  • Parata is probably the most buttery bread after brioche. Paratha originated in the Indian subcontinent but now a day paratha is popular all around the world. You may have seen in the supermarket frozen packet paratha but I don't recommend them as they use cheap fat which who knows what lol. That is the reason I highly recommend making your own homemade paratha and enjoy with family, knowing what you are eating.
    Parata ingredients- 00:30
    Flour 400g
    Water: 250ml
    Salt: 2 tsp
    Butter: For layers- 01:30
I highly recommend you to watch the paratha recipe video to see how easily paratha can be made at home. In my easy homemade paratha recipe, I have used butter and eggs which is still suitable for vegetarian but if you want this to be suitable for vegans you may skip the egg yolk and use vegetable oil. I hope you try to make this plain paratha recipe and let us know how was your Partha. There is one more thing I want to mention about the flower of the Parada, Try to use more plain flour or self-raising flour, and do not use any kind of brown flour they will be more like Peta bread instead of Pratha. There are many other paratha recipes on the Internet you may have a look some of them and compare which one you find easier and choose your favourite one instead of just sticking to one recipe.

Would it be fair to say that these are similar to Asian scallion pancakes? Will definitely give them a try!
I really appreciate your teaching style and have learned much from your videos 🙏.
