I've been meaning to do more 1600 races ever since we used it in the community race a while back. Such a fun car to drive. I'm going to try the GT4 open setup now I've got some spare safety rating.
I'll tell you a secret: I mostly run the fixed setups everywhere 😂 Seriously, I even have a subscription to Majors Garage so I could use paid setups, but often I don't have the time to practice enough to get the most out of that paid setup. So I often just run the fixed one cause usually that's the one I am most practiced in.
Now the licences are getting split I’m definitely looking to do a season or two in the FF1600. The GT4’s are great I just wish the fixed races were a bit longer. Will also be running the Clios again, always some fun close racing in that series.
I agree, I wish the fixed GT4 was 20 minutes instead of 15. But then the multiclass one makes up for that a bit by being 30 minutes - so in the end it's a good balance when racing them back to back. Haven't tried the Clio yet!
@@LDFR Not the best as far as I know. But Wednesday night 8pm GMT is an unofficial championship SOF race. This Wednesday managed to have 3 splits for the first time so hopefully picking up.
I started iracing at the end of November 2023 and have mainly driven Mazda cars up to now. For next season, I'm hesitating between the gr86 and the rayff1600 and I think I'll choose the rayff1600 because I think I have a lot to learn with this car. Then for the following season I'm thinking of going for the gr86 or the gt4. Which do you think I should choose?
Ray and GR86 are quite different! I think if you want to go the closed wheel path, then maybe GR is better. But it really depends on what you find interesting. If you’re interested in the Ray, just go for it!!! Do whatever seems most fun to you :)

Always enjoy the Clio series myself. Hoping the participation picks up next season though.

It's also not uncommon to be a freebie in the 1600 :D So much looking forward to GT4 since I watch your contagious streams!
