In this Windows 10 tutorial, I will be showing you how to connect Wii controllers to your PC or laptop. If you enjoy your Wii controller and want to use it to play games on your computer then this can easily be done by following the steps in this tutorial. You can easily connect two Wii controllers if you are playing with a friend.
You will need Bluetooth to be able to connect your Wii controller in Windows 10. If you don't have Bluetooth built into your computer then using a Bluetooth adapter is also fine.

so for those who it doesnt work for i tried this the first time using 1 and 2 it disconnect half way through so i hit 1 and 2 again it didnt work but then i held down the sync button and it did work maybe this might help u

Thank you. Once connected and it was still flashing, I opened Dophin emulator, selected 'Real Wii Remote', it vibrated then connected.
I need a bit of help here, I connected deny Wii more and went to dolphin to try to connect, it kept flashing and I didn't get a vibration. I can't connect
@@nicolasp4228 Try opening dolphin emulator first, then connect it to bluetooth. It might take a few tries

Did now I will able to use wii controller as a replacement of motion sensor gaming controller at my pc?
The guide didn't really help me but what worked for me is going to
Settings > Bluetooth > More Bluetooth Options > **Allow Bluetooth Devices to find this PC**
Then, just press sync on the Wiimote. Worked like that for me.

Hi! It connects but after turned off the remote i need to uninstall the wiimote a pair again so it does not connects again by itself after shutdown. Any ideas? Thx

My pc didn't called it ''Nintendo RVL-CNT-01'' It just called it game controller. So in case you where just like me waiting on that, try the one that's called game controller or anything similar to that. Btw I'm on windows 11.

Make sure your computer actually has Bluetooth. It's not a common option from the factory
ok wth took about 25 tries in control panel finally connected (had to unplug my bluetooth dongle like 3 times) I also kept Dolphin open with continuous scanning on as well in real wii mote emulate bluetooth adapter mode.

Help mine connected 1 time and now it isn't working it says connected but the four lights keep flashing and it supposed to appear as player 1 if its connected
The Wii Mote is successfully added, but the lights just keep on blinking perpetually and it doesn't actually work on the system, even though it says Connected in the Settings app.

@@vitorschererdossantos2474 Thanks. This is only relevant if you're using Dolphin though. I'm using it with FCEUX NES emulator. Annoying thing is, I used to run desktop Linux and I had no trouble connecting the Wii Mote then. Now that I've switched back to Windows suddenly it's a huge problem.

For everyone who's remote connects to windows but not to Dolphin, select the continue scan button
this worked! I checked settings and it said my controller was connected, but it doesnt do anything? I dont know what this means it says its connected but it dont work???

@@xxcabookaxx Emulating with the Wiimote? You need to setup the controller in Dolphin, instead of Emulated Wii Remote, you will need to select Real Wii Remote, then check all the controls, and you will be good to go. However, if you are not using dolphing, then cant help you mate, you need a tutorial for that
i just click 1 and 2 even the sync button but when i go to bluetooth setting its never pop up i tried for 6-7 times it never work how to fix this?

Is there a way to get this to work on Steam? I didnt realize this method was to get it to work with wii emulator. I thought it would just work like pairing a Nintendo Switch controller. However, it doesn't read any buttons.

Ok you've made a great tutorial but i have an issue that only one wiimote is connecting when i try to connect second wiimote it doesn't connect it shows "make sure your device is still discoverable" im using bluetooth dongle 5.0 for this plz help me ❤
Connecting a Wii-Mote with your video was great. I finally got past the PIN screen. My wii-mote turned off after being synced, and will not work in any application that I try (even if it is on)... Is this normal ? and what application actually uses wii-motes ?
osu! uses wiimote pairing but you have to change osu settings
I'd expect Dolphin to be able to work with this, though I'll have to test that out
dolphin 100% does. i did it earlier but now i’m back trying to connect it again to my computer as it wont sync, i suggest if u get it to work don’t disconnect it
@@oliviasonline it's a whole process, basically you need to force it to connect through your control panel, then sync it to Dolphin, and if you want to play games that require the Wii Motion Plus you're also going to have to light some candles

I did this months ago first try using the Bluetooth section instead of the older devices way and unpaired it bc it was cluttering my list up and now that I want to play it again neither method is working LOL

Great instructions - I got the device connected showing as RVL-CNT-01-UC. However, I am not sure how to actually use it with the Dolphin emulator loaded into RetroArch (on Windows 10)?
one thing you gotta have in mind is that through bluetooth it will receive the signals from the buttons you press but nothing if we talk about movement. for that you'll need a sensor bar, you can get them made specifically for dolphin with usb port to connect to pc or if you have a wii you can simply turn it on and use its sensor, it'll work! just wanted to let u know that and if you knew already sorry :P
about your initial question have you tried going to dolphin's last option in the upper bar (which would be called something like "controllers") and changing the option for first wiimote from emulated to real?
I don't see the wii remote coming up. I am clicking the sync button and it does not show up on my windows laptop. It shows up on my macbook only. I am using a HP Pavilion from 2015. Maybe I should update the bluetooth drivers?

How do you get it to control things
In my trials, I found this only works with genuine wii remotes. My third party Wii remote did not work using this method but it did with another, however your mileage may vary.

@@pulsen1187 Changing your Bluetooth adapters drivers through device manager to libusb works with third party. There is a much simpler way using a premade .exe but I can't remember the video. But this ONLY works with the dolphin emulator, as it has a pass through Bluetooth functionality.

ok I'm able to connect it the first time but after that I can't figure out how to reconnect it. my Bluetooth settings has no option when clicking on them to connect since it puts under devices, keyboard, and mouse. only audio ones have the option to connect. So how do you get your wii mote to reconnect after initial pairing cuz I can't stand having to delete it everytime and reset it.

The problem i have is the Wiimote itself connects and works but Windows 10 will randomly delete my connection and i have to do it again.
You might not have a stable connection. Make sure you’re near the Bluetooth adapter. Also make sure there isn’t anything electrical blocking the signal between you and the Bluetooth connection
@@king69104 I wonder if It could be caused by the fact I'm using a wifi/Bluetooth PCIE adapter? Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy one of those dolphin bars.
@@newax_productions2069 that’s what I’m thinking of doing but I want to know if I can play BWii online on dolphin before I jump the gun. I know MKWii works but I think there’s different patch files for each game
@@king69104 Yeah running games online is a little rough, ive delved into it myself and quite a few games can be played but its honestly hit or miss.

I was bummed out there's no way to play N64 goldeneye flawlessly on the wii, so I thought I could just connect my wiimotes with classics to my laptop then hook it up to my tv to play with friends and family. I ended up giving up cause I'm too busy with life to figure this out lmao.
