Then finally the 1 year HTC time. making him 10 - 11 years old

I love that during this sequence, Videl actually points out something I've always wondered about. The speed makes the wind sting her eyes. As it would. She ends up going back because she can't keep up at the speed Gohan is used to.

At this piont in bragon ball z Videl has control of her energy but not like Yamcha, Tien or Killin. (But this is just my theory.)

That could’ve been such a strong point in Gohan’s character development but instead they chose to make him slack on his training and become weak. Everything Vegeta said abt Gohan is true, and now he just gets a new transformation for the sake of the plot… lazy writing imo
@@francoislamasolari121 Inr And let's be honest. Even when Gohan was studying like crazy on DBZ, he still saved some time to train (not munch but he still train) and to be the Great Saiyaman. It doesn't make any sense that Gohan would just stop training for years.
Videl was one of the most wholesome characters in the show.. a breath of fresh air after the likes of chichi and bulma who can get on your nerves at times

I kinda find it crazy how talking about cell of all people brought videl and gohan even closer
The dramatic irony in this scene was so underrated. One of the reasons why Videl is unnecessarily over hated is because she "thought that her dad defeated Cell (but who actually didn't think that, and were not a Z fighter?)." Even though here it is clearly shown that she didn't, it just happened to be the only explanation that everyone used. And Gohan not realising this, tries his best to hide all his secrets - like when Krillin was blurting out things.

That PTSD shows when Gohan was thinking about that day when he fought Cell. It really was a traumatic experience for him, but he still managed to carry on. Gohan was really a humble hero who refused to fight, but would showed his strength when it was necessary.

Honestly the Gohan and Videl arc is the most underappreciated one in the series because it focused on how super-powered beings interacted with the world of normal people - and the part was the sweet interactions between Gohan and Videl themselves.
