherwise. You just need to be right beside an enemy when you use her skill.

Having ayaka on some early Inazuma's quests is like cheating the game especially when fighting Raiden for the first time and when the visions are locked, she still can apply and deal cryo every time after she's sprinting 😂
Worth mentioning about c2 Ayaka's extra burst hits is that it also changes how you play around the ICD on her burst. This mainly applies if you're trying to experiment with various forward/reverse melt setups for Ayaka.
Also, obligatory Ganyu is better than Ayaka in Abyss because of Melt teams. Rumor has it that the next group of Spiral enemies are gonna include Wenut, Ruin Serpent, and Aeonblight Drake. Ranged Ganyu will be eating well then.

Her c1 isn't useless at all😅. It actually allows her to get away with 115-120 er tbh. It reduces her e-skill cool down, and each of her CA slashes can trigger her cool down reduction, allowing for more e-skill casts. When timed perfectly you can do an additional e-skill cast in the 10sec cooldown. I'd say getting her c1 is pretty amazing if u wanna be a low spender. Also her c1 kinda works perfectly with the Haran as it gives the 40%NA when proced and you wanna do as many NA and CA to reduce e-skill cooldown.

for the teams section you forgot yelan, yes you would have to weave in some normals to get her hydro app to work but she can also buff ayaka if you don't have furina
Solid video. Great stuff! I did want to mention that 4 piece Emblem can be worthwhile on monocryo teams for Ayaka. In those cases you're not taking full advantage of the 4 piece bonus of Blizzard Strayer and the burst buff can be nice. You'd probably have to put it into an optimizer calculator based on your own artifacts and weapons to see which is better. For me, I have cracked emblem pieces with tons of crit stats and I have the mistsplitter so emblem tends to work better.
3:22 this is really funny because as SOON as I pulled Venti I immediately and very specifically replaced Kazuha in this team. I’m probably gonna replace Koko with Furina as soon as I can too. I don’t care about meta as we can tell 😅 just going ham with some of my favorites
That's the team I used to use. Ayaka, Shenhe, kokomi, venti. Weirdly enough I always want hydro to imbue his burst. It used to be so amazing when everything is easily frozen and even if they're big but still gets pulled slightly.

If you want to use ayaka in the overworld I would avoid using finale of the deep because it gets annoying always having to heal the bond of life
Damage wise, "Ayaya/Shenhe/Kazuha/Mona" (with prototype amber) comp is still best, even after Furina release

I’m glad that you listed this as C0 in the label. I feel like it’s worth mentioning how her ceiling does go much higher than many of the “better at c0” units which often use reactions. Ayakas 10 constellations (c4 ayaka and c6 Shenhe) do give her an absurd ceiling. Definitely not for new players, but as a day 1 ftp, I have c6 ayaka and will have c6 Shenhe on shenhes next banner.

Early game I had Beidou, Xiangling and Xinyan carrying me. Then I got Ayaka by accident a few months ago while trying to get a 4 star I wanted and I definitely don’t feel like I wasted that guarantee. Ayaka was a godsend at a time when my increasing WL was making content harder for me because I’m not a highly skilled player. I played her everyday for months until I lost a 50/50 to Keqing (also no regrets there either). But I still use Aya regularly for domain and bossy fights. Don’t have Shenhe, but have her on Isshin with a decent 4pc BS and play her with Layla on Fav and her busrt is always ready on cooldown. Thanks for giving her some much deserved love and attention!

I dont use ayaka anymore but i dont regret pulling for her, made oceanid a breeze until kaching team got better with fishl (i had a few hydros to lvl up, lol).
I guess can i still use her on enemies with electric shields cos she melts them, but atm not doing bosses/domains and for regular mobs like fatui i just brute force them with nuvi.

ayaka is one of the first 5-stars i ever got way back when, and she's been my fav character (and number one crutch) ever since. that said, i'm probably not pulling for her on this banner (unless the four stars are really good) since cons aren't the most impactful vertical investment and i don't have enough primos to feel comfortable going for the weapon. i'm planning on saving for the rumored upcoming shenhe rerun instead, to help my girl reach her full potential.
For people who don't have kazuha and shenhe for ayaka hear me out. A really good ayaka team for the current abyss (4.2 floor 12 first half) is with Furina, xingqui and Charlotte. Xingqui and Charlotte provide just enough healing and defence to be able to survive the insane incoming damage. But Charlotte needs to have a huge amount of ER to burst on cooldown. Other than lack of grouping this team shreds the abyss like a charm. Was able to 36 star the abyss with a hu Tao, yelan, fischl and Noelle team on the other side
The Furina, Xingqiu, and Charlotte trio is so effective that you can choose just about any reaction on-fielder to run with them and expect good results. Right now I'm running Hu Tao, and the team absolutely slaps.
Oooo that's a nice team. Gotta try this out. Imagine hu Tao forward melting once or twice in the rotation 🫨. Although I doubt that will ever happen 😅
She is my first 5 star i got her luckily on her release, and till now she is the most powerful character in my entire genshin character list🔥
Given the amount you spoke about Finale of the Deep, I'm surprised you didn't mention the other new sword option we got with Fontaine that looks like it has the potential to be a very good weapon on Ayaka. The new battle pass weapon Wolf-Fang increases skill + burst damage, and while the rest of its passive effects do mean you can run the risk of overcapping on crit rate, the direct increase to her burst damage is extremely useful.
Great points about how Shenhe has become a bit more of a valuable pickup with how the abyss content has changed. Finale is such a nice f2p option

I've had Ayaka since she came out and I think this video is great. Can't think of much to add. Shenhe feels better with C1 but doesn't need it. Ayaka's only good con is C4 but doesn't need it. If it's raining, she is unstoppable. Barbra is great because her E moves with you until it gets you frozen. Diona gives a ton of cryo particles.

Three teams I would go for:
Ayaka Shenhe Kokomi Kazuha - dont need to explain why this is highest dps that is relatively safe to use...
Ayaka Diona Mona Kazuha - Diona is the defensive support + cryo resonance, then Mona just gives you the Omen debuff at your disposal. Sacrificial Bow lets Diona battery without needing crits.
Ayaka Rosaria Kokomi Kazuha - Allows Ayaka to go even LOWER with her crit rate by up to 15% less. 30% is her hardcap with this team when Rosaria's stuff is at 100% crit rate and decent ER.
The 3rd is that I use at the moment, but mine's nowhere near at its best possible performance right now. Rosaria's missing her Noblesse set boost, Kokomi isn't on 4pc ToTM, and Ayaka's artifacts have nearly 50% def rolls from her placeholder artifacts...
Ayaka Ganyu Shenhe Zhongli is also a solid and fun mono cryo team for bossing or when you can't group and freeze
Kazuha does more thanjust group enemies for mono-elemental teams lmao. He is easily a must for any non-geo/dendro mono-elemental team.
@@stylerxo3654 yeah up to 40% cryo dmg and 40% cryo res shred. Zhongli gives 20% res shred and 20% atk on ToM or 35% cryo dmg with petra, you lose some damage from ayaka + kazuha + layla but you get some from Ganyu, team wide DPS should be around the same since Ganyu is also buffed by Shenhe and she gives 20% cryo dmg to the character on field.
I am planning to get her (Ayaka) in 4.3!! From what I have seen, Ayaka has a rather comfy playstyle and does a lot of damage. I have a really 4pc blizzard set for her just by using the strongbox.

Newer player - Plan is to pull Ayaka and Mistsplitter and build my two teams. Team 1: Ayaka, Furina, Kazuha, Charlotte. Team 2: Ayato, Qingqiu, then either Xingliang Bennet or Nahida Kuki (when Nahida runs)

I'll play my upcoming Ayaka probably with Kaeya and Barbara (or Diona and Xinqui) and Kazuha for now [both my favorite male+female character on one team, finally, yay! Saving is worth it!].
Don't own Kokomi or Shenhe.
I am not even sure if I want Shenhe at all and Barb fullfills an F2P Kokomi role with less hydro apllication, but it's fine for me for now so I can focus on getting other characters I like more.
I did use chongyun instead of shenhe for the longest time tbh. He works just as well as Rosaria, and is even better for frontloaded damage, while rosaria requires enemies to stay in her ult, wich is not always possible. It will also reduce ayaka's skill at higher constellations in his skill's circle and ayaka doesn't have to dash when she's in his circle to apply cryo on auto attacks, you wont get ayaka's buff though.
Pretty fun having him there. He can also battery her with a sacrificial.
That being said, I think Melt will get a comeback when the new nation will come out, as well as overload teams and geo teams. I just have a hunch. When the last nation, snezhnaya comes out, freeze will get a comeback, cryo as a whole anyway.
I will cook for Ayaka's team with Furina, Charlotte, and Kazuha, I think that it will be so delicious, and it’s: giving Charlotte TTDS, while giving her Nobless, and ER% Sands, and Healing Circlet, and give Furina ToM; with Fav, and give Kazuha Fav, while giving Ayaka the Craftable Fontaine Sword - The Finale of the Deep R5. I think with that combo; it will just make it better than her team with Shenhe, and Kokomei…

Ayaya! Ayaya! Anyways really happy you made this video. She's my first limited 5-star and the first character that I paid money to get, and the thing I love about her the most is her armor. She has actually protective armor unlike most of Genshin's characters. I also pulled for Mistsplitter during the same banner which got me very far in Genshin before I benched her 2 months ago. Had made some horrible artifacts and pulling decisions and now wanting to rebuild her. Also for the Sucrose team, why not apply cryo with Ayaka's sprint, swirl cryo, then do the rest of the rotation and swirling cryo again when Ayaka's using her burst to apply the resistance reduction again?
Since you want sucrose on TTDS it makes the rotation funky

My spyral abyss ayaka team is shenhe, kazuha, mona, ayaka.
Don’t need a healer👍 (its acctually quite confortable cuz of freeze reaction)
Use prototype amber on mona for healing
They somehow made freeze unplayable bc even with dendro morgana team is insane, that's why we don't have 1 wave of a lot of mobs (even something like 3 mirror maidens or more).
I'm not sure but maybe even burgeon would be better if this happens
The ER needs depends on the player but personally i'd run 120% er on ayaka and then xiphos moonlight on kazuha to cover the extra need for er and atleast for me it was very easy to get high er on kazuha so never felt the need for favonius. Also for attack i would aim for atleast 2.1k with 45 cr and around 260%+ cd. Then if continuing to build from there i'd try to increase the atk since the critdamage start to feel less valuable compared to the attack gained.

Great video! Disagree about vertically investing with Ayaka not helping your account. Her c4 shreds Def for anyone so that's good. I've got c6 r5 use her all the time in lots of different teams.

I first got ayaka specificaly for oceanid, my teams at the time just could not stay alive and needed perma freeze.
Since i built my kaching team she kinda replaced ayaka on oceanid now, way faster clear (not to mention new unfreazable hydro bosses)
Tried to use her in overworld but felt meh at best (still prefered diluc and kaching).and only recently started doing abyss (i think i got 0 stars floor 12 but did not use ayaka)
Part of it might be her teams, everything i paired with her felt janky at best.
Had no sucrose/venti/kazuha, still dont have shenhe and kokomi, 4* cryos were lvl 50 (now 70 as part of free fate farming spree), i mostly used chongyun to save up stamina
Now that i have characters i might try out your suggested team.
I got furina for collection as my first archon and im looking up her teams (still kinda lacking jean and dendro dude as healers, so i guess charlote, mika and noelle my options here, unless im willing to swap alot with bennet or spend field time on yaya)

Thoughts on using a giga god roll crit rate circlet? I got a crit rate circlet with all rolls into crit damage, still better to use crit dmg with 2-3 rolls into rate?

I don’t think that’s optimal? You can just give her teammates Fav; since all of them are supports. Your idea can be good if you play her in melt team; since she got a lot of ER% requirements.
I have C2 ayaka + mistspliter, shenhe, kazuha, kokomi and C2 furina.
I played with her previously , but i dont like it after a few times
After watching this video, I try her out at abyss again, i still think Ayaka burst position is very important, and i have to retry a few times eventhough i have the 'premium' team.
I will still stick back with Furina + Noelle. is so fun and flexible

I missed Kazuha on his last banner. So I'm stuck using Sucrose instead. Will Kazuha or Shenhe be a greater improvement to Ayaka?
Since she doesn't do reactions, I find her very hard to play against enemies that are cryo resistant.
Pull kazuha and use a better team like national instead

I've gotta farm more Blizzard Strayer. I have some pieces that seem totally cracked with their crit stats but her ER is lacking a lot and not a lot of atk% rolls going alongside those crit substats.
I used to pretty much just play Ayaka and not bother with abyss because I didn't have two teams. Also have been a mostly casual player until now, so the verticle investment I did for my Ayaka was not as intense as people tend to think of when thinking of vertically investing characters. Still, she was very good, her being my first "real" main after overcoming my new player Razor main syndrome.
But ever since I got Furina, I've been actually building more teams and Ayaka is now my second best team after my bloom team and it's not particularly close. Even Razor is actually starting to catch up again (building thundering furry.)
I need to rethink her artifacts a bit so I can actually use her burst, or build her supports much better.
...they are all admittedly barely even half-built. Maybe fully built supports on Fav will cover that ER weakness and I can keep my great CV on her.
Anyways very long post because Ayaka was my first main and without her I probably wouldn't have ever realized Genshin was a deeper game than "hit enemy with big sword and sometimes a wolf". Great video as always :)

Did you know ganyu burst also does damage up? Ut might be worth doing ganyu ayaka furina and some wind
Only thing im sad about is the inevitability of dethroned bennet when fire archon is pullable
How do you deal with Kazuha's plunge? It feels discouraging to play when he plunges and shatters the enemies dispering them after successfully grouping them. All for nothing unless you have c2 Ayaka
I agree with pretty much everything, but was very surprised when you compared her to Cocogoat. They are both my most liked characters and i can say, Ayaka can not hold a candle to Melt Cocogoat damage. Not in DPS not in case of convenience. Cocogoat completely unique character. She is easiest to use by far. She do not need burst or skill or ER. I love Ayaka, but Cocogoat reaps through abyss much more efficiently.
I want her. I need a good cryo dps. She is the most tempting so far. I hope I can win my 50/50 and get her otherwise…well…next time ig 😅

Look for a Kazuha rerun or a banner that features Sucrose. There's also a chance you could get Jean on a 50/50, and her value has risen considerably since Furina came out.
@@Lennis01 i started playing in 3.8 so right after kazuha's banner, i skipped venti because don't have enough primos and no banner has have sucrose featured. Hope sucrose will be included in paimon's bargain
I just got my 5 Star that wasn't Ayato on my Character banner so my next 5 Star should be the main Banner Character right? Which would be Ayaka. I hope that's how it works lol I'd like to get Raiden tho next month
