I hope you enjoy this wee blanket I am sure you will love it. EXPERIMENT in hook sizes and colorways, that's the fun of crochet. The stitch count is any odd number then add an extra 2. Here are the links for the Knit pro crochet hooks I was using and my personal link to Lovecrafts website for yarns. I used hayfield arran for this blanket. You can use any yarn you choose ( but Lovecraft still have many sales running)
LINK to knit pro crochet hooks amzn.to/33F8iVk
    Lovecraft 40% and 30% off yarns. www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/c/article/all-offers?a_aid=2aeb6671

@@geraldineoconnor5943 she said to chain in odd number to width you want. If you Google crochet blanket sizes guide. You can download a printable guide on all types of blanket. I did this and if I'm doing a snuggle blanket I do my chain to the width on the blanket guide

Really love your tutorials. Especially like this cable stitch - it looks to be very squishy. Textured stitches are what I look for in crochet blankets. Made an Afghan for charity in the Crystal Waves pattern recently and had to put it away for fear of soiling it. I couldn’t stop touching the blanket it felt so good! 🤗

I did have a zutter bow maker, but I lost some of the metal posts for it. Now I cheat and but them from amazon. Type in handmade 4inch hair bows. the ones i get have a crocodile hairclip attached so you can remove the bow and use it in a child's hair. You usually get 2 of each colour. I buy packs of 10 sets in primary colours (lemon pink blue etc.

Hi Alison ! I absolutely love this stitch it looks beautiful and easy to do , I'm in the process of making a baby blanket I'm using Caron Skinny Cakes in the colorway Buttermints it is looking beautiful.... I know you said in your tutorial to make sure you pull up on the stitch and wriggle it which I am doing with no problem, my blanket is still curling slightly as You said it would in your tutorial . My question is once it gets the boarder will it lay flatter . My curl is not bad at all but hoping it will lay flat at some point .
I just realized there isn't a boarder 🤦‍♀️.. the edges do come out very straight and i guess not needed ...

i cant remember, I really should have a book and write it down you can make your chain and measure it up with a measure tape to the width you like that's what I do. There are also lots of average size crochet blanket guides on google worth having one printed or saved onto a gadget like a phone.
