Your reviews have helped me tremendously when it came to picking out a good air purifier. I got two Winix 5500-2's on sale during black Friday and I couldn't be more satisfied!
@ yup! Got the winix and the Coway Airmega 400 (we needed something for a really large area) they said it’s one of the best air purifiers, but the cost prevented them from recommending it. But since it was heavily discounted on Black Friday, I figured why not…and I love both of them so far
I have 3 Dyson Air Purifiers (TP02,TP04,TP07) and love them, I've had the TP02 since 2016 with no issues, the TP04 for 4 years and the TP07 for a year and a half and absolutely love all of them. Only unit I would not recommend is the PH humidify series...I love Dyson but those units are garbage, replaced my PH01 with the TP07 and couldn't be happier.
I have 4 Dyson air purifiers of varying cost (from $200-$500 small/medium TC/TP models to the humidifying PH04 at $900 and the Big+Quiet). I've had the B+Q for the least amount of time (about a year), so the jury is out on that, but all of the other ones have some sort of issue. My $500 Dyson permanently shows really bad air quality (issue with sensor) that can't be fixed. The $900 humidifying one has two issues: another permanent sensor issue that makes it think the water filter needs to be cleared of debris/liquid and one of the louvres (for directing air) is broken and stuck such that it doesn't output any air from that side. The continued lack of HomeKit integration is the cherry on top. Very disappointing.
have you done any tests in actual performance? this seems like a spec comparison video, but even if they are low in CFM, but manage to get the air flows into the filter, isn't that better solution?
@ yes if something goes wrong with it’s little cpu brain it’s bricked. It would cost a lot to ship it to the nearest dyson repair place even if would have still been in the warranty period

Comment for algo…you guys helped me pick out my air purifiers this past Black Friday
Did you get the Winix like me?

Have you tested the Winix HR950? I see the 5500-2 but not the HR950.

Then why the hell would you buy 4 of them?
@@hugeb.c.4312 you can't figure that out? They were all purchased around the same time before any of them had an opportunity to die.
You're in the 1% or less then.
Bingo!

My Dyson was great for a couple of years until it had an error message and couldn't be repaired....expensive garbage
Wow, that's so unacceptable! At its core it's just a fan with a filter in front, it shouldn't brick.

Which version? And did you ever maintenance it?
@@jacobpetersen5662 The one with the heater and air filtration. I replaced the filters whenever they required it.
