I just jump with qiqi from the jade chamber as a sacrifice to celestia and then let nahida do her idle animation with a swing near qiqi's dead body, works everytime lol
Started 2 days ago on xbox launch, had saved up 40 wishes and your vid motivated me to give Chasca banner a try. Got her on 4th pull, the dopamine is real xD
Fun fact: not to hate on the creator but, it doesn't actually matter who you pull for, even if you pull a Qiqi, it's fine as long as you get who you are WANTING the most. For example, my friend asked me if she should get arlecchino, for her pros, or wanderer, because she wants him. I told her to get wanderer because that's who she wants. I don't mind if you listen to the videos advice, but I recommend to pull for who you want more than who you need for good dmg. (Besides, any character can do good dmg if well built even barbara)
wanderer is fun to play with, but you gotta think about the pros and cons to get long term value for your account. trust me, speaking from experience, i also followed this "pull for likes, not meta" advice, and ended up pulling characters simply because i liked them. now i have like 4-5 neglected 5 stars that i never use. its honestly depressing to see ive wasted so much primogems on characters just because i liked them, and then regretting because they arent fun/ or good. i only realized this mistake recently, as i started actually analyzing characters to pull for BOTH in terms of damage and gameplay satisfaction. the "dont pull for meta" is such a toxic advice, especially for beginner players. you should analyze and think about the pros and cons, and pull for characters that provide long term value(which also includes gameplay satisfaction as most people think im talking abt just damage or meta here). trust me being f2p, strategizing and planning to build a strong account is so much more rewarding than people think it is. its a huge source of enjoyment for many people.
My personal advice, don't pull for meta, pull for fun I pulled ganyu as my first five star because I read everywhere online she was really good and then when I got her I realized how much I hated her gameplay of just charge shotting over and over. Her power level was irrelevant to me and I didn't particularly like her character either, she still remains one of my least used characters
Got bored after 43 seconds. So here's my advice: save your Primos as long as possible until a character comes out you like very much. Because i did the mistake to just pull blind on every banner and i got some 5 stars i dont even use now (Ayato, Clorinde, Xiao, Yae Miko and some others). And i'm f2p so it's very very easy to get very much primos in litle time.
Im guessing you pulled from the beginner pack? I just started playing about 2 weeks ago, and I pulled 7 characters in my 20 beginner pack pulls. Noelle is guaranteed and I pulled Sucrose, Rosaria, Ningguang, Lynette, Chongyun, and Barbara on top of it. Every character pull I've had since then has been a duplicate. I've pulled Barbara 4 times, I'm starting to get sick of seeing her lmao
Pulling strats: -Getting a 5 star character takes on average 160 pulls. Anything below 160 is very lucky. Make sure you have 160 pulls before starting to pull. Never assume an early. -While counting, losing a 50/50 raises your pullcount to 80. If you lose a 50/50 but it was early, this is lucky. -Do not ever farm pity above 40, do not farm pity with a 50/50 built up, and never farm it on a character you never want to use. The universe makes pulling an early and winning the 50/50 significantly more likely if you don't want it to happen. Be prepared. -Never pull for 4 stars. This is a trap. There is no guarantee you are ever getting the 4 star you want, not even after a thousand wishes. -Never pull on weapons. They are not worth it. They cost 240 pulls, they don't have a personality, animations, voicelines, mechanics, you barely see them ingame, and you are plenty strong to 36 star abyss without it. Weapons are for people with more money than sense. -Stop pulling immediately after getting your 5star. Don't be a fool and splurge the rest hoping for a lucky c1 or a good 4star because "you had it saved up anyway". Every time you click the 10pull, it's like a week of your life to build it back again for free.
Man, i really wish i‘ve seen this sooner. I was pulling for gaming in 4.4 and i got lucky and lost my 5050 to keqing at thirty pity. I was happy because I had guarunteed for furina, but then i accidently got xianyun on 13 pity. I got back up to 70+ pity, and not a single gaming!!! i should have stopped when i lost
Okay everyone sorry to disappoint but this guy messed up his graph and some things he said are incorrect (assuming my source is right, but it's much more reliable at least). Some people recorded over 20 million pulls of data to understand soft pity...The link is down at the bottom of the comment. About 4 stars: it's about 5.4% chance, just like they say, for your 8 first wishes. But there's soft pity for 4 star items: at your ninth wish, it will have a boost of 10 times the base rate, so the original 5.4% +54%, so your ninth wish has a 59.4% chance. Which means there's around 26% chance only to reach the hard 10 wish pity for 4 stars. (okay I lied in fact it's because the odds still increase by another 54% to reach 113.4% but it's pretty much the same, it's just math and you don't need to understand this bit) When it comes to 5 stars, it's a bit more complex. As they say, it's 0.6% chance every pull, but this is only until 73 wishes. Just like 4 stars, at your 74th wish, the odds will shoot up by 10 times the base rate, so 6% added to the base 0.6%. On top of all, it continues to go up every wish by another 6%, until it reaches 100% chance at 90 wishes. So, not only people are just rounding up, or rather, guessing blindly it's about 75 wishes that soft pity takes place, but on top of all they just read whatever Hoyo feeds them without doing the odds. It's natural, to think a company can't b*hit that hard, but the "1.6% consolidated rate" can't be true if you do the math otherwise. It would be illegal to claim there's a 1.6% consolidated chance in any other case. I said he's wrong, because he showed a graph that has a spike at 80 wishes. That's not the case, I don't know where he got it. The increase is continuous, doesn't vary so the odds only "spike" at 74. He was also wrong to mention it starts at 75, otherwise it would only reach 100% chance at 91 wishes. This isn't the case, as everyone got fed up hearing "90 hard pity". However, other graphs are really interesting, though blacky doesn't show these interesting graphs. At around 80 pity, most people will already have gotten their 5 star. Statistically, only 14.2% of the time or so you will have to go above this to get your 5 star. This means that there's a pretty equal distribution of 0.6% for the first 73 wishes, then it shoots up because the odds are suddenly 10 times higher, and it continues, but at 76-77 wishes it starts going down: the odds get so high with soft pity that you'll most likely get your 5 star in the 6 wishes after reaching it. Not only is there 36% of 5 stars that will appear in your first 73 pulls (even if it's slim, it takes a lot of wishes to reach soft pity), but then you get 6.6% chance, then 12.6%, and 18.6%... it just goes up and up and you would have to fail these continuously to reach the 90th wish. Also for the weapons banner it's the same old 10 times increase once you hit soft pity, also every wish increases the same, etc... You can check the link under to get the numbers I don't want to just parrot everything the article says. I just wanted to specify the base concept without you having to read it all, and those who want can go check it. However I'll still say, people are rounding up too much. Hard pity for weapons' banner is 77, not 80. Tons of interesting stuff that this article shows. Another detail worth mentioning: 5 star pulls don't reset your 4 star pity, it only takes priority. So if you failed your 9th wish for a 4 star, then you have this 113.4% chance to get a 4 star, but you get a 5 star instead. Technically, it only prevented the 4 star from triggering its over 100% chance to happen. It only means that you'll have 168.4% chance to get a 4 star on your 11th wish. It's the same as 100% chance, but it's just funny to imagine. And it also relieves people to know that there's no drawback to getting a 5 star instead of a 4 star, or almost none at least. Blacky is also wrong at 6:15 when he says pulling a 5 star resets ALL polls of pity. On top of not getting right the soft pity for weapons. And not getting that there's a soft pity for 4 stars: just go to your history after having a lot of pulls, you'll realize it's almost half the time it happens on the ninth pull and not the tenth. It's about 25% for getting it at 10 or getting it in the first 8. I just want to clear it up, I really like the videos. It's just that I was lucky through my research to find these things and I want to point mistakes where I see them, so misconceptions don't perpetuate. There's no animosity in what I said, because I don't think anyone should blame individuals for not getting these things. These kinds of truths, even when they see the light of day, don't get much attention so it's really hard for people to get to know about them. www.hoyolab.com/article/497840 Up above is the link to the full explanation of this.
LMFAO this guy made a whole video to defend building pity fr? Bro, lemme tell u sum: you can get a five-star at ANY pity. And that's precisely why you DON'T wish on a banner of a character you don't want. This is a trap. Yall gonna lose your guaranteed in vain.
based. then same people claim they got the limited 5 star character early "accidentally" because they were building pity for the next banner, and now they won't be able to get the upcoming character they wanted . .😭in the end it's their choice, but i mostly hate how this video is pretty much an introduction to the gacha system of genshin, and the beginners might take it as "i cannot get a 5 star before 70+ wishes" type of thing :((
My friend wanted Rosaria and pulled in her release banner (a Childe's rerun) and got Childe in early pity: He hates fatui with all his guts since beginning of the game After some months he didn't learn his lesson and pulled for another 4* in Ayaka's banner, another characters he hates. Got her in early pity. LMAO He lost Zhongli because of that
Clicked just to make sure there was nothing I didnt already know. There wasnt. But I am a well researched player of two years. I think this does cover every single important point for anyone who is newer or who watches less genshin content.
Better losing a 50/50 in a banner you don't need than on the one you are looking for. Even if you win, guess that's just a free five star. If it comes to having a character guaranteed, that's when I save@@FemboiMuffin
@@krusher737u didnt get the five stat for free, u pulled on them. Imagine u have 120 wishes and u spend 50 on clorinde with zero pity and get her. But u actually wanted furina, so when her banner rolls around u pull for her and dont get her. Which is sad cause u actually wanted furina more than clorinde. There is a fifty percent chance to get the five star, so building pity is risky but to each their own.
@@aetherneedsbuff1294 I think my comment was deleted for some reason. I don't really pull for characters that I already have. I mostly just go for new ones to check them out. If I get a Furina constellation, that's good too.
Keep it up! You were one of the first Genshin Impact creators I found whose guides tremendously set me up for success so thanks again so much for your insight and just know your level of quality, editing, commentary, and helpfulness is so fantastic and on a very professional level, great work, don't give up or chase the views but I know your quality will rise to the top, and thanks again!
Wow, thank you so much for this awesome feedback ❤️ I'm happy that you found my guides to be so helpful. That's what I'm here for after all ^^ Cheers for your encouragement ^^
Guys I think the chances of getting 5* is manipulated sometimes. Well I was on 20 pity and I pulled 10 wishes for nuvi and I got him. I went to the wepon banner and it was at 0 pity I choose his wepon and wished 10 pulls and I got it. Then I wished for c1 and I got him within 20 wishes. I don't think the 5* chances were 0.6 at that time I think the game wanted me to get him early so I think there is an algorithm built in the wishing system that increases the percentage of getting 5* but I didn't figure it out yet. All I know is that I win that early when I log in my pc the first time because I am a ps5 player. I remember I got double 5* back then on wepon banner to xiao and yelan banner when I log in the mobile for the first time. Also when I start the game I got 5* on my first wish in 1.1 to zohngli. I am sure there is a specific algorithm for that but I don't know if it is related to starting the game on a new device.
for any new player never pull on weapon banner until you get all the characters you want only after that you can go ahead and wish for your favourite characters weapon next time they re run because instead of wasting primoes for weapon that you may or may not get its better off pulling for characters
i lost my 50/50 when pulling for furina and got a jean.. im currently at 20 pity, and im playing genshin for so many hours to get a lot of primos and get my furina home.
Thats cute. I am a vietnam veteran then since i was there since start. Oh and... rates are much worse than you think. Most players dont know people did a rate pull data and collected the overall rate. 6% is a LIE
I remember my first account was always 90 pity and post 50/50. But once I made a new account later, my luck was a lot better. Then found that luck is different on each account due to programing or something.
I'm just hoarding Primogems for whenever Yelan _or_ Navia show up. I don't care which, it's First-Come, First-Serve, but I'm getting them. Nothing can stop me.
That's exactly how we should do. All characters can do good damage of built well and there is no need to one shot every enemy. Pulling the one you like is the best way to do it.
My piece of advice, for new players in early mondstat and liyue try to go for a good 5 star dps for your account to make early combat easier, then as you make your way through inazuma start working on getting strong support 5 stars like yelan, kazuha, furina, baizhu, nahida, and raiden (if you cant get her c2), then start working on your other supports and sub dps units like Bennett, fischl, xingqiu, xianling, and sucrose for building the majority of the teams due to their strong synergies. After you get through inazuma and have a solid team with decent artifacts and weapons on them then you could start pulling for any character that you feel like would bring value to your account, like getting shenhe if you run cryo characters, chiori or albedo for geo teams, xianyun for plunge teams, or kokomi for any teams that need hydro and a healer. As you start getting through the endgame by finishing the story and completing zone specific world quests then at that point it doesn't matter anymore what character you pull for as long as you plan on investing into them in the long-term or if the bring value to your other characters and making your experience more fun.
Don't farm pity, unless the four star you're going after is as important to your account as a five star would be. The more pity you have going into a banner with a five star you want, the less chances you have to get that five star early, before soft pity.
Even In low pity .... building pity on the banner with a 5 star you dont want is not a good decision... there is always possibility of winning 50 50 under 74, so be ok with that outcome as well.. for example for me i want Navia but next phase furina there and if have good 4 stars ... i don't mind c1 furina and even if i lose 5050 its fine bc its carry over to Navia banner so here its 100% ok to build pity... as the video says you need to careful with your promo especially if your a F2P like me ... Remember dont pull on weapon banners
On the "building pity" thing, u do have to be considerate about it. Like I do it too, I wanna own all the 4*s so I'll do a 10-pull, but once I lost the 50/50 & then got Kokomi in the next 10-pull. Doesn't happen a lot, but careful if ur saving a guarantee.
OMG.....you are an angel. thank you for this video. love you!! was so confused when i hear ppl talking about soft pity, hard pity...and 50/50....now i understand so well, u explained it so smoothly and simple...thank you thank you...♥
Advice for the new players, make sure you build a good dps character AND a good support. You'll see a massive difference with an off-field support like kuki :3
I would never "build pity" if my next 5 star was guaranteed (i.e. I missed previous 50/50 to standard character). You end up accidentally getting an early 5 star you didn't want and now you have to win another 50/50 on a future 5 star you want. It doesn't matter how disciplined you are, you could get an early(30 pity) 5 star and it could be another 180 pulls. I would recommend looking up previous banner reruns as well as leak channels to plan in advance.
Get your Pity, then, wish about 40-50 times. By the time a new character you want comes by, there will be 1-2 big events that you will get PLENTY of primos for doing. Then, rinse and repeat. I have about half of the playable roster frok doing this.
Technically soft pity starts at the 74th pull which is the first pull with increased chance for 5* with roughly 6.6% of getting a 5* (on character banner). Actually i'm not 100% sure it's 6.6% but it should be something like [6.6%-6.8125%). Also in the video is said that every 10th pull is garanteed 4* that is true unless that 10th pull happens to be a 5* in which case the 4* will appear on the 11th pull.
A trick that works almost all the time, (and it most likely is placebo), but on the weapon banner, you choose the opposite weapon from the one you want in the epitomized path. Most likely, when you reach 50/50, it will give you the opposite weapon that you chose. It seems that the system works mostly to make you have at least 1 fate point, and it has worked for me, for the few times I've done it.
I've only had two pull sessions on the weapon banner and I lost both 50/50s on them. So I thought too next time i'm just gonna choose the opposite weapon and see what happens and that's not likely gonna happen until Hu Tao and/or Chasca's banner pops up.
Omg I love all of your videos! >w< they are so informative and you explain everything in such a sweet and easy to understand way💕 By the way, I wanted to say that at 11:19 you explain how each banner has separate pity, but just in case any new player is reading this: both of the event banners (the time limited ones) share pity. So it doesn’t matter if you pull on one and then you want to switch to the other ❤ Edit: also! In the limited weapon banner you can get standard 4* characters but not 5* characters, only 5* weapons. In the limited character banner you can get standard 5* characters but not standard 5* weapons :3
Also about building pity! This is my advice: don’t pull for banners you do NOT want. Save save save! That way when one of the characters you want you will have enough wishes :3 (also never spend primogems on blue wishes) Also, when I started I thought I needed to save 180 if I wanted to get a character, but most times you get characters a lore earlier. And if you don’t, we’ll your pity will carry over to the next banner and you will get another of the characters you wanted :D. So my tip is, if a character you want is on banner. Pull for them! If you get lucky congrats! If not at least you have pity for the next (also please make a pulling plan. What I do is categorize the characters I want in priority tiers. And if one of my “1st priority” tier arrives, I’ll pull for them, but if one of lower priority arrived I may have to skip them for now. Even tho I said to pull for all characters you want, you may consider planning who you need or want more ;3) As for 4 ⭐️. I recommend to NOT pulling for 4 stars as you will sooner or later get most if not all of them (and even constellations!). For the older four stars save starglitter and buy them on the paimon shop when they are on sale. As for the newer ones, it’s oki to pull for those ones you really really want but only when you are on low pity. The thing is, if you pull on every banner just for the 4 ⭐️ you will end up getting an undesired 5 ⭐️, so only pull for the 4 stars that you really want if you really need them, if not just wait until you get them in the future. Also, bonus tip! You can get any liyue 4-star for free during lantern rite! And finally, if you haven’t pulled in a while and you reeaaaally want a new character (watch out in case of addictions). Don’t “build pity” just for the sake of pulling :3 that may create addictions and even make you lose the character you wanted. So only pull when there’s someone you want
standard banner devs: let's make it little hard limited time character banner devs:not hard enough weapon banner devs: i said hard chronicle banner devs: perfect
New to GI started few days ago i did a spin in normal permanent character banner which uses that pink stuff and got 5 star weapon like wtf???? But atleast got smth ig
Update I previously I said that I didn't get wanderer by 20 pulls but after that I didn't spin even once and I collected for furina and guess what ryt after it was available I did my first 10 pull for furina and I got it on my first attempt 😭😭🤧
Now I realise how unlucky I am. I get my 4 star Item after every 10 pulls, and the five stars after exactly 90 Pulls. And the baddest thing, I get to 80% only 4 star weapons and IF I get finally a character, then is this a character which I still have. And that characters are characters which I don’t play- like, Kaeya, Amber or Lisa😭 Since April I am in Genshin and play and invests a lot of time in that game. I am world level 6 and I only have Lisa, Kaeya, Xiangling, Mona, Dori, Lynette, Fréminet, Layla and Collei, Mona and Clorinde..🥺😭 Xiangling, Lynette, Lisa, Kaeya and Amber are mostly completely with their starsign (?). Only Clorinde and Fréminet I really like and I don’t like one of the others. Oh my dear.. It isn’t normal 😅 I really hope, that I get finally a character that I like to play (like Kuki, Sara, Navia, Shenhe, YunJin or characters like that). 😅 Sorry for my English😅 but yeah.. #️⃣ unluckyperson 😂🥲
I can't 80% get 4 star weapon :v The rate of weapon is 50-50. If you have an off-banner 4 star, next 4 star will guarantee on banner. So if you're very unlucky, you would have 50% weapon only. Anyway, you only play 3 months, it's still a short time to count your characters. Play at least 1 year and save primogem for who you really really want and who people said to be strong.
Like you pulled 75 times since qiqi? Btw I had the same with the previous banners... I'll never get Baizhu 😅 If I were you, I would stop and wait for Furina now. Clorinde will have a rerun in like 4 months (or it is how it goes usually) and Alhaitham while being one of the best mains, has limited team comp options, so... I'd say he is not the best main choice for you (you likely don't have any of his best in slot teammates). Furina on the other hand, fits into many teams, can make even mediocre characters good and comes with an element which is reactive with every other. And she has pneuma AND ousia. Can be handy in Fontaine...
Got to the 80 pull threshold limit for weapons, was pulling for Arlecchino's weapon, got a Favonius book. Nearly quit the game right there after recently returning.
I'm the type of person who pulls to get at least one copy of any 4 star I like, even the non-meta ones, so I do pity farming. So I ended up in a situation where I was really close to soft pity because of previous 4 star pulls, but I wanted to pull on the Clorinde/Alhaitham banners because my Bennett was c0 and I wanted that 1st con. I had 50/50, so my hope was that if I accidentally get a 5 star I hoped I would lose the 50/50. And that's exactly what happened, I lost the 50/50 to Qiqi, got my Bennett and then guaranteed Furina next banner, and then also won 50/50 on Sigewinne.
I'm a genshin newbie, I'm still learning several things but I have a doubt: right now I'm accumulating primogems but I wonder should I wait for the perfect banner? What if a chara I want comes out in 7 months should I block myself for that long? Thank you.
always keep 10k primos at hand. Follow leaks community. Plan ahead for what character you want. I'll quote my example. I want Mauvika. usually the archons come at the x.2 version update. but this time around, mauvika is releasing at 5.3. I was initially reluctant to pull and saved up my primos. but as i learnt about mauvika's banner date, i became a bit reckless and pulled for kinich in 5.0. and in 5.1 i pulled for xilonen, and then i proceeded to pull again in 2nd phase of 5.1 and lost my 50/50. But thats ok bcz i wont be wasting primos anymore. i have enough time to save up again till 5.3, as i wont make any pulls in 5.2. Usually you'll get the rerun leaks 2 versions in advance and new character info 3 versions in advance. official notice comes only 1 version in advance for reruns and 2 versions in advance for new characters in the form of drip marketting. If you follow the leaks community you can know if YOUR favorite character is coming any time soon and plan ahead accordingly and be prepared for it.
@DaDevid unless you're like brand new and willing to grind hard af then 1 patch usually isn't going to be enough to guarantee you a character, I've saved up for 6 patches now and have spent less than 180 (the amount needed to guarantee a single character) wishes total and currently only have enough to guarantee 2 characters with like 50 left over and that's with grinding pretty heavy and a welkin...don't spend wishes that shortly ahead of time unless you're sure you can grind enough, you're willing to drop some serious cash (the amount of money you'd need to spend if looking to buy enough resources in 1 go to guarantee 1 character if you got 0 wishes is about $200), or you already have a decent amount of wishes in your inventory, this game is grindy af unless you're someone willing to drop serious cash on the game...in short...unless you're new enough for this video to be relevant to you then do not expect to be capable of saving up enough primogems in one patch to guarantee yourself a banner character...also...building pity is a trap don't fall into it, makes no sense for anyone to promote it best case scenario you use up valuable primogems pulling on a banner that could ruin your pity by accidentally getting the banner character (who you may or may not want) with the only benefit being that you'll have to click on the wish button a few less times and worst case scenario you pull on a banner for a character you definitely don't want and just wasted a ton of primogems and ruined your pity...don't "build pity" on banners for characters you don't have any interest in as long as you don't spend those primogems they're not just going to suddenly grow legs and walk off
@@mistyrains939 thanks for the answer. Yes I m a total newbie in the game and I wanna save primogems for the future but, in other hand, I need new chara for starting testing good team. So Idk if use 10k primogems on next banner 5.2 or waiting 5.3
@DaDevid just depends on what you're looking to get, if there's a character in the game that you really really want (like me personally only reason I got the game was for Arlecchino so I've been saving up since I downloaded the game 6-7 months ago) then I'd say save your primogems, if you don't have any real must have characters than the 2 characters coming in second half of this patch (Neuvillete and Zhongli) are extremely friendly as far as how good they can be compared to how easy it is to build them (Neuvillete being widely considered as the best dps in the game and Zhongli being the best shielder where you just drop his stone pillars and become a human tank) and you don't need a ton of constellations for them and in Neuvillete's case he doesn't NEED any crazy good teammates for he himself to be broken af, or if you don't care to wait a bit then you could just save up your primogems and maybe try to grab Mauvika since the archons tend to be ridiculously strong characters and she'll offer you easy traversal so no more having to climb walls for 10 minutes and etc
I hate to say this but..... this info is not 100% right. Its been proven over the time that 0.6% for 5 star is not true. Genshin uses a way worse system. I will go by memory as some mod deleted the tread that had picture of 6000 people pulling rate. 1-20 you have 5.2 - 4.6 chance to pull a 5 star and gets lower with every wish. Once you hit 21-73 your rate drops to 2.3 - 2.6%. After 74 you have 8% to get a 5 star and increases by 4% for every pull. So 75 is 10%, 76 is 14, 77 is 16, 78 is 18 and 79 is 20. After 80 it drops back to 2.3% rate till 89 that has 80% chance to pull. The pulling system in this game is designed to trick you to pull for more, thinking you will win next one. The double 5 star that people get is due to increased pity. If you build pity --- its save to go from 20-60, but pass this point the number goes over 2.6% and increases little by little to 74. How do i know that? Well i been playing genshin since 1.0 and i used up the system to my advantage. Instead of using 10 wishes after 74, i just go singles and once i get 5 star i stop. This increases the chances to get a new limited 5 star on next patch by a lot and it saves primogems in long runs. If you pull double 5 (if same character), you will have way less currency for next patch. 95% of cons are wortless and only a few characters benefit from c1 and even then its mostly just a hotfix for them (like Hu tao). Also as free to play, you will skip 4-5 banners till you get a character you want 100% so keep that in mind.

@@bushy9780 i just got bennet c0 last month on starglitter and i dont think i need a new dps too so i will just wait here angryly. Hopefully standard banner will be good to me 😪 and furina will come early also. I hate it here
Just pull for what you want and whats more fun to play with. I'll honestly pull for people like Keqing because of her "Vergil Playstile Vibes" when I'll get Genshin on Xbox in November 😅.
My tips before I watch the video: Stick to your favorite 5-star SS or S-tier DPS characters. You'll only need two, but you'll want to prioritize those first. Second, focus on your sub-dps and supports, these'll often be a mix of 4-stars and 5-stars so plan banner pulls when there's a high chance of BOTH, sometimes it's easier to get a 5-star furina than it is getting a 5 constellation Bennet. After that, you'll want to start weighing the damage bonus gained from the weapon banner or pulling more constellations, whichever you feel will fit your account best. A lot of weapons today are hyper-specific to certain characters, making them a lot less value to your overall account. With these strategies, I've been able to 12-star the abyss with no problems for a while now. But I've been playing since launch(though I also wished for quiqui back in the day lol...) Once you have your two solid "meta" team, start pulling for who you think will be the most enjoyable to play. -Powercreep is real, don't be afraid to skip -Don't build pity -Expect pity around 70 pulls and begin singles -Don't be afraid to backseat characters that wont fit into your new team -Cheapest clear team I've found is Dendro MC, Xingcho, Kuki, & flex -Always wait till the end of the month to decide to pull or not, key information regarding teams and characters might come out
I disagree a little with this. This point of view is too meta dependent on what to pull or what not. I believe that for most players, pulling for favorite characters comes first before even consider team roles or rarities into account. And even if we go into the route of prioritizing pulls for meta characters, then Support units are infinitely more viable, being Kazuha, Nahida, Yelan, Furina or Zhongli units that are more used in general and are core units for the most prolific teams. Most of the time, the DPS or On-Field characters can be replaced in the long run for 4 stars or other 5 stars. The problem it comes to this perspective is that the casual player base usually don't care about meta, and they will inevitably pull for their favorites first no matter how bad a character is. I mean, there is people out there waiting for Kaveh to come back into a banner rotation, even when we all know he is the worst dendro character in the game. And at the end of the day, if people like to play their faves, then that's all that matter. Given enough time, people eventually will pull for meta units and enough supports, so is better for them to just pull for whoever they want. -Powercreep is not real, we can clear abyss with the same units from 1.0 and is not really that difficult anymore. Natlan may be the breaking point for powercreep to really appear in Genshin, tho. -Building pity is also not real, gambling addiction on the other hand is very real. -Always have your characters geared up or have a general build for them, you never know what new interactions can make a character good again. -Hyperbloom is fucking busted, no point on deny it. -Just pull and learn your character, there is always something that can be discovered that most theorycrafters might not see and is fun to learn them by yourself, don't be meta dependent.
@@Dragonix135 1. You build pity on a bad 5-star, you accidently pull, you lose that pity towards your desired 5-star. That's real. 2. Powerscreep is extremely real, look at any tier list and SSS tiers line-ups have been growing steadily with each content expansion 3. Pulling what will be efficient is still extremely valuable to casual players, believe it or not people want what's best for their account 4. You can tell a person to "play what they find fun" in any game, but thats just avoiding the question, and annoys me to no end when I go into walkthroughs or tutorials looking for the best routes. "Fun" isn't something I find you should ignore, but fun can be spoiled if players realize their hard effort could've been better invested. Always wait to see a characters best teams, their kit, and etc. Otherwise you might just end up hating their experience. Being able to test drive a car before you buy it is extremely important. Someone that pulls for Ayato without researching might feel regret when they realize they could've pulled Nuevillete and quit the game.
@@columbinadamselettefan wrong. Just because older characters can still be used doesn’t mean newer characters don’t offer something more or better. I personally suggest pulling Nuevillite>Childe, Navia>Itto, Alheithem>any DPS, Raiden>keqing, Ayaka>Ganys,Arle>Dilucz etc. all newer characters that perform in their best in slot teams more efficiently than their older counterparts. You can still use their older counterparts, but there’s always going to power creep. Which can also include game balances like dendro, or VV shred, which were changes that made power levels higher as a result of new content.
@@jackrabbit1704 but the older characters still perform perfectly fine in the only content in the game that is arguably difficult. also vv was out during 1.0
i know how you do the archon quest in Sumeru then Alhaitham help you to get rid of eremites and you pull on his banner and boom in 10 pulls he shows up 😁.
If only Fate Points carry over... Boo! I recently tried to farm pity a little bit, and got Nilou instead of building up for Yelan, at a mere pity 45 (and beating 50/50 too). But I did kinda want Nilou, more secondary than the primary Yelan, so somewhat lucky? This also happened in the past for Baizhu and Ganyu, resulting me in getting 2 nice characters despite wanting to simply build pity, at mere pity 30s each and both beating 50/50, and they were back to back on the same day.
@@GIBlacky I HONESTLY DONT KNOW I'm not too mad about it which is weird tho Also all my pity is always above 75 so I just know how much I need for characters I want and when to give up lmao It also saved me early game from getting characters I didn't need cs I didn't know what was going on
I was just searching for indepth genshin pity guides and had to do a double take because I thought I accidentally clicked a Warframe guide! At this rate you might make a guide channel for every game I play XD Keep up the amazing work!
This is interesting to know all this. I did a pull on the previous limited banner with Wanderer and Baizu and I farmed primogems and some fates and I literally won the 50/50 with Wanderer. I’m really hoping the same luck happens again with Clorinde. Hoping for the best.
It's more like if you convert your primogems to fates from shop (acquaint or intertwined ones), you might accidentally choose the wrong fate option.. turning all your primogem savings to wrong fates.
Furina is great. If you have a chance to get her when she comes soon, you won't regnet it 😉 If you can't get enough gems though don't worry, they'll all come back 😉
tbh i don't think that's a bad spot, you would only need 25 more wishes on average to get to 75 wishes (after that, it's a matter of luck and i don't know if you got a guaranty) with your dailies, you'll get 8 wishes by the end of the patch, 17 more to go. you can add 2 or 3 abyss floors, at least 2.5 wishes, 2 events, in general 400 primogems each, so another 5 wishes Then there will be imaginarium theater in a few days, and the stream codes 1.5 week before the banner ends, and now that should be it. If needed because of poor luck, you can still grind some quests, exploration%, sakura tree/aranara radish/lucine fontaine etc... perseverance is the key, gl
It's a discounted banner that's similar to the standard one, but you can only pull on it 10x twice. You're guaranteed Noelle, but any other character or weapon you get from it is up in the air.

(Besides, any character can do good dmg if well built even barbara)
yeah definitely, as soon as you have no problem clearing abyss, the only reason to pull characters are if you like them or the playstyles they enable
wanderer is fun to play with, but you gotta think about the pros and cons to get long term value for your account. trust me, speaking from experience, i also followed this "pull for likes, not meta" advice, and ended up pulling characters simply because i liked them. now i have like 4-5 neglected 5 stars that i never use. its honestly depressing to see ive wasted so much primogems on characters just because i liked them, and then regretting because they arent fun/ or good. i only realized this mistake recently, as i started actually analyzing characters to pull for BOTH in terms of damage and gameplay satisfaction. the "dont pull for meta" is such a toxic advice, especially for beginner players. you should analyze and think about the pros and cons, and pull for characters that provide long term value(which also includes gameplay satisfaction as most people think im talking abt just damage or meta here). trust me being f2p, strategizing and planning to build a strong account is so much more rewarding than people think it is. its a huge source of enjoyment for many people.
Got bored after 2 mins. My advice is just go for what you want.
Inspiring 😮😮🤩

My personal advice, don't pull for meta, pull for fun
I pulled ganyu as my first five star because I read everywhere online she was really good and then when I got her I realized how much I hated her gameplay of just charge shotting over and over.
Same.. I got kokomi, yae, and ayaka😭😭😭
Bro those are good characters. The only regretteble character i have is cyno, but i plan to repurpose him and use him properly in the future.
I remember getting a 4 star character yesterday. I STARTED PLAYING GENSHIN YESTERDAY!
yes like almost everyone does
Im guessing you pulled from the beginner pack? I just started playing about 2 weeks ago, and I pulled 7 characters in my 20 beginner pack pulls. Noelle is guaranteed and I pulled Sucrose, Rosaria, Ningguang, Lynette, Chongyun, and Barbara on top of it. Every character pull I've had since then has been a duplicate. I've pulled Barbara 4 times, I'm starting to get sick of seeing her lmao
Pulling strats:
-Getting a 5 star character takes on average 160 pulls.

(okay I lied in fact it's because the odds still increase by another 54% to reach 113.4% but it's pretty much the same, it's just math and you don't need to understand this bit)
When it comes to 5 stars, it's a bit more complex.

Thank you sensei
Don't farm pity, unless the four star you're going after is as important to your account as a five star would be.
The more pity you have going into a banner with a five star you want, the less chances you have to get that five star early, before soft pity.
"You could make a religion out of this" ~ Bill Wurtz probably
Even In low pity .... building pity on the banner with a 5 star you dont want is not a good decision... there is always possibility of winning 50 50 under 74, so be ok with that outcome as well.. for example for me i want Navia but next phase furina there and if have good 4 stars ... i don't mind c1 furina and even if i lose 5050 its fine bc its carry over to Navia banner so here its 100% ok to build pity... as the video says you need to careful with your promo especially if your a F2P like me ... Remember dont pull on weapon banners
Pulled on weapon banner as a f2p with no pity and got Arlecchino's weapon
On the "building pity" thing, u do have to be considerate about it. Like I do it too, I wanna own all the 4*s so I'll do a 10-pull, but once I lost the 50/50 & then got Kokomi in the next 10-pull. Doesn't happen a lot, but careful if ur saving a guarantee.
Sure thing, it's always a gamble and you have to think about whether you want to take the risk or not ;)

Advice for the new players, make sure you build a good dps character AND a good support. You'll see a massive difference with an off-field support like kuki :3
Honestly 700 views for a video of this quality is criminal
We Gangsta here! 😜
Jokes aside, thank you so much for the amazing compliment ❤️
7:13 just WHO is doing that in 2024
This man just gave me luck I pulled on a banner with the one wish I had left over and bro gave me a 4 star (it was Kaveah)
I have about half of the playable roster frok doing this.
me "I got all the 5 stars I want, next time that weapon is out Ima pull on it....."
new character comes out
me "I WANT!!!!!"
Thank you for specicying 😉
A trick that works almost all the time, (and it most likely is placebo), but on the weapon banner, you choose the opposite weapon from the one you want in the epitomized path. Most likely, when you reach 50/50, it will give you the opposite weapon that you chose. It seems that the system works mostly to make you have at least 1 fate point, and it has worked for me, for the few times I've done it.
I pick Lofic course and got Lofic
@@Yoru56560 say again?
I've only had two pull sessions on the weapon banner and I lost both 50/50s on them. So I thought too next time i'm just gonna choose the opposite weapon and see what happens and that's not likely gonna happen until Hu Tao and/or Chasca's banner pops up.
Omg I love all of your videos! >w< they are so informative and you explain everything in such a sweet and easy to understand way💕
By the way, I wanted to say that at 11:19 you explain how each banner has separate pity, but just in case any new player is reading this: both of the event banners (the time limited ones) share pity. So it doesn’t matter if you pull on one and then you want to switch to the other ❤
Edit: also!
That way when one of the characters you want you will have enough wishes :3 (also never spend primogems on blue wishes)
Also, when I started I thought I needed to save 180 if I wanted to get a character, but most times you get characters a lore earlier. Even tho I said to pull for all characters you want, you may consider planning who you need or want more ;3)
As for 4 ⭐️.
Yeah that 50/50 mechanism is true. I pulled for Navia but got Dehya instead 😢
I also don't got Navia even after 70 pull😢
For a gacha system this is the first time a company thinks of our wallets
Started 3 months ago and pulled Jean on the standard banner. I didn't know how lucky I was until now (She's already lvl 70) 😈

New to GI started few days ago i did a spin in normal permanent character banner which uses that pink stuff and got 5 star weapon like wtf???? But atleast got smth ig
@@NOname_360 Hi, i have also started GI recently. Lets play together.
I played for 6 months already
Thats the weapon banner
Now save some primos cause 5.0 is comming and kazuha and raiden also come aka 2 very good characters for noobs
I an new player i lost my first 50/50 for qiqi and now i am 75 pity 😢
Like you pulled 75 times since qiqi? Btw I had the same with the previous banners... I'll never get Baizhu 😅
If I were you, I would stop and wait for Furina now.
Furina would help you so much!
ah, first qiqi. Welcome to genshin.
I got pretty lucky getting my Keqing on my 6th reroll. Lost my hard pity 50/50 to Qiqi, but then finally won Nahida on like 30 pulls.
@yajurraghavan4193 oh thanks for answer me, really a good advice for a newbie like me.
I don't think I've ever not pulled at least a 4 star with every pull. I've pulled 3, 5 stars atm.
So you are saying that miHoYo is lying about their drop rates? :D. I mean it could be possible but if this is true and someone would tell about this to chinese government miHoYo would be in trouble xD. And you dont wanna be in Chinese governments watchlist.

only 10 pulls for me. you can't get double 5 stars in single pulls.
I tried that and single pulls... Had no difference in luckiness. Still get 5stars around 80-90. Never doubles and no more chance to get featured 4stars...
I mean if you do 10 single pulls the chance to get 2 5 stars out of that is the same as when you do a 10 pull

Bennett will come in the Paimon Shop again in the future so no need to risk wishing for him ^^
Just pull for what you want and whats more fun to play with.
I'll honestly pull for people like Keqing because of her "Vergil Playstile Vibes" when I'll get Genshin on Xbox in November 😅.
I just got Jean in first try after watching this video
Nice one! She pairs well with Furina ^^
I got Mona in 1 wish.😂
same
Like the first one pull you ever did or literally one pull in general? Because that's how I got my Hu Tao😊
My tips before I watch the video:
Stick to your favorite 5-star SS or S-tier DPS characters.
-Powercreep is real, don't be afraid to skip
-Don't build pity
-Expect pity around 70 pulls and begin singles
-Don't be afraid to backseat characters that wont fit into your new team
-Cheapest clear team I've found is Dendro MC, Xingcho, Kuki, & flex
-Always wait till the end of the month to decide to pull or not, key information regarding teams and characters might come out
I disagree a little with this.
2. Powerscreep is extremely real, look at any tier list and SSS tiers line-ups have been growing steadily with each content expansion
3. Pulling what will be efficient is still extremely valuable to casual players, believe it or not people want what's best for their account
4. Someone that pulls for Ayato without researching might feel regret when they realize they could've pulled Nuevillete and quit the game.
power creep isnt real in genshin, you can still 36 star abyss with 1.x 4 stars only
@@columbinadamselettefan wrong.

You should update the title to say "for beginners ". Im sure they'll appreciate the info.

This is interesting to know all this. I did a pull on the previous limited banner with Wanderer and Baizu and I farmed primogems and some fates and I literally won the 50/50 with Wanderer. I’m really hoping the same luck happens again with Clorinde. Hoping for the best.
Fingers are crossed for Clorinde 😉

Yeah.. only pull boba or azz or nothing
Yeah… don’t pull on a 5-star you don’t want, unless you have a plan I guess… 😅
So does this mean I won't get my furina :(
Because im at 49 pity
tbh i don't think that's a bad spot, you would only need 25 more wishes on average to get to 75 wishes (after that, it's a matter of luck and i don't know if you got a guaranty)
with your dailies, you'll get 8 wishes by the end of the patch, 17 more to go.
you can add 2 or 3 abyss floors, at least 2.5 wishes, 2 events, in general 400 primogems each, so another 5 wishes
Then there will be imaginarium theater in a few days, and the stream codes 1.5 week before the banner ends, and now that should be it.
If needed because of poor luck, you can still grind some quests, exploration%, sakura tree/aranara radish/lucine fontaine etc... perseverance is the key, gl
