Amazing race Lorenzo! VR looks really good now!

I've only recently stopped getting nauseous... I couldn't go for more than a few corners, sucks the fun out of it. I was also disapointed with the performance I was getting out of my 1080ti. Went back to single screen for a while but now that the nausea is gone I was willing to spend more time tunning the settings and I agree it's hard to go back to 2d like everyone has mentioned.

Try a wired connection and go through the developer mode options to improve the graphics quality. Also the Oculus debug tool will clear things up with just a few options. Dirt Rally 2.0 is my favorite. Have fun man!

Any motion sickness so far? I’ve really struggled with it and can’t race using the quest 3 due to that 😢

Its really unfortunate that you had no idea how to use the app before you recorded a video about it. I ended up turning it off because you were just fumbling around and not understanding what each function does. I get that the average user will have to learn it also. But we as RUclips followers are trying to watch videos to learn the program, not watch someone just bounce around with no clue. You didn't do this program or yourself any favors with this video.

Hey, In my opinion, with VR, you probably get more immersion, but for the viewers, it’s not ideal. First, you lose the personal touch because we see a VR headset instead of you. Second, the video quality tends to suffer due to all the shakiness. It’s a shame because your content is great, and you deliver it very well. I hope you get bored with VR, like many others :)) my 2cents :)

Are you using this in conjunction with your PC setup, or is this just the Meta Quest and controllers that you are using?

That's actually a really good build for your use case,...even the cpu is a good choice. Only the hanging damocless sword is a bit worrisome,...If you're a "the glass is half empty" type of guy, like I am 😁. Let's just hope the Intel undervolting patch works and is not just a desperate attempt to push the lifespan over the warranty period. I'm really looking forward to a stream. Has been a long time since the last one.

So glad you are enjoying the VR. I don't think I could race without it now.

You should consider something like the Bobo VR strap. Transformed my Q3 experience. It becomes more like a hat with the goggle floating on your face.

I'm happy to see finally people realize the power of VR which is beyond of any flat screen content, try to play it on rtx 4080 or 4090 with highest graphics possible.

Softer face gasket and bobo pro headstrap with fan in front made it 100x better, it was super uncomfortable standard

To be honest, you need to plug the quest 3 to a permanent power supply because the internal battery is worthless if you want to play. Maybe my battery is defective but its insane how fast it drops. The flickering of textures and this stair step effect is normal, its the downside of quest 3.

one thing, you are too much used to be fixed to monitor. Learn to use to turn your head to check for space.

How can you play racing sims in flatscreen, you could have a 100 monitors, and its not even 10% close to the experience in VR ... it is completely and utterly on another planet.

I find that a dedicated router wired in close proximity to my game space allows virtual desktop to run just as good as a wired connection.

BOBOVR S3 PRO headstrap with fan is an absolute game changer, must have purchase.

same here , just started. which settings you use? i have a 4070super and i'm struggling to undesrstand the best trade off due to the bad iracing graphic engine....

So sad that you start VR SimRace in iRacing ... Almost any other Sim Race Game it looks better than iRacing, ... try Automobilista 2 for example. Congrats on going VR

The graphics will definitely be less sharp than with a monitor, but I noticed at the beginning of the video you had glasses on. If your prescription is for distance, that could be your problem because in VR your view is set in the distance. Try it with your glasses on and see if that helps, if so, your best bet would be a set of prescription lenses for the Quest. I get mine from VR Wave, they're fantastic. You'll have to play around with the settings to find the best balance between graphics and framerate. 72 hz doesn't bother me, so I set Virtual Desktop to 72 hz and crank the graphics to ultra and use the h.264+ codec and run it at 500 mpbs. Also make sure you have the snapdragon superscaling checked in the streaming options in Virtual Desktop. Good luck!
